NICE!!! I just pulled out my old mailbox 📫 and post setup. I built a new post setup and stained it to allow the wood grain to pop. New huge mailbox that i bought from my local Habitat for humanity store to support the community. Painted the box hammered metal with a two tone look. After all of that they still put bills in my box. Lol. Enjoy! Day lilies are on point. 👍🏾👍🏾🏆🪴

That daylily is really beautiful. Painting the post black was brilliant. It really sets off the color of the plants! Provides the perfect contrast for any palette.

Just beautiful. Another idea would be a whisky grass behind the mailbox and clematis. They usually don’t need a lot of soil depth to grow and if you get a native, it will be a perineal. So pretty. Tfs. 💕

Clematis likes to be planted deep and have it's "feet" shaded from the sun. So, either mulch it well over winter or plant somethings (hosta) around its base for cool shade.

One clematis is DEFINITELY enough. Try to ID it when it blooms so you know which pruning group it falls into.

Sherry Hudson yes they do. These are in full sun, right by asphalt. So it gets the heat from the sun and off the asphalt. Very tough plant.
