San Jose (Kooser) had the Showboat (as it's referred to as such in the Pizza Times article), which basically was the initial test for the Balcony Stage, which was installed at Kooser for the public to see if there should be more of them. Arlington (Fielder) was technically the first actual Balcony Stage.
Also only 3 locations actually replaced their Portrait Stage (this being the Cyberamic version) with the Balcony Stage:
Stockton (Pershing), California: replaced in 1981-1982
the PTT in Sun Valley, California (relocated to the current store in 1992): replaced in 1981-1982
    Covina, California: Replaced in 1981-1982
3 Portrait Stage locations would replace their stage with a stage other than the Balcony Stage:
Simi Valley, California would replace their's in 1988-1989 with a Rocker Stage.
Huntington Beach, California would replace their's in 1989-1990 with a C-Stage.
Concord, California would replace their's in 1990-1991 with a Road Stage.
the rest of the original Cyberamic Portrait Stage locations would close between 1984 and 1991. Lake Forest would relocate in the Fall of 2001 with their modified Portrait/Shelf.

The first was dolli dimples in kooser road in 1978, and the last was the king in 1995, I think that was in Arlington

Are you sure Lake Forest was a balcony stage? I dont think it is.

That is indeed a very tall balcony stage

Thats one of my points.@@SlushysSecret, First of all, the only known stages to have that "wedge" under the stage are the Portrait/shelf stages. They also have their costume room and tech room in a shape that the portrait locations had.

@@john_builds28 well lake forest did have a portrait stage, I guess they didn't lower the ceiling for the balcony stage, and patched up the frames that the bots sat in, and installed the very tall and low budget balcony stage

but that would not be a balcony stage, since they took down every single aspect that makes a balcony stage a balcony stage@@SlushysSecret

Wasn't the first balcony stage in 1979? I could be wrong.
