Thanks for helping fight the fight - Appreciated.
His video on nuclear power (which apparently nobody else liked) helped disillusion me that he was this omnipotent and benevolent source of information. Which I personally think is a good thing. We all need to be more critical of the media we consume. Some people just don't get that even when it is presented as clear as day to them. However, the points he makes and the policies he brings to light through the stories of these corrupt politicians are still worthwhile. Especially to someone like me who is an Australian in NSW and has seen the effects of such policies firsthand. He is doing important work for the Australian public and whether you like him or think he's a 'lefty UA-cam comedian' he has built an organization around fighting the good fight. Something nowadays we are told to forget about...
I'm curious - I thought he made good points in his anti-nuclear video and alot of them have been backed by CSIRO and others while minerals councils are all going all out on nuclear. What about those videos (there were 2 of them I'm pretty sure) was bad?
@@OrbitalfilmsAU The one where he dresses up as a naked clown from 4 years ago: 'Nuclear power, the idiot's choice? Reality is Australia has a TON of mineral resources including potential fission fuel minerals such as Uraninite (shame the mineral council and thinktanks are now using probably the best option we have for non-renewable energy to now run their corruption machine, it really is a tragedy). All of which could have been used locally instead of being sold off. For a collective resource/infrastructure profit instead of a marginally low financial profit.

His being "immature" is a legitimate tactic. He goes after detestable figures and says what we're all thinking about them. Plus, it grabs attention, meaning more people at least hear his criticisms of corruption. His delivery isn't a reason to ignore the very serious issues that he brings to light.

This is why most politicians simply ignore their critics, going after them leaves evidence and that weakens their political career amongst the general population's opinion more than anything.
Jordan is a great anti-corruption warrior…..except for the fact that he rarely criticises the Labor Party. The ALP is just as corrupt and ready to destroy the environment for good relationships with business as the Liberals and Clive Simpson independents. Otherwise I love his takes on environment and economy and he certainly didn’t deserve what happened to him. I remember the Borilaro fight; the latter was entirely in the wrong.
Disagree that Jordan rarely criticises Labor. The LNP/Coalition have been in power for the majority of FJs career so how is he supposed to criticise Labor in Opposition??? He has previously voiced his displeasure over figures such as Eddie Obeid, Dastayari in the past and even NSW Labor treatment of Jodi McKay. He doesn't hide the fact that he supports Labor but anyone suggesting he is sponsored etc are talking absolute cap

I like Friendly Jordies, have a great deal of respect for what hes done. I have one gripe with him though - his constant comments about "no other media" covering issues while QUOTING from other outlets. Issues I have been aware of for years, claiming hes the only one reporting on it.
I find it interesting that people keep predicating every comment with "i dont agree with everything he says" or "you may not like him". kinda weird tbh.
@ARDENT-CADAVER no i mean it's weird that people feel the need to add that at the beginning not that it says something about jordies that they keep saying it. i have also seen his live shows a couple of times.

Damn, the same guy that made one of my favourite documentaries on UA-cam, also did a video about friendlyjordies. BTW it's the 8 straight maroons video, it gets me hyped for origin.
Prior to Labor winning the federal election, he promised to hold Labor to account. LANOR WON Queensland, NSW and Federal - but for two years Jordies has only criticised the former Liberal Government.
He's been touring constantly, made several podcasts and uploaded a half dozen videos where he blames Liberals for problems Labor should've been working on these past two years
To be fair, if I saw a firefighter in that huge ass truck screech to a halt in front of me from like 45 to 0 in less than a few seconds and shouted at me "ARE YOU FROM THE MEDIA??!" I would put down my camera and just be like "No no dude I'm just recording a tiktok! leave me alone!"
it sucks that he's being persecuted but the amount of misinfomation in his videos is astounding, and even more astounding is how much he relies on populism to aviod being called out for said gross misinfomation.
@@jimbylad7046 of course! First off let's start with the video about pine gap where he starts off with the most bs history lesson concerning our constitutional crisis in 1975. Jordies contended that the CIA and our governed general did a coup on the Whitman government because he was too anti-american, a common left wing conspiracy theory. Bloody Gough Whitlam (the guy that lost power) himself denies that the CIA was involved and there was several investigations into the crisis, and all they could could find is informal links and some small anecdotes and quotes taken out of Context. Unfortunately for jordies, this was the only evidence found, and there is absolutely NOTHING concrete to suggest the CIA had any direct influence over the governer-general, or Malcolm Fraser. It is little more then a conspiracy theory, and besides, the Australian people got to vote in a democratic election a month after the crisis in which the opposition was elected fair and square. Funny how jordies leaves that bit out... If you have any questions pls let me know!
Look at swollen pickles criticism of jordies haff video but probably more effective is watching the rebuttal to jordies podcast critique, in it he points how jordan misconstrews datapoints, uses false evidence, plainly makes up facts in order to justify the labor parties policy. He is an openly partisan political commentator for labor. While good as a voice for dissent against msm, and a decent investigative journalist. He is unlikely to be found giving actual criticism to labor. His persecution is ofc unwarranted and extremely risky and heroic of him to continue.
In the podcast he equates the haff to a visionary policy when most people say its lukewarm, he compares it to the future fund something, something that doesnt make sense due to less money in the fund and it pays out much sooner and regularly.he also claims the policy is untouchable for when the liberals get into goverment. In which if you listen carefully jordies becomes ok with pork barreling so long as it provides housing. He also disregards the ideas that even labour own regional groups may disagree with the policy and ignore the calls made by people in the union sector to push for more significant investment.
I only recently found this guy and subscribed to his channel (FJ not ALPHA) and i did not know all this interesting stuff. thank you (APHPA) for making this interesting video.

Yeah he is pretty much the reason i turned fully away from corporate news after following a number of these stories. ( To be fair it was getting obvious that there were growing issues well before that)
I believe he has a good heart but I also believe he has been somewhat indoctrinated. Jordan is the best of his generation, when it comes to reporting about the governments in Australia. Even a 70 year old like me respects him. He is knowledgeable, smart and satirical. We as Australians need more like him.
Thanks for this - didn’t know about his education re politics etc. of course you can tell his smart funny and well educated from hearing his UA-cam rants. Very entertaining. But to do so under threat from powerful organisations is astoundingly heroic.
I didn’t know about how real world difficult was the uploading of his UA-cam vids - just found them funny & informative
Now I know and will pay more attention to his vids as well as more attention to some of the people spotlighted in this vid.
Thanks for helping fight the fight - Appreciated.
Wasn’t expecting a video about Friendlyjordies from Alpha. Neat.
ironically the house burning skyrocketed his channel
The word on the street is Yilmaz got involved and he was able to de escalate the situation with the Alameddines :)
Great doc , I had no idea so he was until this vid, really well put together, got a lot out of it.
Back then it was still a feasible option and even backed by lots of STEM university students, including myself. Problem was nobody thought it was 'safe', 'clean enough' or 'affordable' then, so it was put off and now it is being used as a scapegoat /easy buzzword for Dutton to try and prop himself up with.
@theiceelemental820 but the whole point is that renewables can be used similarly - but most pro-nuclear fanatics despise them cause they don't melt down enough ig ???
Found the Labor flog... Jesus you people really prove what dolts you truly are.. But, then again. You are a jordie fan... Not much brain matter required there...
Taking any sole person as a glorious idol who can do no wrong is always foolish.
I too felt the exact same when watching his video on nuclear energy.
Fantastic video! Super well put together!
Thanks for covering our boy! 🇦🇺
Australian government needs to see a financial advisor because they have absolutely no idea what the long term consequences of selling off our resources.
They don't care. The results of privatisation over 30 years is obvious, but politics nowadays is just about lining the pockets.
Well done. You really summarised what he does and what makes him tick.. We are lucky to have him...

Fantastic video, really well put together. Good on ya mate, thankyou
Bruz was legendary, Friendly Jordies is a top notch jurno the world needs way more like him
His being "immature" is a legitimate tactic. He goes after detestable figures and says what we're all thinking about them. Plus, it grabs attention, meaning more people at least hear his criticisms of corruption. His delivery isn't a reason to ignore the very serious issues that he brings to light.
Really great vid on Friendly Jordies- thanks so much✊

11:11 this was such a scathing gut-punch of a take-down. For anyone who’d been watching Jordie for any amount of time knows how much he effing LOATHES Malcolm Turnbull.
Thanks from someone who has tried to follow Jordy but was too late to his content style to follow. what he was doing. Thanks for catching me up so I can follow.
Having only just heard of Friendly Jordies UA-cam channel when one of his vlogs came into UA-cam feed, I didn't realize he was copping this must crap as I've only seen a small amount of his vlogs. I'm not going to always agree him, though respect his right to say anything he wants. Thanks for making doco!!
This is why most politicians simply ignore their critics, going after them leaves evidence and that weakens their political career amongst the general population's opinion more than anything.
Dear Your Majesty was my first video of his. Instant sub.
A real one ! Been a fan since like 2017! Such an important figure in the media landscape!
I enjoyed this greatly
Jordan is a great anti-corruption warrior…..except for the fact that he rarely criticises the Labor Party. The ALP is just as corrupt and ready to destroy the environment for good relationships with business as the Liberals and Clive Simpson independents. Otherwise I love his takes on environment and economy and he certainly didn’t deserve what happened to him. I remember the Borilaro fight; the latter was entirely in the wrong.
Yep. He's your standard Labor fuk boi...
@@triwilly Labor’s been in power in Queensland almost continuously since 1989 except for six years and in Victoria since 1990. There has been plenty of dodgy dealings in those years and there’s no law saying that Jordan is only allowed to talk about NSW. Now Labor is the Federal government. I haven’t watched FJ for a while but it would be a wasted opportunity if he didn’t talk about some of the Albanese government’s disasters.
@@littlecatfeet9064 you've seemingly conveniently left out who was in power in QLD prior to 1989 🙃
In saying so, what do you document as disasters in the current regime?
The only thing I would agree with you on is the proposal to table legislation regarding "Misinformation"
Jordan has mentioned in the past he doesn't discuss much of the politics in other states since either (don't quote me):
- His team havnt done the research or don't know much
- Not enough patreon demand etc
Great video just a small slip of the tounge i noticed, "working with companies such as sprite..." Sprite i believe is not a company but rather a brand or product owned by The Coca-Cola Company. Like for example, the Adidas Track Suit Pants company is not a thing, Adidas is however.
Well made bro 👍

You might not like his humour, but you’re insane if you don’t appreciate his integrity, pursuit of truth and frequent work exposing blatant corruption amongst the corporate elite.
You should run for Mayor of Labrador!! Great vid once again.
I like Friendly Jordies, have a great deal of respect for what hes done.
I have one gripe with him though - his constant comments about "no other media" covering issues while QUOTING from other outlets. Issues I have been aware of for years, claiming hes the only one reporting on it.
You can criticize his humor but he has shown to be a person of integrity and isn't afraid to fire at or praise either side.
Typical delusional, he goes after one side, but you think that is balanced.
TBH, he's not Australian of the year material, he's the material that would be knighted just for bringing out corruption
Thanks and well done I follow friendly but I was not aware of all he has Done 👍
Great video, I'd never heard of Friendly Jordies, but seems like one of the few Aussie journos who actually research and use scientific evidence and actual statistical data in their reporting. Maybe thats why he's not on a commercial channel, he tells the truth.
Great video. Thanks bro. I just subscribed to Jordy.❤ and your channel. Have a great day.

Prior to Labor winning the federal election, he promised to hold Labor to account. LANOR WON Queensland, NSW and Federal - but for two years Jordies has only criticised the former Liberal Government.
And this labor govt has been a complete let down in pretty much every category. Would be nice if he kept his word.

it sucks that he's being persecuted but the amount of misinfomation in his videos is astounding, and even more astounding is how much he relies on populism to aviod being called out for said gross misinfomation.
Citation needed. I'm interested in the misinformation you've found
Misinformation? Prove it!
I been following jordies for years now an absolute Legend 👍🏻🌊😎🌊👍🏻
love Jordy pulls back the left pendulum so far like a sling shot to the right.

( To be fair it was getting obvious that there were growing issues well before that)
I believe he has a good heart but I also believe he has been somewhat indoctrinated. He doesn't see ALL the corruption in the whole government system, he champions his political team, being the Labour party & chooses to be blind to their shortcomings & corruption. I have questioned if he was secretly on Labour's payroll.

Liar.
I discovered him through the penguinz0 coverage at the time Jordan was firebombed. I'm a french dude, I knew nothing about australian politics (the only other australian UA-camr I
watched so far was wade from the "trash network", dankpods, garbage time and so on). Australian citizens are very lucky to have Jordan, he might have a very "late 2010's" type of humor but as a 25 yo, it speaks to me and because he gives the impression of being limitless, it helped him gaining popularity, unlike in France where "youtube investigative journalists" have far less viewership... He also took side for the war crime whistleblower David McBride, who was sadly jailed some time ago, absolutely no coverage in France, I tried to raise awareness to my friends but of course that's not enough...
Without Jordan, I woulnd't be so invested into australian politics and because it's still an entertaining (albait dangerous) shitshow, i'm grateful for the noble causes he fight for, his righteousness and for being amazing and funny overall.
