Actually it's corporate America doing all this. They are using Trump to get what they want. And I love that you point out the self harm aspect in all this . Corporate America is all about getting us to pay for and take their poisons. Be it cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, or oil, they did the research, they knew the harm their products would cause, but they sold them to us anyway and went to great lengths to convince us that self harm is good for us. It's our choice they said. While they hid things we needed to know. I was a smoker. I got lung cancer from it. I was paying almost $5 a pack before I was finally able to quit. Since I have been faced with an early death, I've had a lot of time to reflect on this. We have got to end Citizens United. They bought most of our Supreme Court. They are selling out our country. Abbott and Trump worked a deal to sell our countries largest oil refinery in Texas to the Saudi Prince MBS. The same Kushner, incidentally, who when recently interviewed commented on all the valuable land in Gaza and how now that the Palestinians won't be able to use it, the Israelis could move in and clean it up for themselves.) We definitely need to dump our total dependence on oil was my point.
