Dude what the hell I can't even express how cool this is. I've loved Animusic for years and you integrated new elements into this song seamlessly. Bravo, my guy
The original Cathedral Pictures was awesome, but DEAR GOD, YOU HAVE MADE IT BETTER IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE!!!!! At first it just seemed like a re-animated version of the original, but then you started changing up the melody a bit. And then the big moment happens: instead of just spinning around, the drum set rises up to reveal a whole new section of the stage, containing an electric guitar with rotary picks and a split vibraphone! And then the guitar goes into action right away, beginning a brand new section of the song. But it’s the ending that elevates this to GOAT status: with the vibraphone adding some nice chords to it-and the electric guitar actually EXTENDING it with ANOTHER new song section as the gongs rise up-before finally closing with an enormous power chord of sorts that damn near brought me to tears. Seriously, it’s THAT beautiful!!! Bravo, man! Bravo! 🎉
My grandfather showed me the original video and I loved it. This recreation is so great because it stays very faithful to the original but also includes some nice new additions. This is phenomenal!
The amazing Kuribo does it again! I hope these Animusic videos become more common, they are awesomely done and such a nostalgia trip. Maybe kuribo can make Animusic 3 for us.
Okay, to start off, as someone who genuinely prefers original Fanimusics over fan-made remakes or retakes, I actually really loved this video! It felt like not only a remaster but also an extended edition because the visuals looked clean, the animation seemed much smoother than before, and the added part seemed to make the song flow much better! I loved that you made that yellow electrical synth instrument shine more by having it activate more often during the song. The guitar pick propeller was also very clever idea along with the extending fingers being an interesting concept too but I did find it a little strange. I always found "Cathedral Pictures" to be my least favorite animation out of the Animusic videos but this recreation undoubtedly made it ten times better. In short, I cannot describe just how many faults in the animation you so cleverly addressed and improved! I really hope you continue to make more Fanimusic videos and maybe even an original Fanimusic too! (Like a better animation for "The Harvester," "Seventh Alloy," or "A Slight Delay.") [PS: I think something like "Cathedral Pictures Kuribo 98's Cut" would have been a more fitting name for this since many more poorly edited versions of some Animusic videos often have added tags such as "Plus," "Ultimate Edition," etc..]
@@absollnk Hmmm, let's see. Here is what I consider "The Top 4." 1. "Full Circle" - ua-cam.com/video/MtcDuqGMvGo/v-deo.html 2. "Genesis" - ua-cam.com/video/x3h40yV3C7w/v-deo.html 3. Me and my friends have made multiple tier lists of animusic songs over the years. This will definitely become part of that. There's not enough animusic appreciation in the world, this is amazing.
this has over time become my favorite over the original cathedral pictures... the guitar just fits so seamlessly with everything else, incredible work~
This is absolutely incredible. The first minute or so is literally indistinguishable from the original animation. You've perfected every model, material, light, color, and animation. Well done!!
Kind of blew you away huh? Probably gonna have to find a way to compete with this huh? Maybe incorporate some fan based apparatus on the cathedral pictures stage for yourself I still think a cathedral church bell 🔔 in brass would complete the set for the great gate of kiev beginning and finale
@@CrappyPastry99 i know but you have to admit that's pretty hard to beat that was incredible makes you wonder if that Second apparatus was actually hiding under the drummer in the original animusic cathedral pictures and they just don't want us to know I think kuribo98 just broke the mystery lock 🔒🔐 and opened up the drummers platform so now we can see what's underneath the set😅😂🤣 sort of like he dissected the drummer stage
@@kuribo98 nah just a way of saying that you guys are very creative with sound that's impressive I listened to your version over and over with headphones and I absolutely love the beat of the music I actually tried to get into it like I'm actually there literally 🙂
after discovering and rewatching the OG and other animusic videos, and having cathedral pictures being my favorite one, yours is amazing. i like to think of yours as a remaster and remixing (as a double bassist, i appreciate the boosting of the bass) awesome job and thank you for this
You're finally back with another masterpiece! I love it! I also love how you kept the early 2000s-style shaders that gave Animusic its visual charm and even the iconic fade out at the end!
This video reactived some sort of childlike wonder in me again. The fact it looks 100% on the dot like official animusic content, with new never before seen stuff, all while being fan made is insane. Amazing video, literally left an impact.
i've known animusic all my life . but watching this felt as if it was my first time ever watching animusic. thoughts of "how did they do this" and "what will happen next" kept filling my brain all throughout the video. i never thought i would ever get to experience that again.
Now I remember why I subbed to you 😂 my childhood memories. I wish the original creators would genuinely see how much their old work still 20 plus years later has left a lasting impact on us, and make something new
I'm very late to this but DAMN WTF this is insanely cool! I love the new additions blended in with the original stuff. It almost feels like a Mandela Effect moment, like wait a minute was this the real Cathedral Pictures?? 😂 Keep up the amazing work, can't wait to see what else you make in the future!
This is genuinely fantastic, and the amount of hours you must have put into this truly paid off. I really wished Animusic 3 would have came out, but I’m happy knowing that there’s still a group of people who listen to Wayne Lytle’s work. I also have a lot of nostalgia for the Animusic duology which is the reason why I come back to it every once in a while. Thank you!
(Whistles though his teeth) To call this impressive as heck, is a understatement. My mind is just completely blown at how you managed to accomplish something so seamless looking, I couldn't tell, for certain, until the bandstand rose up, and I've seen the original dozens of times.
Bravo bravo even better than the original. Smart move adding the market at limogis the big news and this new instrument apparatus under the drums now that's something they should've added to begin with to spice things up a bit and you delivered on Q congratulations 👏🎉😄😄😄😄🎉🎉🎉
I'm staring in stunned silence. You have not only recreated the cathedral to an almost perfect degree, you built upon it and introduced more music and instruments that amplified it all immensely! My only complaint is that we don't see the... "Clarinet Pipes" play their single note solos. That's it. And you wanna know how well you made this thing?! It tricked me at first in thinking that this was a genuine piece of Animusic media and not a fan animation! I believe that, if you are planning to do so, you can and will do the other Animusic tracks and animations justice.
Forgive my over excited ness but this is a new thing I seen and want this generate engineered again with more of the pictures at an exhibition musics if you please 😁😁😁
While I do have some minor complaints about the fact that some measures from the original were absent from this version, I can say that what you've added in return is actually impressive, including the additional instruments. Good job! With the extra movement added, I kinda wonder what an arrangement of the entire suite would sound like. (Don't work yourself to death trying to animate a 30 minute video, though. Just stick to the music.)
THIS IS SO SATISFYING TO WATCH! WHAT?! Especially after being so familiar with the original Cathedral Pictures! Well done! I hope Mr. Lytle sees this! I also wonder if there's any particular sheet music you used for this.
Can you engineer this fan based one again with same new apparatus this time can you incorporate some other numbers from pictures at an exhibition like bydlo, Samuel Goldberg and shmuli, or quarreling children at play, this apparatus you incorporated into the cathedral pictures set really spiced things up a bit but I like to see the great gate of kiev finale stand a bit longer by incorporating a church bell above the stage.
Great job with this animation and extention! I loved it! Now I'm curious if one of these days somebody is going to remake the entriety of "Pictures at the Exhibition" using this animation :o

Realy clever integration of the new set piece. Love the spinney string wacking doodad.
