@@DeletedDevilDeletedAngelno, I worked at an arcade with prizes and those balls were one of them, I think the store paid like 25-30cents for the ball. And they are pretty cheap too, they get blown up as they are ordered but you’ll end up blowing up 3 before you find one without a tear in the shiny fabric.
@@DeletedDevilDeletedAngelalso, sorry, if the machine is valued at 2$, then the balls cost a lot less. The store wouldn’t take a loss in profit, and they make the machines harder (they mess with the settings for the claw) to make sure it takes a few tries to get one. You’d be surprised how little these arcades pay for prizes, the big dolls they pay 2$ for and then price them at 60$. I know this because as an employee I was allowed to purchase toys for the price we payed to have them in.

@@debrh.b By law you have to let people win if there is a machine that is rigged to never win then those are illegal. Most states force a payout rate and usually it's the minimum amount possible.

Wont lie, having had to fix a very similar looking machine multiple times 💀 the claw should not be sinking like that. Someone really messed up the sensor. Sure it may be on purpose but, thats whats causing it to drop way too low. Either that or the rope is breaking

It’s amazing to me how people ever win these things when they’re so clearly set up to scam you. That thing drops like 4 feet further than it should so it is more likely to just push anything you’re trying for out of the way, the claws are usually barely strong enough to hold anything, it stops before it gets back to the top and jerks itself the last inch to try and dislodge the prize, and then it jerks all around when returning to the prize drop.
You're overthinking it. The claw is literally programmed to only put clamping force on the claw once every so many drops. This allows the operator to control how often it wins. In this video, the first drop was one where the claw wasn't holding so it just slips off. In the last drop, it's a win and set to hold tight.

Every claw machine video I see, the claw machines are filled with wonderful things I’ve always wanted, glad to see an ACTUAL representation of what REAL claw machines look like.

I had one of these at my arcade job, the first time I went to fix it I noticed that the win chance was “115%” and I was so confused on how it could be higher than “100%” so I asked and was told that it just closes quicker and harder, now I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I did only see 4 people fail to get a ball after working their for almost a year
You have to set the machine based on the prize. Balls have to have a different setting than oddly shaped prizes, so i can totally see it being set like that. If your machine had balls, but you switch to stuffed animals or have a mix, but keep it set for the balls, then youll have a highnchance of getting the ball which is the cheap prize, but a very low chance of the other styles.
I thought you'd end up grabbing one of the tiny decorative balls somehow. That would've been hilarious

I had the opportunity to go inside of one of those machines. The claw has the ability to go up and down and strength. If you turn that thing all the way up, you get a prize every single time.

You can always tell a claw machine is super rigged when it doesn't even trigger at the absolute most solid impact you could expect.
I have to be honest, we have one of these machines at our nearby dave and busters. They are honestly the easiest claw machines to use and I've one each time I used it. Glad these exist, they are the more forgiving claw machines out there.
I remember when D&B used to fill those claw machines with prizes like stuffed bears and candy themed plushes. Now it's weird triangles to earn tickets.
