Consider this, for example. Today you decided to improve yourself spiritually and chose to spend 20 min of your time practicing spirituality. Does it transform your life? A little bit, but no visible results are seen. Six months later, after spending 20 min every day on this goal, you feel some change in the way you look at this world and slowly understand the purpose of your life and begin contemplating over it.
After a year, you start seeing a few visible changes - TV games and other wordly pleasures don't appeal to you that much, and you begin reading the scriptures and decide to engage in meditation. After five years, you see yourself wholly transformed and learned the art of managing your mind and emotions. You attained a level of spiritual mastery that you never thought was possible the day you started this practice.
Such is the power of incremental improvement. Watch more to find out as Swami Mukundananda relates to us how getting better 1% a day can transform our lives in a few years.
Action item: Think about what you can improve 1% today and do it every day. For example, if you want to control your mind and bring focus, just practice meditation for 10 min. Do this every day for six months, see where you are. You will see some changes that will motivate you to spend more time on it. If this trend continues, in a few years, you will see yourself the master of your mind, which is the key to spiritual growth.

I am a proud Muslim from India, and this speech from Swamiji has inspired me, very good explanation with real life examples to relate.. Especially during the pandemic me being newly married (1year), in my early thirties, spending most of the time cooking and watching thrillers/movies, loosing that form and shape little by little. I want to decrease my sleep time and overthinking.
It is so difficult but if you meditate daily it will be reduced automaticly
Everyone is trying to increase their output by decreasing sleep time. Years later they realise the importance of sleep. Humans need around 8 hours of sleep for proper functioning. Otherwise it's going to creep on you and start creating different issues like anxiety etc.

Vanakam Swamiji. I am learning to love myself ever since i started to watch your talks over youtube. I am now concerned about my diet, health and life. I want to live a healthy life where small small changes i am doing in my daily life has helped me to shade some weight. I feel lighter and happy about this. I started walking and learning how to heal my diabetes 2 . I now can walk for 1 hour and , I understand what nutrition to consume for healing this condition . Over the last year my weights gone done , I sleep better and have less pain . I love your videos , and I love God with all my strength and all my heart and soul .

I try to eat less and sleap well but the chain breaks down and lots of health issues invade us from the routine Give us some harsh tips
I will do Exercise i.e running & Stretching for 1 hour And do Yoga , meditation for half an hour And read self help books for 20 min.

I am trying.i put my alarm at 4.00,4.300 and 5.00.
Use the 5 second rule, so that when the alarm rings, within a count of 5 seconds, just get off the bed before resistance overtakes you
I wanted to make the habit of waking up at 5; I used to wake up at 7:30, I worked on it by waking up half an hour earlier every week until I made it. Now, I can’t sleep past 6 even if I want to. It’s one of the best decisions I made! All the best!

I also have many problmes in life I stay with my dad only my mom and brother lives apart from us I daily wake at 5:30 in the morning chant and than have breakfast and than study. Daily I have to do household work which was my mom was to do but bevause of some personal problem I have to do it life is very much challenging for me my weak point is my health sometimes it very difficult to manage. 😔😭

I Wake up at 3 am daily
Then i give 1 hour to my body fitness i do meditation and exercise and go to bath at that time then i study for 5 hours till 9 am . Till that time i have completed my whole day efficient study .

Now i wake up early around 4 am or sometimes 4.30 am but still lack quality in my mediation n studies plus excercise also.
1) I want to build healthy eating habits without any regrets n without missing any junk food .

3) Quality hours of studying
4) And most importantly i want to avoid all the negativities around me from family members.
