    This looks like a landscape painting, with the bottom being either a bridge or a road, and a little pond under it, and the rest is a dawn/dusk sun creating those ripples and mixtures of colours.
    Beautiful!

      Nice! It is so fun for an artist to hear that her art has evoked such a strong emotion! It is also interesting to me how (I assume because of the relatively symmetrical two blue dots front and center in the yellow blob) many of us see the yellow blob as some sort of happy bloke!. Yup, O think he's chasing the rainbow. If it were my painting I might call it that. I really do think this a fanciful painting! 😃

    Wow! You, dear Mixed Media Girl - I'm so thinking that you gotta be AWESOMIZED by the amazing work you've brought to the World of Art! I tell you that I'm sure in the olden days, this technique was not widely known - if at all! It's brilliant! I got hooked last night and I'm going to go for it! I've got a HUGE canvas that's just begging me to redo the startling white into a window to another World! Three Cheers for You! And I really mean it! I've run out of things I want to paint, as in seriously getting lost into that World where the pencil has a mind of it's own and I'm just doing what I hope the World will understand! This, Acrylic Pour with Dish Soap is gonna make me soooo happy! I have a long way to go - I have to set up a spot somewhere outside in good weather and hope that the Blue Birds and Companions of the Great Unknown don't come and crash my party of Colourful... whatevers... I chat too much, but, seriously, dear Lady, that's really awesome! Thank you for this wonderful gift! Stay Awesome & Keep Making Good Memories!

    Great video! As a complete newbie, I did the acrylic pour based on this video and was really impressed with the results. I set my canvas outside to dry on some plastic wrap and discovered the slight breeze had wrapped around parts of the paint while still drying. And surprisingly, I like the brushed effect along with the little cells that I achieved. Who knew!!

    thanxXx for making these videos!!! your ideas have lifted me out of my melancholy artistic uninspired mood. That strainer video gave me an idea on what the heck i should do with all those recycled containers I've been "saving" as i have not reached hoarder status and now that they have a purpose, i never will be a hoarder. thanxXx again for helping me stay focused on my craft...

    I think, importantly for we lovers of art that are still coming to grips with mixed media's swift results (I know ... apologies, we'll get there) this actually looks like a 'place'. Albeit another worldly place, that of sci-fi, multiple worlds theory, and non-human space, but definitely 'place' worthy. Quite the excellent thing.

    On the upper right (as I look at it on my right) it looks like an alien to me. I know when different people look at art, they see it differently. So when I went back and looked again at it ( because one subscriber said she saw an elephant) I went back and looked at it, and indeed I saw an elephant and an alien. That is way cool. I have all the stuff but the flotrol, and have wanted to do it but was hesitant, because I wasn't sure about it, but now I'm gonna do it. I know each dirty pour is different. It's like fingerprints, or snow flakes, no two snowflakes are alike! This is awesome! Love it!!!!

    You wondered where your white paint went. One of the videos I was watching a while ago said that the white paint sinks to the bottom. Maybe it's heavier somehow. But she took a scraper and scraped through it a little bit and got through to some of those other colors. It really look nice. Good job by the way. Soap lowers the surface tension of water so I think it allowed your paint to mix more creating more lacing and using the white to create more pastels. I imagine of you used black you could have some pretty dramatic lacing but would have to be careful with it mudding up the colors. If you did both the soap and the silicone to could end up the but of both worlds. Have you thought of using a lazy Susan to get equal dispersal of the paint?

    What is flotral and where can I get it?

    • @MixedMediaGirl
      @MixedMediaGirl  6 років тому

      It's a paint conditioner, I get mine at Lowe's or home depot in the painting section. You can also get it on Amazon www.amazon.com/FLOOD-PPG-FLD6-04-Floetrol-Additive/dp/B000C029PM/ref=as_sl_pc_qf_sp_asin_til?tag=mixedmediagir-20&linkCode=w00&linkId=791d67d9fcf2d897e0e2f81c2b3dc868&creativeASIN=B000C029PM

    • @MixedMediaGirl
      @MixedMediaGirl  7 років тому

      +nitestrike1000 I have actually tried the gel medium, it did craze, but I feel like there's probably a way around that

    • @MixedMediaGirl
      @MixedMediaGirl  6 років тому +2

      Floetrol is a medium that helps the paint flow, you can get it at Lowe's on Amazon, etc. You can use any acrylic paint that you like
