I love how BSS keeps sticking to the “company director” concept-it’s so fun and creative. In Korea, companies usually have team dinners every quarter, and someone in a senior position, like a director or department head, usually gives a toast. One of the most classic (and slightly boomer) toasts is: “Youth is right now(청춘은 바로 지금)! Cheong-ba-ji(청바지)!” It’s a play on words because 청바지 literally means “jeans,” and that’s why they’re all dressed in jeans and dancing in the music video. I love their humor so much.
Soooo.. for info 😊 CBZ is the acronym for cheongbazi (청바지), the korean word for jeans. In this instance, cheongbazi is an acronym for cheongchunneun baro jigeum (청춘는 바로 지금), which means “youth is now”
5:21 Seventeen are Pledis, so they didn't debut under Hybe, but then in 2021 iirc Hybe became a major shareholder for Pledis so now Hybe is what we call a parent company that houses many entertainment labels within its name, like Ador, KOZ, BigHit, and more that I can't remember. This means that us Carats don't typically associate Seventeen with Hybe since they already had a long career before their label came to be under it (this also applies to Fromis_9 and Nu'est), and it's not like Pledis ceased to exist, they still operate and manage their artists. The only Pledis group to have debuted under Hybe is TWS.
BSS songs are always funny, with a good meaning and joyful ! They gave energy !
