Great video of a great race! I have run COTA in a vintage FF. The straights are a little too long for these little engines, but it is a super fun track. You should check out my on-board from the 2014 Vintage National Championships.
I really wish I lived in a more dense area for tracks...and had the money for this. Even if I'm sure I'd be one of the back field for some time. Great race, always love your vids.
Champcar or lemons might be a good option for you. Not cheap (nothing is in motorsports) but you can race wheel to wheel in a quick car for $500 an hour or less. Suit and helmet might run you a couple hundred for a rental... that is about it. People spend more on visiting dumb tiki bars in south america. Why not go try out your dream?!
@@xpkkingx I can get into lemons, but the only real track around me is a very short oval. I live a 3 hour drive(plus expensive ferry) to reach a decent track. I used to do autocross here as they would setup different tracks around various parking lots but it got boring quick. Technically I have the money for it, just not really the logistics. My dream right now is being satisfied with non-real sim racing. Appreciate the reply.
@@Sonickrunch I am sympathetic, but only because the nearest "track" to me is Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada and is an 8hour drive. You can make it work if you want too!
@@Sonickrunch Move maybe? A little closer to the tracks you want to be near? No being snarky, just sometimes the answer slaps us in the face a few times before we pay attention. Hope that you get to realize your dreams! I wasn't a driver, just a crew member. Team started in SCCA, then on to IMSA, then NASCAR's old Goodies Dash Series. Nice memories. Good luck, and drive smart!
When you said “we decided to invert the starting grid”-does that mean this is an all for fun racing series and there are no hard and fast rules outside of spec and safety? Sounds like you guys decided to switch it up last minute
Wow... Great job man
Cool race
Thanks for uploading!
