i don't know if it's true because i just read it somewhere, that the april girls were bullying someone when they were still trainees /predebut and hyunjoo protected the victim. told the april members to stop but instead, the members bullied her in place of the victim she protected. another factor is that they were jealous of her because she's the visual and the center. she received the most praises from fans and nonfans because of her visuals and she has the most recognition from the people.

I don’t understand how some people could actually side with the other APRIL members and “sense that hyunjoo is the snake”. Like are you blind? So many evidence of the other members bullying her even so openly on show, imagine how they treat her privately. The company is even blaming hyunjoo saying that the other members are the victims. I supported Hyunjoo when the controversy came out even when I was Naeun's fan, but now all of Hyunjoo's inconsistencies and the police statement where she couldn't confirm the bullying stated by Hyunjoo's brother and her friend came out, and it's really confusing. Looking at the timeline, it doesn't make sense that Naeun bullied her since early 2015 when she joined the company 3 months before her debut. Hyunjoo said that Chaewon bullied her to become close to Somin, but Chaewon was close to Somin from before. It can be seen in the program where they participated before debuting. It is also known that they trained together for two years. Hyunjoo mentioned that her family was aware of the bullying from the very beginning, however her mother was close with Chaewon's mother. They used to go out to buy clothes for the girls and supported each other. Look, how can a mother be close to the mother of the girl who bullies her daughter? Because that friendship lasted until Hyunjoo left the group. It doesn't make sense, no matter how you look at it. 1)Hyunjoo herself told in the interview in Nov 2015 that they started practicing and living together for about half of year. She also told that she and other April members were got along very well (there's also an article about this). 2) Hyunjoo's brother said that April and the managers left her sister alone when she fainted during practices and schedules. But, there're multiple articles posted on fancafe saying the manager carried back hyunjoo who was at the time.

I know that there may be more talented people, but idols also need stage presence and have to draw people in. I think that's one of the factors that she got in. She drew attention and she did the performance with confidence, even if she isn't the best singer or dancer.
She is actually treating being an idol as a job and if she is textbook idol, then she is doing it terrifically fine :) She is just being professional. Although I don't usually follow Korean idols nor I watch Korean dramas, recently I happened to swipe through this news online. the thing some people don't seem to understand is that you can't just have dancers and singers in a group. if you look at any successful groups, you can instantly pinpoint to the charming ones, they attract you to the group, and the talent makes you stay.
however some charms can also make you break away from a group. As someone who lives on a tropical island the "I wanna be the cute baby doll face" certainly repulse me as that seems faked and forced. No jealousy or anything but I do find that really weird for human being to be a doll. If you talk about charm, it's when you're not trying to charm but is still charming. the company didn't really denied her brother's bullying accusation because their statement basically says that hyunjoo is the one at fault. they've admitted to the bullying issue but they are not aware because they thought pushing the blame to hyunjoo will make the people on their side when it's the complete opposite. this case blown up in korea, even my non-kpop brother who is living in korea knows about this issue and he said everyone is supporting and on the side of the victim, hyunjoo.

So now with the proofs of the medical records showing her attempted suicide, it just made all the statement, claims and excuses by DSP lose all the credibility. The claims made by everyone who's on April's side were implying that she should be blamed, they even justified why she was ostracized. They also dismissed the claims made by her brother about the suffering she went though. The victim blaming is obvious and the fact they denied and took lightly of her attempted suicide is the final nail in the coffin imo. The whole group bullied her to point of attempting suicide and DSP failed to protect and take care of her. DSP gave reason for her departure as "Want to pursue a career as an actress" but later she auditioned for The Unit as seen here which means her dreams and passion of becoming an idol never stopped. Therefore the official statement about the reason of her departure was untrue in the first place, it was just an excuse made by DSP. She even cried here when Taemin praised her which showed that she went through alot and never expected to receive praises and kind words after what she went through with DSP and April. The tears here showed how much she wanted this and was grateful she was given a 2nd chance. I hope Hyunjoo is doing okay, become stronger and that she'll keep pursuing her dreams.

I supported Hyunjoo when the controversy came out even when I was Naeun's fan, but now all of Hyunjoo's inconsistencies and the police statement where she couldn't confirm the bullying stated by Hyunjoo's brother and her friend came out, and it's really confusing.
Looking at the timeline, it doesn't make sense that Naeun bullied her since early 2015 when she joined the company 3 months before her debut. Hyunjoo said that Chaewon bullied her to become close to Somin, but Chaewon was close to Somin from before. It can be seen in the program where they participated before debuting. It is also known that they trained together for two years.
Hyunjoo mentioned that her family was aware of the bullying from the very beginning, however her mother was close with Chaewon's mother. They used to go out to buy clothes for the girls and supported each other. Look, how can a mother be close to the mother of the girl who bullies her daughter? Because that friendship lasted until Hyunjoo left the group. It doesn't make sense, no matter how you look at it. If my daughter is bullied, there is no reason why I would want to be friends with that bully's mother.

1)Hyunjoo herself told in the interview in Nov 2015 that they started practicing and living together for about half of year. She also told that she and other April members were got along very well (there's also an article about this).
2) Hyunjoo's brother said that April and the managers left her sister alone when she fainted during practices and schedules. But, there're multiple articles posted on fancafe saying the manager carried back hyunjoo who was at the time.

I know that there may be more talented people, but idols also need stage presence and have to draw people in. I think that's one of the factors that she got in. She drew attention and she did the performance with confidence, even if she isn't the best singer or dancer.
She is actually treating being an idol as a job and if she is textbook idol, then she is doing it terrifically fine :) She is just being professional. Although I don't usually follow Korean idols nor I watch Korean dramas, recently I happened to swipe through this news online. It makes such a strong impression for me as a survivor of bullying back in highschool. I am glad that she stepped up and talked about it.

the thing some people don't seem to understand is that you can't just have dancers and singers in a group. if you look at any successful groups, you can instantly pinpoint to the charming ones, they attract you to the group, and the talent makes you stay.

however some charms can also make you break away from a group. As someone who lives on a tropical island the "I wanna be the cute baby doll face" certainly repulse me as that seems faked and forced. No jealousy or anything but I do find that really weird for human being to be a doll.

So, supposedly she's someone who abandoned her group because she's lazy and sickly causing the group's disharmony? But all I can see is a hardworking girl giving it all
So now with the proofs of the medical records showing her attempted suicide, it just made all the statement, claims and excuses by DSP lose all the credibility. The claims made by everyone who's on April's side were implying that she should be blamed, they even justified why she was ostracized. They also dismissed the claims made by her brother about the suffering she went though. The victim blaming is obvious and the fact they denied and took lightly of her attempted suicide is the final nail in the coffin imo. The whole group bullied her to point of attempting suicide and DSP failed to protect and take care of her.
DSP gave reason for her departure as "Want to pursue a career as an actress" but later she auditioned for The Unit as seen here which means her dreams and passion of becoming an idol never stopped. Therefore the official statement about the reason of her departure was untrue in the first place, it was just an excuse made by DSP. She even cried here when Taemin praised her which showed that she went through alot and never expected to receive praises and kind words after what she went through with DSP and April. The tears here showed how much she wanted this and was grateful she was given a 2nd chance. I hope Hyunjoo is doing okay, become stronger and that she'll keep pursuing her dreams.
