Ilorin " ti Afonja" Till date that's how the whole people living in Ilorin say. Sheikh Adam Al --Ilory, Father of Sheikh didn't dispute Ilorin as not Yoruba Land. Where ever Sheikh Habeeb is getting his information from a lot of us don't understand. The saying " Jack of all trades master of none," applies to Sheikh Habeeb. You're not a historian but a muslim scholar.

Waooo our sheikh is truly not a Yoruba person. As much as I love listening to his words, this version of his take on history is very untrue and it’s placed with just a common sense not actual fact. Yoruba word “ loo’ means represent the same function of ‘Pon’ to make something red ko-pon ko’ Pon means to be red also to be sharp. Same loo ko kunaa’ fi n loo ile abi okuta ko muu’. It’s show much that the Sheikh did not study or take subject in yoruba. I will believe the sheikh is very much into propaganda of make believe of his followers that Ilorin is not a Yoruba land. However, he is still to narrate how the migration and origin settlement of the Gambari took place?? I am very much interested in his clarification on that. Knowledge is power, but pls not a factual derivative of self.

Iam constrained to say the Sheikh's version is not credible, it is full of inaccuracies concerning the origin of Ilorin, the origin of Fula and their spread.
Are Jebba, Shao, Jabata ,Idofian, Ganma ,Ogbondogo , Oke Oyi not Yoruba territories ?
. The king of Jebba wears beaded crown . Nobody says Jebba is an Oyo farm. All we say it is a Yoruba /Igbomina territory. Ilota, where the Sheikh mentioned where Ojo Isekuse came from is Yoruba/Igbomina territory , Ilorin itself was originally Igbomina territory before Laderin ,Pasin ,and Afonja settled there at the behest of Alafin to protect Yoruba/Igbomina territory from Nupe incursion.
AreOnakakanfos were traditionally stationed not stationed in the Metropole, that was why Afonja was in Ilorin where he mounted many expeditions befits that office.
It is a huge lie to suggest he was a fugitive from Oyo. No .
Many of aforementioned towns predated Ilorin, tributary to Alafin Oyo before its Fall
Laderin, Pasin never stepped in Ilorin ?
Ilorin did not have history before Afonja ?
Ojo Isekuse built the first tent under whose territory, and who invited Solagberu to Ilorin and from where ? Where there are various versions of an event, one can any one that suits him. There are other Nupe and Ibariba towns below River Niger sharing proximity with the Yoruba who still maintain their language.
Nobody said Afonja and his predecessors were kings. They were Baale and Afonja was Bale and Are Onakakanfo ---- the title the Sheikh chose to ignore --- and Baale don't have chiefs.
I will also say that there are 39 languages spoken in Senegal aside French, Fula is just one them . Wollof, Madinke and Serer are more widely spoken.
I have learnt take stories of some of religious leaders with a pinch of salt.

The nomadic Fulani pastoralists who wander forests across West Africa are indigenous Africa originating in Senegambia basin. The East African pastoralist are Massai. They are Nilotic, an elongated African tribes.
The political and Islamic religious elites who founded Emirates in Northern Nigeria are actually Tuaregs. ( don't ask for reference . When come across any of them let him deny he is not )
      .
They are offshoots of the Moors. The Moors are a miscegenation of Berbers and Arabs.
The Moors conquered Spain for Islam and were dispersed and fanned out into West when Iberian and Franks Christian Kings of Europe reconquered Spain.
The Moors in Mauritania , a former French colony , where they still surreptitiously practice slavery on the indigenous African Blacks .
The Tuareg and descendants of the Moors , otherwise called the Amazighs.
They differ from Senegambia nomadic pastoralists who are recruited to unleash terror on Nigeria right now.
The Kanuris ( Borno) are offshoots of Berbers and the Berbers are indigenous people of North Africa who were first conquered by Rome before Arab Jihad swept the region in the 8th century.
The Sardauna Of Sokoto wrote in his Autobiography that they were direct descendants of the Holy Prophet ( SAW) , through his grandson Hassan ( RA,) while according to Sheikh Habeeb, the Fula in Senegal Fulani in Nigeria or Fulata in Sudan are offspring of a Prophet's disciple.
Where there are various versions to an event, one can opt for the version that is in consonance with his conscience.

@@AMMediaTV I must correct a slip. The Moors were chased of Spain when European Christian Emperors reconquered that country and spread out onto West Africa, continuing their Jihad , thereby expropriating assets and political institution of native tribes.
