Well spoken. You can tell she really believed in the project. Obviously singing the title role onstage would have proven dangerous, but I’m glad she was able to do it in a studio setting. Her acting in the film is marvelous.
Rysanek only did the role for the film. This was also the case with Stratas and Salome, also conducted by KB.
