And the best part is that Megaman can really use it in the game! (At least in the psx version)

I still got Marvel vs Capcom 2 on PS2.

I really hate how neither the original Megaman nor Roll are playable in Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. That was sacrilegious as hell!
At least we got Mega Man X, Zero, & Sigma on that roster.

Meh I don’t care about those tbh. Especially X who’s just a lame edgy wannabe Megaman. I just want the original cute bubbly Megaman back, and since he’s not only the posterboy of the Megaman series but also kinda Capcom’s mascot, it made absolutely no sense for them to cut him (and Roll, to a bigger extent) off the MvC series.

The thing is that neither Hyper Mega Man or Hyper Roll ever appeared in a Mega Man game before. They've not appeared in one since. It's just a weird move they gave to them in this game for some reason. I wish that Magnetic Shockwave wasn't a PS1 exclusive super.
Despite everyone claiming protoman would end up as megaman's echo fighter a lot of people seem to forget that Roll has been in significantly more fighting games than proto Man typically as Mega Man's echo fighter.

Awesome game but when I play this as a kid. the 2nd partner is just an assist player. How to make you partner playable? Is there a trick? Thanks.
That was the Play Station version. The Play Station didn´t´have enough power so you coudn´t use 2 characters in the same battle. To compensate that, the second partner was just a regular assist.
I believe only the Playstation 1 version only allowed you to use one character. The Dreamcast and the Arcade version lets you use both characters.
You´re right, only the Play Station version had that flaw.

The question is why are these mega man characters in the marvel universe maybe it's disney in an attempt to buy capcom by sending the fans after them.
This was the arcade era, way before Disney got their hands on Marvel.

In the old MvC games, the Marvel and Capcom characters shared the same overall universe (especially in MvC2's case as the villain was original). MvC Infinite changed the lore to make the Infinity Stones the reason why these two universes got united (though it's disconnected from the rest of the series for the most part as it's a minor reboot from a lore standpoint). MvCI has the Marvel characters be more similar to their MCU counterparts, but the game used the same voice actors from their cartoons at the time (which I think were also the same voice actors for UMvC3).
