My biggest question is how well the rest of the drivetrain can handle the additional torque - that's a shitload more shunt that the transfer case, differentials, driveshafts, trans mounts, pitch stops etc. all have to absorb.
I guess if someone isn't launching or trying to do from 0 to WOT instantly all the time it should be fine
Very good, this particular one has been running for 3+ years now with over 70K miles on it without a single issue. We haven't seen any issues across the board with the Macan in terms of handling torque/power.
It's an audi sq5 same everything they can handle plenty of power without issues ie 750-800hp
How does the PDK manage the torque, long term?
Does this upgrade of the 21 Macan S remove lag from start. The lag is really bothering me. I did a weistec tune and didn't help much, it added torque and hp but didn't really help with the lag from stop. Thanks!

Looks great. That car pulls hard. Will I have problems with getting a smog check in California and do you have a similar kit for a 2017 GTS?
It doesn't effect any of the emission systems so it shouldn't be a problem regarding smog testing. We are working on a kit for the 15-18 but not timeline or pricing yet. We should have more information in the next 1-2 months on that.

What in-house tune do you recommend for my 2018 Macan s I have BMC intakes, fabspeed intermediate dual x pipe and mbrp slip on exhaust. Transmission insert and evo 6 diverter valves.
Cobb with either our Stage 1+ or Pro Tune.
What that tremendous amount of effort and money put into tuning this macan S, why didn't the owner just buy a turbo?
look at the prices of pre-owned macans :)
A 2020 Turbo will cost you about 15-20k more than the S,
And as the man says..."Frankly, it's going to be much faster than a Macan Turbo".

Impressive results. Mind if I ask what's the total cost of upgrade package for the tuning you did on this Macan, please?
The key of this is the upgraded turbo ($3495), intake ($459), and tuning ($1595). The turbo is a complete turbo so one could also sell their OEM turbo and get some solid money back out.
ive been strongly considering a macan S as my new daily, in comparisy with an SQ5, my only worry is reliablility. how long to they hold up? and how well? because i know the audi can run for 300K quite easily as ive seen it do it. but i dont know enough about the macan. also, how well does it hold up when tuned because thats a must lol
It uses an Audi EA839 powerplant. The 19-21 Macan S.

Modern German cars won't last more than 120k-150k miles before something major breaks($10k-25k repair). For a high mileage daily driver, (10k-25k/year) get a less expensive used car (Japanese). Keep the performance toy for the weekends or special occasions, so the mileage stays below 80k for many years. German cars are way overpriced, so always buy used with an extended warranty (5-10 years for 50k-100k miles).

Hi, I have just rebuilt my macan 2.0 Base.
I now have higher 980cc injectors but they require tuning to have the car run smoothly.
What options do I have to fix the stuttering Idle and engine shutting down??
The new injectors need adjustment probably for the offset and dead time...
What cobb tool or software is required for this?

Hey you need to find way to adjust fuel map on your porsche. And its not good to change to new injectors without being able to monitor the engine and tune the ecu

Since the 19' Cayenne base shares the same engine could this be reproduced?
Yes it could. The intakes are different but the rest should work fine. The Cayenne is a tad heavier but should be pretty close in terms of performance.

We don't have any existing relationships but any European or Porsche focused shop should be able to handle this.
What years of Macan S does this upgrade cover?
This is for a 19-21 Macan S (3.0L single turbo) but we have solutions for the 15-18 models as well. We're working on support for the newer models.

Any suspension mods planned?
This client didn't want to modify the suspension. It was a steel spring set up. I think it would have looked awesome with some H&R lowering springs!
Looks like it bogs down a little in the back on launch. It could have used some stiffer springs, specially in the back.. IMHO

Is Flat 6 able to tune the ECU for E85 the way APR can? APR is claiming over 400whp with just an E85 tune on the B9 S4.
Also, what did you dyno at without the WMI? Looking for a FBO and tune solution on 93 ideally. Maybe e85.
We didn't see any benefit over e35 mix. Dyno was without WMI.
@@Flat6Motorsports Thanks. Have you successfully tuned for over e35? My understanding is the fuel system can handle it. I've mixed before and find it to be a hassle,so a straight e85 tune would be really preferred.
@@discerning3083 we have not, the high pressure fuel pump was maxing out on e85 so we didn't pursue further testing.
