Unfortunately postpartum too… best thing I did was set boundaries up strongly and early. I did a whānau rules and posted it on my story and have them at the front door.
The bump comments ‘oh my god you must be having twins!’ Really broke me during my first pregnancy. Seriously . Women just need to stop

I love this video! We have a mastiff/Great Dane mix rescue dog and two little kids. We keep our dogs toys in a basket in the living room and he knows which ones are his and which ones are the kids! I’m sure Lanka will be a great big brother ❤

I'm a "transitional seasons" girl too and no one else has ever really explained it like that. That's EXACTLY how I feel!
i live in the states and have been hang drying my laundry (inside on a drying rack) since high school bc i used to shop cheap fast fashion and one time in the dryer would completely shrink my clothes. 10 years later and i cringe at the thought of putting my soaking wet clothes into the dryer. i only put them in the dryer for 10 minutes or less after they're completely dry to de wrinkle.
OMG!! I’m due at the end of November I wish you were ahead of me so I could follow your steps but I guess a couple of months behind is not that bad. We are expecting a boy!! 🎉🎉
I think a lot of people don’t hang dry in bigger cities because it’s so dusty and the wind blows road dust everywhere so your clothes just get dirty hang drying. Like the sand and salt they use in the winter in Canada blows all summer long even when they clean the streets.

Like you, I loved watching nesting videos, what to buy for baby, etc.. everyone always said “don’t get the jammies without zippers because no one wants to be doing 100 snaps in the middle of the night.” I couldn’t agree less! I loved the ones with snaps because they were much easier to take off and put on. I had a hard time getting my baby’s little legs into the zip ones because she would lock her little knees and I’d have to wait until she would bend to slip her little leg in the jammies. That’s not a problem with snaps! Everyone has an opinion when it comes to anything baby. Whether it be your bump size, how often you hold your baby, the way you feed your baby…. etc. 😒 Just remember that everyone’s experience is different and you don’t have to listen to everyone’s unsolicited advice. Enjoy every moment of YOUR pregnancy journey and YOUR sweet little baby. Also, I love how the guest cottage is turning out. It looks great!

I love Lucy and the merry trio look so handsome. The sleep out is beautiful and I can't wait to see how you furnish the living room. So wish we were going into spring and summer here in the states. I'll just have to live vicariously through you guys. Baby clothes are the cutest, but they grow out of the newborn and 3-6 month clothing fast. Buy some things for when they get older too because the baby gifts start to dwindle down. You look perfectly happy and healthy Carrie.
Hang dry by putting shirts on a plastic hanger. They come out perfect, fresh and ready to hang in the closet. It saves $$$ monthly electric costs. For me I think it’s about $30/ month.

Go get a 2nd jellicat bunny!!!! You will be so happy you do as soon as she is old enough to drop it somewhere and the world is over! A 2nd is a life saver and you can swap and wash and wear them out the same. Oh my lord - if the favourite toy can't be found..... you have no idea..... but will find out lol.

I really love it when people comment on the size of baby/pepi rather than you the mumma. Also domes are amazing, zips are over rated in my opinion because they often make a wave along babys body instead of laying flat.
We stopped buying plush dog toys so our dog knows all of the bones and rope toys and rubber ball toys are hers, and the plushy things are baby's!
