So I asked where I should buy opal from, and he suggested I send an email to Murray. Murray got back in touch via phone call, and we had an awesome conversation. A really great breakthrough that's going to happen soon is how to deal with these Virgin Valley opals so they don't have to spend their whole life in water without altering their chemical structure.
I've stabilized virgin valley opal with hxtal before cutting shaping polishing. Hxtal is super wicked Epoxy. Very low viscosity. I just heated up the opal slowly under a light bulb , then carefully place the crazy warm in opal in a shallow dish with freshly mixed hxtal and let the heat from the opal draw the epoxy in. You can thin hxtal with acetone or MEK get it to penetrate further into the opal. stock really close together in a styrofoam block. Then I set the opals on top of the sticks to cure. Cure for about a week. It dries water clear. You can polish it it has a high refractive index and it's insensitive to UV light. Once it's all cured then you can take this opals and cut it .

I’m late but Shelia looks great as a blonde.
I am a Bellar before I got married so I of course rang that bell.
Why take the time to treat just to have to untreat?
@@PulitzerOpal ok, now I get it. Thank you for answering my question. I love your channel. I’ve been a jeweler for 40 years! And I love cutting and polishing opal. Grind on‼️😘
Found it
I admit there are some videos I have missed and would binge watch in the Winter. But miss a Pulitzer video..and miss a lot ! Need to come clean here. I named a cat Jaspher, after my fondness of Jasper. Elevated the spelling she is a cat after all
Is there actually fake matrix opal
Lol. I'm glad you mentioned the comparison to Breaking News. That's exactly what I was thinking. The difference is, I'm actually interested in your Amazing Breakthroughs. Sheila seems a little slow.
Been watching for about a year now and still makes me uneasy with the top half of the female mannequin..... good videos regardless!
Mantap..😊👍
Super !
Man you don’t stop making learning fun. Honestly the best way to learn mate! And it’s entertaining! Cannot wait for the other videos you’ve got lined up man. Thanks for doing what you do. What you love. It’s just rad to watch.
Why does this man sound like my grandpa but is actually a memelord ?
You should try caustic soda.
@@PulitzerOpal to remove it obviously
It's an exaggeration of the alkaline
I have some if you want to explore the idea.. that being said it is a very aggressive alkali and should be treated as such. I believe what I have is either 85 or 93.. in that category so it is very corrosive.. the other 15 to 7 percentage being RO water
Depending on evaporation
I still feel like it would work
Anyone else always watch his videos on 1.5x speed? Much better viewing
I think Shelia may be your go to fall guy .I couldn't love watching your videos more than I already do.i love to laugh and you certainly dont disappoint me. Haha. ♡
"my brain never listens to me" 🤣🤣🤣
Can we buy off you??
I’m so bored I ask rewatching your videos!😂🤣🤦🏼♀️
Also a video every 2 weeks?! I wish you were doing one every day but I guess you and Sheila have a life... Unlike me.
2 day video cycle till I catch up in video count =)
@@PulitzerOpal Lol yours clearly take more time than mine to put together plus I'm still fresh and excited. I might fade over time =)
We i fuck up i just walk away whistling 😂🍻
That cat is funny!!
Can't wait to see what you do with that big round hunk, and I want white kitty...
I'll have you know I'm blond and I've NEVER touched a bottle of peroxide!! Seriously! Hair color is made without it now, it's so drying to the hair. Well, that's what I've heard. Other than that, I was very worried about that cat's hydration! Leaving water out in a bowl (changed daily, of course) is the way many animals hydrate. Or there's those little kitty fountains that don't use 47 gallons, like running a tap does! Pete sake! When did I become so critical?? Just now, I believe. It's from getting a headache from listening to all that talk of chemistry and formulas. It made me cranky. Plus, Miss Sheila looked great as a blond! But, since I don't need competition, please change it back. Great video! Apparently, your videos bring out my chattiness. Or maybe it's cattiness...?
@@PulitzerOpal you were talking about bleach?? Then why did you have a bottle of peroxide? Ah. I see. It's that bait and switch thing, isn't it? Fool the blonds, eh? Which, besides being easy to do, makes you a cruel, cruel man! Gosh, you ARE a man, aren't you? In today's culture, that may be presumptuous of me. What were we discussing again? Oh, right, cat's never seeing a faucet before. Were these cave kitties? Still...a very informative video on matrix! Thank you for the video!
You have to explain to me why a video of a cat trying to eat whater plays every time you say bleach
Who are the kitties??
