This was one of the most epic moments in the game. I remember when I said something like, "Now I'm going to finish what my grandfather started.'' Good times. :D
I was strugling so Hard by his strongest attack one time he was low on health used his ultimate Power my Team had 1 heart left i dodged the attack and my strongest mostie was oneshot for this attack but somehow he survived at 2 hp and i managed to win.
@@Nikolai08478 but then again his son was a RAZEWING so those BS levels of destructive might are expected. Guardian ratha was just a regular old rathalos
@@charlie-cv5dfcanonically hunters have lots of trouble dealing with Elders (or any Big Monster really). If we think of how legendary were Red and Guardian Ratha, they are absolutely bonkers. The Hunters couldn't possibly mess with Hakolo Island, since Red and Ratha not only were extremely powerful, but ruled that ecosystem (or rather maintained balance).
In my 2nd Switch account, in which I play as Leia as she is, used nearly everyone of my team at that fight, Ratha, Uragaan, Tigrex, Zinogre and Ruby Basarios
I mainly relied on my Astalos & Zinogre. Those two pretty much carried me through the entire fight. Still easily the hardest fight I'd faced in the game up to that point by a large margin. :P But at least once you beat Nergigante you are then able to find Nergie eggs in Dens and get one for yourself. That thing is an absolute monster once you have it on your side.
I really wasn’t fan of how the nergigante was antagonized in the game. This dragon sure is agressive and doesn’t like to share his prey, and is mostly responsible for Red’s death. But all he wanted was to stop (or eat) Oltura, just like our rider. He could have been an interesting ally I think. Like the Guardian Kirin in Stories. Nonetheless. His fight and ost were absolutely epic.
To be fair, even if it was just an animal, you’re going into this fight with the knowledge that this specific nergigante killed your grandfather. I’d be out for blood with this information
Bro, ngtl this fight took me 6 freaking tries before I managed to beat him. It was only on my sixth try, when I noticed I had 5 vital essence in my inventory, that I was able to beat this son of a gunlance. 10/10 fight though.
Astalos & Zinogre are your best friends in this fight. Nergie is weak to Thunder, while Astalos & Zinogre are easily among the best Thunder monsters in the game, and both can be obtained before you fight Nergie.
It was a nightmare fighting this, after 10 days, i FINALLY finished it. (item drops: I DIDN'T EVEN GET A SCALE >:( ) BRUH, I ONLY STOP WITH A LVL 14 NERGIGANTE [+ more] i didn't deserve it..)
defo the hardest fight ive had so far in the game lost my first attempt (i had a level 17 brachy in the party bc i was trynna level him) but replaced him with diablos the second try and i won literally no room for mistakes in that fight, he legit two shot every one of my monsties and me (and his divebomb was only survivable by switching to ratha and hammer and dodging)
this was the First fight i actualy lost in my first playthrough fuck ton of health for a pre final boss monster and the damage is nothing to laugh at either
