  • A selection of pictures trawled from the internet featuring Devon General (which owned and operated Grey Cars and Greenslades). It was taken over by the Tillings Group of Companies as a division of Western National in the 1970's. The City of Exeter Corporation buses were, over a period of about 5 years, absorbed into Devon General's fleet and eventually received the red livery. Royal Blue Coaches, Western and Southern National buses make odd appearances in this slide show too, along with Devon General's very famous "Sea Dogs" that graced the Torquay/Paignton/Brikham/Kingswear coastal routes.

    Beautiful!
    Ps
There is a picture of the Newton Abbot bus station in the very excellent book by Nigel Bruce-Robertson 'Devon General As It Was.
I might make a model of it.

Hi Michael! Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I was at work this morning at Heathrow and saw your comment on my phone - when I closed the window I must have hit the letter "b" by accident!
