Give credit to Todd Graham and his defense as he had a unique defensive philosophy, blitz a lot, leave at least two receivers wide open by at least 10 or 12 yards and hope that confuses the quarterback.
Yea. Defense wins games. It doesn't matter how many you score if you allow the opponent to score right back lol. And Texas tech did not have much of a defense. As good as mahomes was they still lost because they couldn't stop anybody.
It’s wild that even with that 75 yard TD he only finished with 138 yards rushing. Plus he had that one that was almost a 50 yard TD, ended up being like 40. So you got 115 of his yards on 2 carries, and then 6 other of the 13 carries were short yardage TDs, and that leaves 5 carries he had all game that didn’t go for at least 35+ yards or a TD hahahaha. Plus he caught the ball twice, and one was 35+ yards and a TD! I think that should be highlighted even more than just the 185 total yards ...that he did it all on 15 touches!!! 15 touches, 8 TDs. 6 touches that didn’t go for a TD or a 35+ yard play hahahah. Wow.
Being at this game, there was no question when it came to choosing a game this week. I might be a little bias, but this was the best game. A back and forth scoring battle, as well as running back Kalen Ballage tying the NCAA record for touchdowns in a game. Due to popular demand, I'll be making one for TCU vs. Arkansas as well, but I had to get this up first. Also, the podcast sadly had to be canceled tonight. I realized I had too much homework (thanks college), so unfortunately I'll be making one another time. Thanks again for the continuous support!
Sadly I didn't. That game I just wanted to enjoy in the moment, and not have to worry about filming everything... I wish I did vlog it though because what an incredible game
you live in az??? me toooo... pvcc all the way!!! lol jk were aids. it was an amazing game tho, when the QB hurdled the defender, I was watching it on tv and I went ape shit
Hey bro I attend Grand Canyon University over here in central Phoenix, (like 20 min from ASU) I was at this game as well and it was so exciting. Always a great time watching the Devils win. Hit me up if you ever want to check out GCU. Love the vids, keep em coming.
I remember watching him and thinking he was super talented but still had a long way to go. When the Cardinals were thinking about moving up and drafting him I thought that was stupid, he was a second round talent due to all of his mechanical issues and we would be dumb to try. Totally wrong and I'm glad I was wrong, he's fun to watch and as a Sun Devil it was fun beating him and my goodness were both defenses horrible that night.
He was 50% of the player in college that he is in the NFL. Was honestly surprised Chiefs took him 10th overall, but hey, guess they proved me wrong lol. Give credit to Alex Smith for mentoring. If he wasn't given that first year to just learn the offense and what it takes to play in the NFL, I don't think he would be the same Mahomes we've seen the last 2 years.
That's always the go-to for high scoring games, but I think the offense is that much better in those leagues. Just sayin', Georgia's defense gave up 48 points to OU and Auburn fell to UCF's high-powered offense.
this is the most enjoyable shoot-out I have seen since TCU Baylor a few years back. this was insane, and thanks to good editing, you made it even better. thanks for the vid, excited to see the TCU Arkansas video as well.
"No I wasn't paying attention to the record. I am just here to win a football game" What an awesome answer from an very unselfish, smart, and wise young man. I wish others in sports would follow his example. Sports is being trashed by blow hearts that focus on money and records instead of showing off his/her talent in front of the fans.
that's true, but asu gotta fix that defense so that it would be a one sided game cuss with how your defense couldn't make those tackles was hard to watch. I'm only saying this from a defensive players standpoint.
He had the lowest yards per carry last season and it wasn’t close 🥴 he’s a very good downhill runner but his game used to be very one dimensional. Not quick enough to got to the outside and not shifty enough to make a man miss consistently
breh this ballage dude is a beast. why isn't he in the heisman watch. He looked better than fornette like seriously. Also nice vid keep up the good work👌👍🔥
Not since 1966 in the City Championship game against Andrew Johnson High, when Al Bundy scored four touchdowns for Polk High, the last one to seal the victory.
15 total touches the entire game. 9 of them went for either a TD, a 37+ yard gain, or both. Like WTF?? So in a game where he scored 8 TDs with 185 yards from scrimmage, only 6 times he was handed or caught the ball and didn’t make an explosive play or score. Talk about efficiency!
The lady says, “you’ve scored 8 TDs on 15 touches (IMO, amazing!). Simple question but what got into you tonight?” 7:37 Ballage answers, “it wasn’t me. It was God and my offensive line.” Idk if this guy is in the NFL, but if he isn’t, I’m going to keep an eye on #7. The way he responded to that question was the real answer. Only God can do that. I love that man’s response. Stay Humble K. You’re gonna go places. I hope he gets the Heisman next season.
