I remember my reaction to them being 2nd. I knew if they skated clean, they won the gold. I knew it wasn’t Elena and Anton’s fault, but it was hard to be happy. I threw a fit that night. But the end result was the right one. I saw them skate with Stars on Ice, the first time I got to shake David’s hand after, he tripped over the chair in front of me. A funny memory and I remember how strong his grip was.
@@PjKwong Thank you for your kind reply. I am so sorry, I didnt phrase my question correctly. I meant to ask how long it took to find the truth and advise David and Jamie of the corruption. It's a shame they couldnt have another ceremony just for them. Seeing their flag rise and hearing their national anthem. They really got rooked.
theresa bollman they had the ceremony during the Olympics days later and had the Canadian anthem play. They stood on the podium with gold medals next to the Russians with their gold medals
@@melinalord6929 Thank you for your kind reply! I remembered most of it, but it seemed like a much longer time til the truth came out & they got their rightful medals. I don't agree that the others should have kept their Gold when they knew they didnt earn them, but I guess then everyone involved would have had to be corrected too...and one pair left w/o medals at all. At least something was done.
lol they look exactly the same, they haven't aged at all I feel bad for them & the Russian team involved, getting dual gold medals, I mean, that sucks. If it were me anyway, I'd feel kind of like I didn't really win. It just spoiled the whole thing IMO for both teams despite the fact they were both given gold.
I love watching them skates but they are not as friendly and nice as other skaters in real life. I know people that used to work at the fro t desk in hotel they stayed in they never once came in contact with front desk staff at the hotel to say hello unlike Elvis Stoiko, Marie France Dubreuil, Kurt Browning and Josei Chouinard.
They gave us a brilliant moment/-s of skating to the world, and thanks to their wonderful skate that endless Soviet Russian corruption was brought-at least for a moment- to light. It does not change a lot, and that Soviet monster is no going to depart so easily ( poor Adelina, she is a victim of the same monster).
They were such beautiful skaters together. I feel so sad that they aren't a couple anymore. Just a shame. They were flawless skaters and I loved them.
wow... it's like they never aged...
I'm so proud of them! They are the definition of class.
Нет!!
Нет!!
Are you aware that Jamie Sale is a conspiracy theorist? She is a certifiable nut case....
I loved Jamie on Battle of the Blades as a judge!!!
they still look great
I've never been a fan of theirs, but I do admire how they have been able to set aside their personal issues and continue their career together.

Canada had every reason then AND now to be so so proud of these incredibly classy people and athletes.
Хороший парень. С Гордеевой Катей, он лучше смотрится, они больше подходят друг другу.
I think so too!

Yessss!
They're way cool...I like them!! :)
Considering they were divorced by this time, and Jamie remarried, they seem to get along amicably here.
Gorgeous
Love them!!! Neal H. Hurwitz NY NY
My husband and I are in that situation. I'm 5' 0" and he's 6' 1.
Haha it's kind of cute how difficult it is to get them in the frame together.
How long did it take for these guys to finally get their correct medals?
Am pretty sure they got them there

theresa bollman 2/11/02 was the long program and they got the medal 2/17/02. I think the 15th they were awarded it formally.
