Piper PA28 - unable to start the engine - stuck in Waterford - full ATC - 2022

I found some old footage on my server so I decided to make a video out of it in this video. I had a big problem starting my engine. I wasn’t even sure if I’ll make it from Waterford. I thought I would have to book a taxi and leave the plane behind, but things changed.

Please tell me that when you said “the alternator sounds good” you weren’t referring to the sound of the fuel pump? Can’t imagine any sound coming from an alternator with no drive from the engine…

Is the key on?
Is there gas in the tank?
Did you choke it?
Did you pump the gas peddle a couple times?
Take the plugs out and see if you are getting spark.....

It was flooded. Look at HOT START procedures next time
