This looks like a landscape painting, with the bottom being either a bridge or a road, and a little pond under it, and the rest is a dawn/dusk sun creating those ripples and mixtures of colours. Beautiful!
“Looks like a party in a cup” and “so far this is very exciting”. Well said ma’am. Further, to me it looks like a place where stars are born. MMG, stay awesome.
Nice! It is so fun for an artist to hear that her art has evoked such a strong emotion! It is also interesting to me how (I assume because of the relatively symmetrical two blue dots front and center in the yellow blob) many of us see the yellow blob as some sort of happy bloke!. Yup, O think he's chasing the rainbow. If it were my painting I might call it that. I really do think this a fanciful painting! 😃
Wow! You, dear Mixed Media Girl - I'm so thinking that you gotta be AWESOMIZED by the amazing work you've brought to the World of Art! I tell you that I'm sure in the olden days, this technique was not widely known - if at all! It's brilliant! I got hooked last night and I'm going to go for it! I've got a HUGE canvas that's just begging me to redo the startling white into a window to another World! Three Cheers for You! And I really mean it! I've run out of things I want to paint, as in seriously getting lost into that World where the pencil has a mind of it's own and I'm just doing what I hope the World will understand! This, Acrylic Pour with Dish Soap is gonna make me soooo happy! I have a long way to go - I have to set up a spot somewhere outside in good weather and hope that the Blue Birds and Companions of the Great Unknown don't come and crash my party of Colourful... whatevers... I chat too much, but, seriously, dear Lady, that's really awesome! Thank you for this wonderful gift! Stay Awesome & Keep Making Good Memories!
Thank you so much for the great video! Just what the doctor ordered for epic Mother's Day gift. Came out awesome and had a blast watching my son make it! He is so proud!
Great video! As a complete newbie, I did the acrylic pour based on this video and was really impressed with the results. I set my canvas outside to dry on some plastic wrap and discovered the slight breeze had wrapped around parts of the paint while still drying. And surprisingly, I like the brushed effect along with the little cells that I achieved. Who knew!!
thanxXx for making these videos!!! your ideas have lifted me out of my melancholy artistic uninspired mood. That strainer video gave me an idea on what the heck i should do with all those recycled containers I've been "saving" as i have not reached hoarder status and now that they have a purpose, i never will be a hoarder. thanxXx again for helping me stay focused on my craft...
It's like scramble eggs with paint! Abstract art is turning into a cocking book, with each technique comes a different dish and like most,it looks better than it tastes!Bravo!
Absolutely love it! Something I did this weekend, granted I use silicone in my mix, is after u got the paint flow where you want it, spray Way I very lightly about 3 ft above painting! I love it!
stumbled on your videos earlier today and have truly enjoyed each one. Watching art being created has a very healing effect. Thank you for sharing these experiments with us.
Red looks like a road. Blue a little hill. Yellow the sky and above blue and green looks like clouds with an alien looking down from right corner. This is awesome. Been wanting to try this! Thank u 4 these videos. If i make one on camera, I'll link this video. 😁👍💖
I think, importantly for we lovers of art that are still coming to grips with mixed media's swift results (I know ... apologies, we'll get there) this actually looks like a 'place'. Albeit another worldly place, that of sci-fi, multiple worlds theory, and non-human space, but definitely 'place' worthy. Quite the excellent thing.
Very cool. Love the cell bottom center with all of the colors and the critter above and to the right of it...in fact, love the whole painting! Thanks for exploring the Dawn mix!!
Wow I didnt know you can use dish soap. You learn something new everyday. I wonder how long it'll last or if it'll last at all. Im so cheap I dont care I may just use and photograph it for my portfolio to start my masters degree lmao
Omg that is so amazing (reacting like a kid here)! I love the way it looks, especially how the red formed its own path to the other side. TYFS be blessed
Ok...it's 1:54 am and I meant to be sleeping, but Every time I say to myself "after this one, I'll turn off UA-cam and go to sleep but UA-cam keep throwing these creative videos at me.
it looks very pretty. I think the floetrol helps out a lot because I've made this with only soapy water and paint and the results are very different. Thanks for sharing.
I wonder of there's a way to use this method to make the look of waves crashing on a beach? Like, the white foam? Because that texture/look is extremely similar to the yellow lacing
Yes, you definitely can :) I haven't done a video on it with acrylic, but i have with resin if you'd like to check that out ua-cam.com/video/jX1SnkuxshY/v-deo.html
Just imagine you can put those same colors together again and pull it differently and have more reds and blues or reds and yellow and if you had turned the painting the other way I wonder if you would have got more red in it throughout this. This was done with so little paint and looks fantastic. Bravo.
On the upper right (as I look at it on my right) it looks like an alien to me. I know when different people look at art, they see it differently. So when I went back and looked again at it ( because one subscriber said she saw an elephant) I went back and looked at it, and indeed I saw an elephant and an alien. That is way cool. I have all the stuff but the flotrol, and have wanted to do it but was hesitant, because I wasn't sure about it, but now I'm gonna do it. I know each dirty pour is different. It's like fingerprints, or snow flakes, no two snowflakes are alike! This is awesome! Love it!!!!
You wondered where your white paint went. One of the videos I was watching a while ago said that the white paint sinks to the bottom. Maybe it's heavier somehow. But she took a scraper and scraped through it a little bit and got through to some of those other colors. It really look nice. Good job by the way. I want to do a table top and make it look like some kind of weird Stone!
I like the top section but the bottom didn't get many cells for some reason. I wonder if the soap resisted the Floetrol in certain areas and that was why there were certain areas with almost no cells and others with lots.
Soap lowers the surface tension of water so I think it allowed your paint to mix more creating more lacing and using the white to create more pastels. I imagine of you used black you could have some pretty dramatic lacing but would have to be careful with it mudding up the colors. If you did both the soap and the silicone to could end up the but of both worlds. Have you thought of using a lazy Susan to get equal dispersal of the paint?
Now that’s pretty incredible bc the part that you said got muddied up were the perfect colors too muddy up, the green the blue and the yellow, made it look like an Aurora Borealis, it glowed and I love the lacing affect very nice 👍
I watched this with my 2 yr old that I nanny and she was repeating everything you said! She understood that you added soap, and at the end she was saying “pretty!!!” Haha just thought you should know you have a wide audience. 🥰🥰
It's a paint conditioner, I get mine at Lowe's or home depot in the painting section. You can also get it on Amazon www.amazon.com/FLOOD-PPG-FLD6-04-Floetrol-Additive/dp/B000C029PM/ref=as_sl_pc_qf_sp_asin_til?tag=mixedmediagir-20&linkCode=w00&linkId=791d67d9fcf2d897e0e2f81c2b3dc868&creativeASIN=B000C029PM

The yellow middle part looks a bit like a baby anteater.

+Kalista Lizbeth lol yep
Kalista Lizbeth yessss
Why did you use that word.
You disappoint me.
Jk 😂
Kalista Lizbeth i just love the fact that you used the word “bombastic” to describe
This looks like a landscape painting, with the bottom being either a bridge or a road, and a little pond under it, and the rest is a dawn/dusk sun creating those ripples and mixtures of colours.
Beautiful!
It looks sooo cool!! Like an abstract painting of a beach on a sunny day with beautiful blue green water
“Looks like a party in a cup” and “so far this is very exciting”. Well said ma’am. Further, to me it looks like a place where stars are born. MMG, stay awesome.
I never understand art,,,,, but this makes me feel something?? Oddly passionate. I would pay for this.
You dont have to understand art, you can just watch it and like it❤

So I just tried this except I didn't have the Flowtrol stuff. Lol. It came out wonderful. Thanks for your great video
Do they take long to dry? I am interested in trying it out and also dont have the flow stuff
Aren't you the clever one! It's people like you that inspire people like me. Your are amazing! xoxoxoxo-Gardner
Maybe I’m weird but the yellow kind of looks like an elephant haha.
It’s so beautiful I love this! Really want to try it
Ohitskaatherine I was thinking the same!! With it's Blue eyes 😊
Ohitskaatherine Naah you're not weird, it's a cute, kinda funny-/goofy-looking elephant :3

Now that I'm looking at it yeah
I saw a rabbit

Idk how I got here, lol but I'm glad ive literally watched like 10 videos. Im so gonna try this. This is AWESOME!!
I like this alot. Reminds me of deep sea divers, and what they see with all the various colors of the ocean. Nice job!
Absolutely fascinating! I've been bingeing on your vids until I work up the courage to try myself!

+patricia beckman thank you!
I like it. It looks like an abstract landscape. Nice results. Thanks for sharing.
+Kimberly Newsom thank you!
You could visibly see those cells popping up! So cool!!!
That is GORGEOUS.
How does the soap effect the drying process of the painting, though?
I find these so relaxing and satisfying to watch and I was so happy when I saw there was over 200 of these
U sound like one of the voices from secret life of pets 😊
+GetNailedTT I hope that's good... :)
I agree... the cute little poodle I think. A sweet voice.
Lol :)
Omg I’m dying of laughter with this comment she does sound like gidget the white little Pomeranian.
I think she sounds like one of the girls that was on "Rock of Love"

The yellow and blue lacing section reminds me of sea foam!!! Really bubbly and pretty!!
gorgeous! the white is there... it's giving dimension to the yellow, for one thing. love the yellow, too.
I think this is the prettiest one I've ever seen.

Your videos are like crack to me, I cannot get enough. They are so satisfying and, for whatever reason, also very soothing to watch.
I see a yellow elephant with blue eyes sniffing some questionable water in a lake. 😂 very nice!
+Christian mom of 5 thanks :)
That would be cool if it was created into that. With cartoonish outlines. Make it look like a hallucinogenic painting.
Now I can't unsee it. Good imagination '+christian mom of 5'
Christian mom of 5 I see it 😂😂
I kept seeing different critters. A pig, an elephant, an armadillo. So I decided it's a pigadillophant!! It's like cloud watching, LOVE it!!!!

WOAHHHH IM DEFINITELY TRYING THIS TONIGHT
Looks like a landscape and sunset. Very pretty.

I just LOVE how the two blue dots in the upper right corner in the middle of the green, kinda resemble alien eyes :D
I think its beautiful! Going to give the dish soap trick a try!!
Is dish soap a thinner?
+peepla7 no, you only use a few drops. The water thins it and the dish soap helps create cells :)
I watched this with my 2 yr old that I nanny and she was repeating everything you said! She understood that you added soap, and at the end she was saying “pretty!!!” Haha just thought you should know you have a wide audience. 🥰🥰
Just out of the cup, that is gorgeous!

The dish soap acts as a medium I love it and thank you for sharing your paintings I love to paint but it's been a very long time since I've painted
This is so satisfying
I agree

Looks great! Have you ever tried this technique using Clear acrylic or acrylic gel medium along with paint?
+nitestrike1000 I have actually tried the gel medium, it did craze, but I feel like there's probably a way around that
Probably is. I will try it and see too.
Is floetrol absolutely required? I wanted to try but this but don't want to spend too much on materials. Thanks!
You can try it with glue :)
