Great list, their third album is my favorite, the introduction of Redman, how much colder they were, that album cover and the otherwordly outro track, funky piano produced by DJ Scratch, who should have produced their follow up albums. That song is still addictive. This album might not be up their with their first two, but damn does it hold up.
Facts facts. Yes my mine too. And the first one is right behind it. I love the fourth album too. The most slept on song they are made is the song I can't hear nothing but the music I'm slipping. I played that back to back. Fire
The reason why that album had so many clean versions was because of sample clearances. Sometimes the ppl who give clearances may want them to "not cuss" as apart of their clause in the usage.
Culturalist Theory is always Strictly Business. But, fo' real, Strictly Business is one of the albums that made me fell in love with hip-hop as a teenager. 😊
Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith The sickest, the wickest, crazy mad psycho, the slickest Hardcore rhymin, yeah, that's the ticket Buckwhylin, rough enough for Long Island - Erick Sermon
I've heard most of their Albums. Can't say I love one over the other. All of their Albums had hits. I said the same about Trikk Daddy. Thugs R Us grew on me later on
Good list. This was good timing for me because I just started delving into their discog a week or 2 ago (before then I only listened to the debut), still haven't listened to Back In Business tho but I've heard the first 4. Great albums, personally I have Unfinished Business and Business As Usual more toe to toe so idk which one I'd have over the other or whether they'd be in 2 and 3 or 3 and 4 (with Business Never Personal either above them or under) but other than that my ranking is similar to yours so far with Strictly business at no. 1
This was actually a good ranking , business never personal is my favorite but strictly business seems to be to alot of fans the group's best album, we mean business and out of business were both bad projects, its a toss up between which one is at the bottom of the list.
Ah another one of my favorites. I'd say their first 4 albums have all been at the number 1 spot for me at different times. I wasn't too crazy about the 2 reunion albums. I prefer We Mean Business over both of them. Lastly, Erick Sermon is definitely one of my top 10 hip-hop producers. I know my West Coast brothers might not like what im about to say, but EPMD definitely deserves SOME credit for pioneering G-Funk as they were one of the earliest groups to sample Parliament Funkadelic and them for that sound.
Very good ranking. I'm not a fan of EPMD albums but I am a big fan of their singles. I think they have some of the best singles a rap group has to offer. I only really liked Unfinished Business and Business Never Personal the most. The former (Unfinished Biz) will always have historic ties with me because it is the very first rap tape I bought.
The first four albums are all classics.. whatever order you put them in is acceptable, but Strictly is their best in my opinion. Their first albums had my high school on 10( yeah I’m that old). Great job on this list!
Strictly Business Business as Usual Unfinished Business Back In Business Business Never Personal Out of Business Best EPMD Albums of all times in that Order 💯
Wait a second you ain't gonna put "We Mean Business" in there?! Out of Business was my first introduction to them lmao! Thought that album was banging! But Business Never Personal in 5th place you bugging
This was a decent ranking. The only place I disagree with is that "Back in business(97)" should be placed @ at #3 instead of the near bottom! I really liked a good chunk of the album! That 5 year break did them some good 👍!
My all time favorite "EPMD" albums are "Strickly Business" & "Business Never Personal" albums....my least liked album was "Business Is Business". I feel that album was a little too lazy & it the energy between them wasnt there.....maybe due to age. Maybe due to personal issues between Erick & Parrish ?. They never addressed the Parrish Smith home invasion incident & the attitude towards them too is liken "We're Do Shows Together But Afterwards We Go Out Separate Way"..... 🎤🎧🤔🎤🎧🤔🎤🎧
EPMD Deserves Their flowers while they still here
I AGREE 👍!! They really should 💯%!!
Great list, their third album is my favorite, the introduction of Redman, how much colder they were, that album cover and the otherwordly outro track, funky piano produced by DJ Scratch, who should have produced their follow up albums. Business As Usual has always been my favorite as well

@@Dantearmstrong007 This album was rough before that was a thing, E and P was really going hard.
The reason why that album had so many clean versions was because of sample clearances. Sometimes the ppl who give clearances may want them to "not cuss" as apart of their clause in the usage.
good info👍🏾
Yea just like how DMX “Slippin” is censored. That was the only way the sample was getting cleared. DMX spoke about that in several interviews
@@haroldgonzalez2681damn i didnt knew that i always wondered why they took the cuss words out😮
@@haroldgonzalez2681 The unreleased explicit version is out there. No need to listen to that censored bs
Same with Tribe Called Quest

My all-time favorite duo. Haven't watched this yet but Strictly Business definitely has to be #1
Good list! A lot of people underrate Back In Business and Out of Business. Both albums slap hard!
I've heard most of their Albums. Can't say I love one over the other. All of their Albums had hits. I said the same about Trikk Daddy. Thugs R Us grew on me later on
Culturalist theory really said let’s throw it back 🫡 🔥🔥

EPMD G.O.A.T.
Strictly Business
Business as Usual
Unfinished Business
Back In Business
Business Never Personal
Out of Business
Best EPMD Albums of all times in that Order 💯

Cypress Hill....E-40....Spice 1 lists please.
Can we get a Erick Sermon ranking?
This was a decent ranking. The only place I disagree with is that "Back in business(97)" should be placed @ at #3 instead of the near bottom! I really liked a good chunk of the album! That 5 year break did them some good 👍!
Classic group #throwbackthursday
Unfinished Business is my favorite.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥
There was no Parental Advisory on the original pressing of Business Never Personal
When we getting a Young Dolph one

Aye my guy, I'm not gonna let u skip over Dru Down using that sample BEFORE Jay-Z for Pimp Of The Year, a way more classic song than Ain't No
great job/edoublepmd/Funk lord/Trunk Music/Playboy
You left out 2008 "we mean business"
You wasn't outside when these joints dropped. You mispronounced Das Efx and Zhane.
Dog -- I know you didn't say "ZANE" when the title of their first album is how to pronounce the name... 🤦🏽♂️😂
Other than that, great video. 👍🏽👍🏽
Shade business is said like shady business
Come on man
Whoever writing the script supposed to know this stuff 💀
1 misspoken part in a 4000 word script 😕. Good catch. Thanks
Top 5 is right. Just not in that order
EPMD > Outkast. Fight me.
First
this list is defo biased most of their albums are better than the first 2 albums
