I meet Mr. Wiggles back in 2002 or 2003. I was living in Seattle at the time and when I saw the flyer for his upcoming appearance at this venue not far my apartment I just had to be there. Mr.Wiggles was the reason I got into the b-boy scene in the 1990s. From an early age I can still remember my older brother Sergio jamming to 80's new wave records and synthesizer electronic bass beats. Those years inspired me to seek all forms of electronic music later in life. So when I finally made it to the Pacific Northwest I was instantly surrounded by a huge assortment of beats, funk, soul, house, drum and bass and so forth. Those were the happiest days of my life. Rediscovering like minded people and places that foster that environment was truly magical and golden. So when Mr. Wiggles came to Seattle I was very thrilled. Everything was full circle. My journey from the Lone Star state to the Emerald City had once again giving me a gleamer that sometimes life somehow will manifest itself in small but relevant surprises. It was though I had finally meet a character from a kids story book that was saturated in my heart through fictitious means but with lessons in building confidence and charisma in dancing. Mr. WIggles did not disappoint and I must say he was gracious enough to take several pictures with me. He is truly a very genuine human being and I'm so happy to have shaken his hand. That was a special memory of a night that I will always carry with me. God Bless you Mr. Wiggles for always keeping it real. Solidarity from this Latino who grew up in the Rio Grande. You made dancing worth living when all we had were our moves in the barrio.
