I wanted to join the Royal Marines back in 2016 but my brother died and I stayed with my family here in Germany. Felt a bit guilty for breaking this family tradition. Now I’m a Paramedic here in Germany. Don’t know if anyone cares, just felt like sharing it haha
I’m an American soldier for the past 14 years. I do have a lot respect for the British military and admire their commitment to fight, and support us the American military.A huge thank you a grittitude from a humble American service member!

Britain, while you still have immense power over the rest of us, you show compassion and encourage unity between us rather than standing as a 'leader'. And I thank you. It is an honour to fight alongside such patriotic warriors who nowadays treat us like brothers rather than slaves. Who Dares Wins!

Andrew Small they’re Royal Marines Commandos, them videos were from advertisements so they wear the green beret in adverts to showcase it, because the green beret is what you achieve when completing the 9 months basic training. When on deployment away from the cameras they do wear helmets lol.

FYI The British Army does not have the classification as "Royal Army" like you have put in your description. The British Army is not a Royal Army but one of parliament though many traditions still stand such as Royal Regiments and ensigns the Military as a whole is a Parliamentarian construct it stems from the results of the English Civil War of 1642-1651.

As a Brit that will be serving soon, we don't the berets in combat. Only on parade and other ceremonial duties. They only wear Berets inn the recruitment ads to show their pride
