Really cool man. I just got an snk809 maybe three weeks ago and it's officially the edc already. Gonna save the video just incase I get bored of it and wanna switch it up a bit
Thank you for this very interesting video. I have only few questions: What is the cleaner you use? Which sort of textile is it suitable to lay the glass of the watch? Which Dremel polishing paste did you use? Can you provide more information on the rotary-tool? 9.2 mm was the distance between the crown and the case or between the end-point of the crown and the case? Which kind of scissor did you use to run the cut? Do you remove and plug-in the stem-crown couple only by pressure or do you have to screw/unscrew?
I know, right! I wish I could ship you one, but they're hard to find on their own. If you're not up to polishing the case by yourself, contact me to the email in the description. Thanks for watching!
28.5mm - Most dials for 4r36/NH36/7s26 movements should be interchangeable, just make sure they're 28.5mm and the pins sit right and aligned in the movement. Some dials for ETA2486 are also 28.5mm but the pins won't fit right. Cheers :)
Hey could you clarify a few things: 1. You measured and cut the stem from the new nh35, right? 2. Were you able to detach and reuse the crown from the original 7s26 movement? 3. Is it just the camera angle or is the date wheel not perfectly centered? Thanks!
Hi! 1. Yes I did, but it's an NH36. 2. Yeah I was, but takes some work and a lot of patience. 3. It's the camera angle but you made me check the watch lol. Thanks for watching :)
@@remiwatches8604 Hey thanks for your reply! When you say it takes work and patience to detach the original crown from the 7s26: It does unscrew, right? And one more question: What did you use to cut the stem? Was it super thin and easy to cut?
@@arnoldosu1 It should unscrew but I never had it easy. You should warm it up with a lighter and once it cools down it should unscrew easily. I use a normal cutter for the stems. Cheers :)
I thought this watch had a removable bezel that holds the crystal? Great video! edit: I was incorrect. They appear to be part of the case despite the seam.
Interesting. Not sure why you would want a type B flieger dial with an hour hand that covers the inner numerals rather than points at them but to each their own. If you like it fair play, would be boring if we all liked the same things :) I wish i had the skills to create a watch to my own taste.
So you replaced the movement, the dial, the hands and the case? That's a whole new watch then... why was the SNK809 even mentioned as none of it even lives on in the new watch?
Thanks to everyone who's watching, liking and subscribing!
Do you have any ideas for a future SNK809 mod? Please comment!
Amazing skill, truly well beyond anything I could do. That said I think the original is just perfection that cannot be improved upon!
Awesome man. Great job. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Thank you so much!
Very Nice Job. I always match The Color Of Nato Strap on The Color Of The Shirt I am Wearing
Same here! Sometimes I even match them with the shoes or cap. :)

Good idea, especially the loom is super
Great job!
Good job! Where did you buy this vintage dial? I'm looking something similar.
Thanks! My friend in Hong Kong makes them. contact me to the email address in the description and I'll show you all their models. Cheers :)
Cool video! Where can you buy the sapphire crystal?
Thanks! send me an email, the address is in the description :)
the link is on the description now :)
Any idea where I can buy a polished case for the SNK series? It's almost perfect as it is, but a polished look just makes it feel more vintage

Would you happen to know the dial size ? Looking at modding mine wonder if an skx dial will fit .

@@remiwatches8604 cheers dude 👍🏻
A sinn 556i homage with upgraded movement(hacking and handwinding) and sapphire crystal would be cool
It's like you've read my mind. However it's really hard to come across the hands over here. I'll try my best to do it someday :) Thanks for watching!
I wish you could do this upgrade to my watch!
i have this watch...and you modify it so beautifull....
Thank you so much!
I’d love to glue a small dot of blue tritium so we never have to not know which is up on the 809.

Yes indeed! There's no removable bezel on the SNK809 :) part of the case as you said.
Did you remove bezel for polishing?
I want to do same, but prefer to leave it on rather than dent the edge removing it.
Great video, ¿is it possible to fit an NH35 or NH36 movement in snk sleeve ?
As long as the original movement is a 7S26, yes :)
@@remiwatches8604 so, an nh 36 won't fit in a snk case then.
@@alejandroaltamiranda731 depends which SNK... it does in the 809
@@remiwatches8604 do you need to swap the spacers?

if you could have held the watch still for more than a couple of seconds, maybe we could see what it looked like before and after ...
Thanks for the feedback! There's a shot at the end where you can see both though. Meow!
Worst
The original is better...
No recomendable.
