Oh my gosh. One of my favorite dishes is fresh green beans, ham, and potatoes. I am not bragging, but I make great ones. Like my Momma taught me, never overcook the beans. I like a little snap in them. When will they be ready Jason?
Oh man, I just drooled, sounds good even for breakfast! We plant beans first of May and begin harvest in late June or early July normally.
Nice to see that machine work. Can I borrow it this summer? Sure beats bending over those rows and picking 5 gallon buckets at a time lol.
Hahaha! We used to pick about an acre by hand with a handfull of employees now we grow about 8-10 acres. That picker cost $33,000 13 years ago, now the same machine is over $58,000!!

Whats the minimum horsepower tractor you can use with one of these?
I don’t know for sure, but my 3020 has 71 horse and that is more than enough, I would venture to say that even half that would work. The only way to know for sure is to call a dealer of Oxbo.
How long does it takes from planting to harvesting ?, great video and inspiring for a new farmer like me.

I am the son of a broad bean farmer and we are looking for a better way of harvesting than hand picking.
Do you know if this machine works on broad beans, if not do you think that a larger plant can be a problem for the machine, and do you think bigger beans will stil work on the machine.

Can you use this on soybeans to sell as edamame??
I used it on edamame one year but it picked up quite a bit of dirt with the bean pods. It does however pick soybeans pretty good whenever some volunteer plants have grown alongside the greenbeans.
What herbicide do you use in the bean field?
Command 3ME and generic dual pre emergent and If weeds get out of hand, we put on some reflex or raptor, but normally not needed.
