It will be interesting for a lot of people to see an m3 engine taken completely apart excellent work guys 😉👍🏻. Least doing it this way you’ll no it’s done to a high standard and what parts you’ve replaced , plus it’s a good selling point to be able show the extent of the work done stay safe happy new year guys see you in 2022 👍🏻
Brilliant, great to watch someone who knows exactly what they are doing at work. 👍👍
So cool to see you take on an engine challenge. You’re masters at fixing the bodies and interiors so let’s see you get a full house by bringing the M3 back. All the best and see you in 2022.
That's a very unloved BMW engine. Lots of carbon deposits show lack of frequent oil changes. I would look for a short block to then build onto. Re-using the pistons would be risky . Crank and rods have probably got hot from oil starvation. Check the shells for copper showing. Head is worth saving , which is a bonus, but dont short cut on an M engine.
Head looks saving but worth getting it chemically cleaned, refaced and seats cut with the valves. Remember these are shimmed valves, not hydraulic, so someone who knows these engines and has a stack of shims would be worth seeing to sort it, ready to bolt on the new block.
Top work lads, looking forward to it. All the best for the new year!
Top work again, lads, and another great vid. All the best for the new year.👍
Cool teardown guys. Look forward to next vid.
Very neat and organised.
Looks like you know what you are doing.
Happy New Year
Great work guys!
Nice work guys keep them coming. And a happy and healthy new year to you all.
If you'd like to do a BMW project into something special, i've a mechanically great BMW 328i SE E46 1999 in a rare Fern Green metalic, half leather interior, all extras.
Owned for around 15yrs & completely original from new. Fantastic pulling 6 cylinder engine. Great interior. FSH plus all manuals/folder etc. Window motors not working & 2x arches not great (common problem) UK based.
Receipt for £32K when new.
Shame to have it sat on my drive, not being used.
That's exactly the content I love. Most of us who watch these channels I guess have some mechanical knowledge, but this in depth "research" is different. Well done guy's! :).
can't wait to see how this comes along. Great work guys.
great work guys, definitely an engine worth building
Salam Bros. Big work in progress. Great video as always. We attending next vid next year. Happy NY
This is a proper job now. Keep up the good work. Well done guys. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Cool video boys👍🏽
That was excellent to watch very good , and you made it look easy .
Love these kinds of videos where you get into a proper engine re-build!
Amazing work guys
That's super awesome that you have decided to actually strip it down and rebuild it. Definitely appreciated that you challenge yourself guys. 99% of rebuild UA-camr would just swap the engine. Looking forward for the next vid. Keep it up and happy new year. G G!
Great video guys... Will be immense rebuilding that engine.
See you in the new year guys 😉
Really enjoyed the video :)
Great video and commentary too 🚗👍
Great video! You guys should have a million subs.
In a way it’s a blessing lads because this in depth job shows how even more talented you guys are. Keep it up. 👍👏
amazing to see that strip down lads, brilliant content, well done 👌🤘
Another awesome video MahshAllah.
Just looking at all the parts would confuses me 🤣 Fair play to you for taking up the challenge rather than simply replacing the engine.
How about a 2JZ conversion 😁🔥
Big respect to the brum boyz taking this on. 👍👍👍👍👍👍 A lot of other guys would of gone down the easy route 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Sick engine strip down video edit, quality stuff boyz 👌🏻
Hope you had a great Christmas and Happy New Year from Queensland Australia.

I can not wait for the next one
Fair play to you when most would have walked away. I’ll be tuning in to see how this pans out. Save it!
this is awesome. will like to see the engine rebuilt
Boys know what they doing keep it up...
Jeez guys! Looks like a big job stripping the engine completely.
I'm a complete novice but I am fascinated what you're doing guys 👍🏾👍🏾
Nice job.
Good video !!
Awesome guys
Thats an engine thats never been serviced regularly hope you can sort it guys good luck have good new year 👍
Getting stuck in lads, great to see! Most people would have simply taken the easy way and sourced a second hand engine, but they're always a bit of a gamble! This way you'll 100% know you've built up a decent lump.
Look forward to the next vid, happy new year to you all.
Oh, 100k+ subscribers! Nicely done!
no, most people would NOT spend thousands to purchase a used s54 engine you dopehead
Just wow 😲
legends
thats alot of work
The skills needed to do this 💯👌
Surprising the lack of damage considering ... 🤔
What are the difference between a m54 330i and the s54.
I know one is 3l and the other is 3l2 but other than that what makes it more powerful?
Hello lads can you recommend any good bmw breakers I need a bonnet for a bmw 220d active tourer thanks 👍
I've never seen a conrod break like that before. Usually they break at the big end bearing. Any idea as to what caused this to happen?
Top men! Looking forward to 2022?
Great video guys ( not before time !) Be honest now lads ,do you know where everything goes when putting it back together 🤔
Any idea why the rod broke? How many kms were on the engine? What do the rod bearings look like? Very unusual for a rod to break unless there was a spun bearing or a dropped valve seat or something.
Do a proper engine build. Port and polish heads with balancing piston and crankshaft. With rod bearing upgrades.
Will you modify it in any way or bog standard .
the internet needs the next video
wow 10.00 was so satisfying
M3 with a mechanical fan?? That's wild, guess I just figured they'd all come with the electric upgrade. Is it auto??
عالی👌👌
دَم تون گرم👏👏
کاش منم یه E46 داشتم میاوردم واسم اُوِرهال میکردید😉😉😁😁
Best idea is to strip down and do yourself for piece of mind, who’s to say getting another engine it won’t happen again? Will be a great profit in this car if cleaned up right 💪🏻
Bmw 105 cv/l broke.
Mercedes v8 70 cv/l driven.
Diesel cdi same problem.
Safe to say the owner beat the hell of that engine.
LSX SWAP!!
Video 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

I just started studying English accents from different areas within UK as a non native English speaker and I couldn't pinpoint the accent of our dudes here, can anyone help ? :)
It's a Birmingham AKA Brummie accent. Birmingham is part of a large conurbation called the West midlands. There are subtle differences in its areas, and if you find some video of Nigel Mansell (ex-F1 World Champ) talking it'll strike you as quite different - slower and more drawn out. He's from the south W Mids if I remember correctly. I grew up in the NE corner and can usually work out roughly which area people are from.
