I was 19 and he was 21 when we met. Two and one half months later we got married. Our rings also cost 40 each and we paid on them for months. Everyone said it wouldn't last. That was over 52 years ago and we love each other more and more every day. Thank you, Lord, for the abundant life you have given us.
My sister and her boyfriend, who was a big jerk, had a roller coaster relationship for 1 year when he told her he wanted them to start going to church. 2 months after that he decided he wanted to start following after God, and began treating her right. 5 months later they got engaged. Yesterday they were married before 100 witnesses of his transformation, and this was the song for their final dance.
Oh my word-- I never found a "love song" to that I thought was perfect for our wedding but if I had found this- this is PERFECT. THANK YOU FOR MAKING SICH A BEAUTIFUL LOVE SONG that references the Gospel as well!!!
I got to meet Andrew Peterson in 2008 at a small church concert in IL. What a humble guy who loves Christ, unashamedly lives for Him and boldly proclaims truth. Love his music, it's so soothing and wonderful. Keep fighting the good fight 🤙✝️
My parents have been dancing in the mine fields for 50 yrs, and now they are in the shadowlands as my dad has cancer and alzheimers.....the line 'remind me when I forget my name' is so very poignant....this song is wonderful reminder that the shadows will disappear....not only our promises to each other carry us but the promises of God to restore all things new. Beautiful song!!!
Anytime my husband and i are going through a growth situation that is hard, i listen to this song and i am so encouraged. Thank you! My prayer is that we are a testimony of the power and humility of Christ in a lifetime of marriage
Today my 21 year old daughter starts her dance in the minefields. This song has ministered to me so much through the years. More so recently as a dad who is watching his daughter start her journey in marriage. Thank you Andrew for your music.
Andrew, I praise the Lord for this beautiful and biblical message. I listen to it at least once a day. Forget about your detractors, this music and lyrics are heard in heaven where we will reach perfect unity one day soon. Pls continue to serve our Master with adoration. Love to you Brother.
This song so perfectly describes our marriage. We've survived so many things that destroy many marriages today - special needs children, military life, pornography addiction and more - by the Grace of God. We claimed this as our song the first time we heard it and played it at our renewal of vows on our 25th wedding anniversary a year and a half ago. The Promise will help you hold it together if you let Him.
I have high functioning autism my husband has high functioning autism too we’ve been together for 10 years and married 8 years now my husband is 53 I’m 39
I left for an appointment this morning, and this was the first song I heard on the radio on my way there. Things are very difficult in our lives now, but I'm standing by my husband and my family because of the promise we made @ 19, 15 years ago next month. I couldn't stop crying, this song so hit the nail on the head. Turns out that my appointment isn't until this afternoon---so I know GOD put me in that car to hear that song today. This is my new favorite song!
My love was 19 and I was 20 when we pledged our lives to one another. That was 60 years ago and we are hoping for many more although we know that God is and has been in charge in the and will be in the future. Hope abounds!
My big sister got married yesterday and had this as her first dance song. She's nineteen, her husband is twenty-one. I'll admit that I cried the whole time.
My husband and I were married 2 years ago today, and I have to say that we've definitely been dancing through the mine fields. My family and those around us told us that we were rushing into getting married, but we knew without a doubt that God was leading us to be married. So after only knowing each other for 3 months, we got married the day between our birthdays - His on Jan 11th and mine on the 13th. God is truly great! And has never failed to provide. Thank you Andrew for writing this song!
@@DaveKerwin77 - C--id hit us pretty hard. We lived in a lot of fear and made some choices that weren't God glorifying. We're still married, but we are currently seeking help from our church. We're praying that God continues to work in us and in our marriage. ☺️
@@SolaceNaturalLiving We live by Grace. I have been playing Matthew West's song over and over again, to settle my mind about forgiveness and Grace. The song is "Only Grace" and it will bless you. Stay on the narrow road. Grace and peace to you.
I danced with my girlfriend for the first time to this song at her sisters wedding the other day. I love this song so much, I couldn't hear it though, her eyes were too distracting. This song shows commitment and making God the center of your relationship, that's what I plan to do. How Andrew made this song.. I have no idea, it's perfect Just thought I'd share that
Fantastic song and lyrics on the positive aspects of marriage! I was just telling a friend last night, without Christ at the center of your marriage, it is definitely a hard road to travel. Having Christ at the center doesn't make it trouble-free, but it does allow you to put things in perspective and enable you to put your spouse's needs before your own. That changes marriage!
My favorite song about marriage... "harder than we dreamed, but I believe that's what the promise is for". Thank you Andrew Peterson, for putting these words to song! "We bear the light of the Son of Man, so there's nothing left to fear." Amen!!
Icebat xx I love you... you may not love me, but I love you. That God is the one who will find you even when you do not look. The God that will come to you in the valley of the shadow of death where no one else will or can go. There is no number or website, just a heart willing to ask the question... who are you God?
The Promise is what it's all about. Love is about commitment, not emotion, and certainly not about a physical urge. Jesus promised He'd never leave nor forsake us. That's one of precious few promises worth applying to a marriage based on Christ.
What truth! It is work and often feels like sailing in a storm. It is hard! When we trust that God's strength and promises, He sustains. Don't give up. Cling to one another through the power of Christ! I am so thankful for a husband who is still dancing with me...and plans until God calls one of home.
When I hear this song I think of my "husband". We're high school sweet hearts it's been 17 yrs and I still get butterflies like I did as school girl when he smiles at me. We never officially got married but we have that forever bond. Things are sometimes hard but we both think it's worth fighting to stay together cause the love is there. True love is so rare to find now days. I feel like God has blessed me so much giving me such a wonderful man to share my life with.
I have been listening to a Christen redio staion and this is one of the songs I love the most. The more I listen to the staion the more I think, I can do this, I can make it through this life. I have belived in God for all my life and know He has always walked with me, but it has been two year sence I have chosen to give my life to Christ. I struggle but that is the way of things.
We got to hear Andrew perform this live when he was touring with Bebo Norman on his "Farewell" tour two years ago. My wife and were married when she was 16 and I was 18. Next March we will mark 39 years together. It feels like this song tells our story and I'm sure we are not alone. There have been a lot of laughs, and a few tears through it all. Somehow, we've held it together, although it would be a lie to say it's been easy (definitely easier for me than her though...she truly is the better half of us). We have four wonderful, hard working and loving children (and two grand kids). Praise God for bringing us through the hard times to get to where we are.
Grant Frentz ; thanks for being a witness to real ,everyday grace. At the ⛪ I attend there's an older couple in their 90s,they've been married for 70 years. It is such a wonderful blessing to see how God has woven them into each other. Nearly seamless in how they live, Truely beautiful to see real salt &light in the world of today !
To this song I say "I wish" I only hoped I would have accomplished that kind of love and commitment in my life. I know I have provided it to others but I do not have it now. At 30 the only woman I feel that ever loved me died. I sit here now just turned 40 and I still have dreams. To my God I pray!
Even though we werent walking with him before we were married and even though we 'accidentally" got pregnant..God is still in charge and has a plan for us and our children they were NOT a mistake and neither was our marriage. I thank God everytime I se my husband get stronger in his faith and lead us big or small be it prayer at meals or holding me tight and praying over me when im having a freak out.
On June 4th 2011 I married my best friend and this was our first dance song. We are 19 years old and love nothing and no one more than Christ. What a beautiful song.
Ive listend to this song the past mon th multiple times a day. We also bought our rings at a pawn shop in town lolMy husband has made so many good changes and he has stood by me in my struggle with sever bi-polar dissorder and the diagnoses of our oldest son with possablr adhd/highfunctioning autism/and sensory processing disorder. We each have our own issues and strugles and have hurt one another deeply. But I KNOW God is faithful! And I KNOW he brought us together for a reason!
Chelsea Mersereau ;my dear sister, God never has to say oops. Neither you as a person,or your marriage to your husband is an accident. Might I suggest you two read psalm 139 together, with emphasis on verses 15-17. And Btw : grace & peace rest upon the union of your covenant !
I just heard this song yesturday for the first time Wow! I like the message. I have a 14 yr old son w/ inoperable stage 4 bone cancer (Ian) he is the joy of our lives. We are indeed doing our best to "dance in the minefields" as we trust completely in the merciful hands of the Father. Please pray for a christmas miracle. Love you and bless you! :)
Prayers for you and your family! I am 9 years too late to comment but I appreciate your trust in our merciful God with all that you are going through.. I struggle with trusting God for no reason, but your comment has encouraged me, thank you for sharing ❤️
I was 19 he was 29 when we got married. Today is our 9 year anniversary. I thank God everyday for helping us every step of the way. There is nothing quite like marriage. It has it's ups and downs but even through the downs it's so worth it.
Just heard this today. Don't get to see many vids on tv today...too many reality shows or stupid cr*p on. I love this!! Marriage is not a perfect thing...but with the right person...it lasts. I'm crying...waiting for that day...and it still has not come along. Sometimes...we never get it...but we can't give up.
So wonderful to hear about your parents Odnthate0love0. I am the mama who left my husband a few years ago...Not what I thought life would look like. Especially now that I have found a "real" relationship with God...So happy for your parents...AMEN
There is so much truth said in this song. Spouses need to lay their own lives down in exchange for the life of their loved ones, only like that marriage would be what it once was. It is only those who have been able to understand this -through the grace of God- that have been able to live the fruits and joy of the married life until death.
I love this song!! My finance and I are dancing to this song for our wedding this year. I love the message in this song and the promise of God in a marriage, and that God will lead us in our marriage! No matter what we may go through God makes everything possible.
Jesus used this song to literally DELIVER ME from a fear of marriage. I’m so grateful for this song. My wife and I have been married seven years now. Andrew, I hope you see this ❤
Just officiated my first wedding. Used this song to format the second half of the ceremony before the covenant vows. Thank the Lord for using you and thank you Andrew for your faithfulness! We renamed the song for the ceremony. "That's what the Promise is For."
I was 19 my wife was 18......It's been 31 years and God has brought us through so many Mine Fields with more to come. But our love for each other has grown deeper than I could ever imagined. Only God could have cultivated this love and directed us through this thing call life (Mine Fields). Andrew thank you for doing this song.
17 years married, many laughs, many tears, a lot of holding hands and repeatedly asking forgiveness, yes minefields and storms but still dancing together and no doubt God has been our help. Most of all I want to keep on being loyal and enjoying life next to him until the end.
My wife and I just got married on sept 10th and parents surprised us with a photo album of us since I proposed and looking back at all the smiles and joy this journey is such an exciting one and with Christ at the head of the house my wife and I grow in love each day the joy I get from taking care of her loving her is something that will never change
Elias Chaves my prayers with you do not give up on praying ,praise Jesus when you do not understand , marriage is honorable and God will fight for you , Love alone is worth the fight . Keep seeking the Lord with all your heart you will find Him
How are you doing? My husband left me in 2006, and I still call him my husband and pray for him. Some couples are getting married again to each other after years of being divorced. I have three playlists on this subject.
Walking by the Spirit Always my mother did what you did and chased after my more-than-crappy father for 16 years. I don't know your story, but my mom is now working through virtually irreperable damage in her mind and heart and it has affected our relationship badly. Do NOT do the same foolish mistake, especially if he's the one at fault and wasn't man enough to live out his commitment to you. The Lord have mercy and preserve your hurting soul.
love love love this song! so beautiful my husband was 20 and I 24 when we got married, we have been married 12 years now and have 6 amazing little blessings, God has richly rewarded me as I did not come back to God as a true Christian until I met him and saw his real, true, enduring faith in our Lord Jesus. Congrats to Ben and Jessa Seewald!
My grandparents got married young and my grandma lost her husband about 30+ years ago now. She's starting to loose her memory and everytime I'm with her, she starts crying saying she misses him so much and wishes God would take her so she could be with him. Those older couples dancing in the video... that will be them when she gets to heaven.
God strengthens me by giving me a tangeable touchable example of his love and faithfullness through my husband and our church family too.Thank you Mr Peterson for writing this song and your obedience to God in your tallents he has blessed you with! Ok im dont sorry for so many posts!
Should be played at every Christian wedding. At times their are the storms and yes a landmine or two over the years.... Only 18 years married so far.... God willing and our commitment stays true many more years to go... J
Every time i listen i cry and think of my true love that is a year older than me. He and i will have to go through the same things as the song tells of. And oh, i cannot wait to start, with him. Thank God for love and for the beauty in beholds in all things.
This song shows that love is not about material things. Its about unconditional love and both commiting yourselves to living for God, and loving eachother. I love this song. I hope I find a love like this one day.
This song pretty much sums up my relationship with my bride to be. We can't thank God enough for bringing us through our minefields and we will hold firm on to him and each other through the ones to come. This song reminds me how precious a gift my soon to be bride is. I hope you read this Hannah Joy because I want you to know and see how deeply I love you! 5 years of blessings so far and 80 years of blessings to go:)
This song is filled with truth.....I have been married 25 years and passed though many storms...And though faith God drifted us too clamer shores......May God shine a beautiful light on your path. Sheryl
I have fallen in love with this song. Heard it first on the radio in the Seattle area and have honestly thanked God for your inspiration to write this song. I married at 20, wife at 19, and have never looked back. We have sailed the storms and have walked with Him in the shadow lands... Keep the fire burning for our Lord, Andrew... your gift of song is appreciated.
What makes this video special for me was when me and my wife got married, I was 21 and she was 19. This coming year we will be having our 15th anniversary. God has been so good to us all these years. Sure there have been some hard times, but we have came through them stronger. The bible say that he will never leave us, but that he would be there till the end.
My husband and I were 19 and 23 when we got engaged, and found our rings in pawn shops. I love this song and when we heard it we decided it would be what we would dance to for our wedding. Thank you sir Peterson for this lovely love song my husband and I still sing to each other 3 years in
I’m 16 (almost 17), never had a relationship ever, and now I’m crying. I remember this song from a long time ago, and my dad played it in the car on his CD all the time.
My parents have been dancing in the mine fields for 50 yrs, and now they are in the shadowlands as my dad has cancer and alzheimers.....the line 'remind me when I forget my name, remind me' is so very poignant....this song is wonderful reminder that the shadows will disappear....not only our promises to each other carry us but the promises of God to restore all things new. Beautiful song!!!
What a beautifully, perfectly written song about love, real love--the kind of which 1 Cor. 13 speaks, and the kind to which we are called by God. Andrew Peterson, you are a tremendous asset to the throne of Christ.
Lyrics Well, I was nineteen, you were twenty-one The year we got engaged And everyone said we were much too young But we did it anyway We got the rings for forty each From a pawn shop down the road We said our vows and took the leap Now fifteen years ago And we went dancing in the minefields We went sailing in the storms And it was harder than we dreamed But I believe that's what the promise is for "I do" are the two most famous last words The beginning of the end But to lose your life for another, I've heard Is a good place to begin 'Cause the only way to find your life Is to lay your own life down And I believe it's an easy price For the life that we have found And we're dancing in the minefields We're sailing in the storms This is harder than we dreamed But I believe that's what the promise is for That's what the promise is for So when I loose my way, find me When I loose love's chains, bind me At the end of all my faith, till the end of all my days When I forget my name, remind me 'Cause we bear the light of the Son of Man So there's nothing left to fear So I'll walk with you in the shadowlands Till the shadows disappear 'Cause he promised not to leave us And his promises are true So in the face of all this chaos Baby, I can dance with you So let's go dancing in the minefields Let's go sailing in the storms Oh, let's go dancing in the minefields And kicking down the doors Oh, let's go dancing in the minefields And sailing in the storms Oh, this is harder than we dreamed But I believe that's what the promise is for That's what the promise is for
I just wanted to say that my husband and I are both Pagans. But today we found this song and we both absolutley love it! It's a beautiful song of love and commitment. Exactly what a marriage should be about.
I'm 18 years young, when I listen to this song I think of my boyfriend of 4 years. We're both so young with so much ahead of us, but I want this to be us. Only God knows what I have ahead of me.
My husband and I were married at 19 and 20 (I am 7 months older) I was 8weeks pregnant with our oldest sone, we now have three awesome kiddos who are 5 1/2, 4 and three they are 19months and 15 months apart. We have struggled from the get go, with our relationship, faithfulness to God and eachother. Our oldest and yougest both boys) have some varrying degrees of special needs. Its stressful and its amazing all at once.
We were blessed with Andrew and his friends entertaining and sharing some of his life experiences, humor, and love of God and his family with us some years ago at Southside Church in Ft. Pierce. Andrew's family and loved ones can be very proud of him. You could see the love in him when he spoke about God and family. Thank you Andrew for sharing your love and talent!
This is a great song about God's promise for His Kingdom Marriage...i was doubting just now if He really does give me this...but God answers back with this song❤ I am sorry Lord Jesus if I kept doubting and now I believe you clearly and I would try my best to follow you😌
I want to Be able to Dance to this Song at my wedding, Such a great song and true to what God does Promise us, someone we can take hold of and keep us up when we are down.
I am 19 and my fiance is 23, we met through our church and are getting married in five weeks. I feel so involved with this song, its so beautiful and i plan on using it in our wedding. Thank you for writing such beautiful and inspiring lyrics.
beautiful song.. praise the lord... i know everyone who is listenen to this song gets goosebumps cuz his love is all inside us and listening to this kind of stuff just brings it out in us .. amazing
Love this song! After 33 years of marriage I can say that's exactly how we did it. If it wasn't for being real and holding on to Jesus we would have never made it this far! Thank you for your story telling songs, I love the way you tell stories of the heart.
I saw you when I was only 7 and I was in love with this song and I saw you and I was in the first seats now I am 13 and I am still in love with this song and the way way I found this song again was I found in in the depths of my old ds and I love you I hope you live a great life, god bless
After a year of marriage I began to believe that I had married the wrong girl; that I was actually in love with another girl from my past, and that I was trapped in a marriage with feelings that would never change. I let my thoughts run away with me, and before I knew it my wife had left suddenly and flown across the country to be away from me. God disciplined and healed me, brought her back, and we're now 2 years in. "That's what the promise is for"!!!!
Fav song for years- will dance 40 years in May- thanks for the song that’s going to explain it to our five children- who think intermittently, we love each other we hate each other. We all to get a divorce were crazy. They love each other. Hopefully your song will explain it all
My fiancé and I were 19 and 20 when I proposed. I am certain this song is going to be played at our wedding this August 2014. We have been together for 6 years and this song is a perfect resemblance of our relationship.
Love this song! Makes me think of my parents marriage. They played this song a lot, kinda like a defining song for me. I want my future husband to love me like this.
I'm still in high school, but have not yet dated. I want to make it to this kind of fulfilling relationship instead of waisting my heart on vain pursuits.
I'm in high school as well and gave my heart away to someone way too soon. I was entirely devoted, but I shouldn't have fell for someone at such a young age--and I'm still facing the repercussions. So wait patiently, because it'll be worth it. Proverbs 4:23 makes things abundantly clear for us. I'll be sending prayers your way, friend. God bless ~

I'm was 19 and my husband 21 when we got married 2 years ago. And we just went through a rough patch but God is great and is getting us through it!
18 years and we just had a rough patch ourselves. It's each of us trying to do 100% as much as we can emotionally and physically. J

We never officially got married but we have that forever bond. Things are sometimes hard but we both think it's worth fighting to stay together cause the love is there. True love is so rare to find now days. I feel like God has blessed me so much giving me such a wonderful man to share my life with.
I'm 14 and christian this song reminds me how marriage is such a blessing
+Grant Frentz Congratulations, wish you more years together ,God bless :)
Congratulations on 39 years! Will be 18 for us in September....
My dad was 53 and my mom was 35 when they married back in 1966.
I wish I could 'SuperLove' your comment.
It is a wonderful story, congratulations.
Listening to this on my 22nd anniversary while sick in bed. Very rough marriage until my husband surrendered his life to Jesus three years ago.
On June 4th 2011 I married my best friend and this was our first dance song. We are 19 years old and love nothing and no one more than Christ. What a beautiful song.
Rick and I have done this dance for 28 years; we are so very blessed the Lord brought us together :) Thank you for this lovely song.
Older than 21 and 19, but we took our leap 15 years ago today.
And we are still dancing. ❤
Make it 16 years now. 🥰
I was 21, my bride was 19, 25 years ago today when we said those words. So thankful, after accepting Christ, the best decision I have ever made.
Beautiful. There is not greater gift than Love. It is the greatest gift of all.
Asking for prayer as my wife is on the brink of leaving me. We married young as well but I don't believe God makes mistakes.
Elias Chaves my prayers with you do not give up on praying ,praise Jesus when you do not understand , marriage is honorable and God will fight for you , Love alone is worth the fight . Keep seeking the Lord with all your heart you will find Him
Liv H Thank you Liv!!
How are things going, friend?
Nice sharing :D God bless your family, Jane Doe. May both of you loving each other until the rest of your life.
THANK YOU!!
This song will be a great song to dance along to
I love this song and i love Jesus because of all He has done for us all. XXX
We're going on our 49th this year. No regrets. Couldn't have done it without God.
Yo
when i heard this all i could think about was the man in my life and the God i long for us to serve and i cant wait untill we say our vows
You is Beyonce! 😀
Absolutely beautiful! Tears in my eyes....Thank you Andrew! God bless your amazing ministries.
Great song & I enjoy listing to song & it has been a very long time that I have listing to this song & thanks for sharing this video & God bless :)
Im 19 and not married yet. But i pray to God everyday to send me that one amazing man with who im gonna dance in the minefields with.
Every time me and my wife go through hard times I think of this song! I love her so much and will gladly dance in the minefields with her!
What a beautifully, perfectly written song about love, real love--the kind of which 1 Cor. 13 speaks, and the kind to which we are called by God. Andrew Peterson, you are a tremendous asset to the throne of Christ.
Lyrics
Well, I was nineteen, you were twenty-one
The year we got engaged
And everyone said we were much too young
But we did it anyway
We got the rings for forty each
From a pawn shop down the road
We said our vows and took the leap
Now fifteen years ago
And we went dancing in the minefields
We went sailing in the storms
And it was harder than we dreamed
But I believe that's what the promise is for
"I do" are the two most famous last words
The beginning of the end
But to lose your life for another, I've heard
Is a good place to begin
'Cause the only way to find your life
Is to lay your own life down
And I believe it's an easy price
For the life that we have found
And we're dancing in the minefields
We're sailing in the storms
This is harder than we dreamed
But I believe that's what the promise is for
That's what the promise is for
So when I loose my way, find me
When I loose love's chains, bind me
At the end of all my faith, till the end of all my days
When I forget my name, remind me
'Cause we bear the light of the Son of Man
So there's nothing left to fear
So I'll walk with you in the shadowlands
Till the shadows disappear
'Cause he promised not to leave us
And his promises are true
So in the face of all this chaos
Baby, I can dance with you
So let's go dancing in the minefields
Let's go sailing in the storms
Oh, let's go dancing in the minefields
And kicking down the doors
Oh, let's go dancing in the minefields
And sailing in the storms
Oh, this is harder than we dreamed
But I believe that's what the promise is for
That's what the promise is for
Many thanks!
I just wanted to say that my husband and I are both Pagans. But today we found this song and we both absolutley love it! It's a beautiful song of love and commitment. Exactly what a marriage should be about.
Jesus loves you both! I pray that over these years since this comment you have found that out for yourself ♥️
Kimmy at 20 and me just five days shy of 21. God blessed us this past August 7 with our celebration of 36 years together. She is my greatest blessing.
The truest of love songs...♥️🕊 Thank you for sharing the beautiful gift God has given you!♥️
I'm 18 years young, when I listen to this song I think of my boyfriend of 4 years. We're both so young with so much ahead of us, but I want this to be us.
Only God knows what I have ahead of me.
This song makes me look forward to finding the companion God has created for me so we can grow old together and look back...
This is a great song about God's promise for His Kingdom Marriage...i was doubting just now if He really does give me this...but God answers back with this song❤ I am sorry Lord Jesus if I kept doubting and now I believe you clearly and I would try my best to follow you😌
Wow. Thank you for a song that redeems marriage from the disappointed rhetoric of our age.
I want to Be able to Dance to this Song at my wedding, Such a great song and true to what God does Promise us, someone we can take hold of and keep us up when we are down.
December 2020... a decade later I’m back, and this song means so much more. Now married with kids... it hits me different.
I am 19 and my fiance is 23, we met through our church and are getting married in five weeks. I feel so involved with this song, its so beautiful and i plan on using it in our wedding. Thank you for writing such beautiful and inspiring lyrics.
I'm not a huge fan of Christian music but this is AMAZING. I heard it on my work and it brightened my day incredibly.
This song has kept me focused on my commitments. Thank you Andrew.
beautiful song.. praise the lord... i know everyone who is listenen to this song gets goosebumps cuz his love is all inside us and listening to this kind of stuff just brings it out in us .. amazing
I've bought most of his songs... love the reality of his songs... and his love for the Lord...
I am just discovering him today, but you are right, these songs are anointed because he truly loves the Lord. The Lord Jesus is coming!
Best song ever! It has true meaning of what love is. And thats what I LOVE about it!
Love this song! After 33 years of marriage I can say that's exactly how we did it. If it wasn't for being real and holding on to Jesus we would have never made it this far! Thank you for your story telling songs, I love the way you tell stories of the heart.
I usually cry when I hear this song, but if I'm not crying, I have intense goose bumps. Absolutely LOVE this song.
Songwriting at its best Mr. Peterson! God Bless you and the ministry God has entrusted you!
This song is so real. Love is hard. You just have to fight so you don't lose it.
*happy tears*
I love Andrew Peterson's work so much.
How's everything going now?
How I love this song. It is just so genuine, sweet and true. God bless you.
Love this song! Makes me think of my parents marriage. They played this song a lot, kinda like a defining song for me. I want my future husband to love me like this.
Same bro my dad had this on his CD in the car
I’d love a future wife who loves like this
I'm still in high school, but have not yet dated. I want to make it to this kind of fulfilling relationship instead of waisting my heart on vain pursuits.
How smart and rare you are in today's youth culture! Stay strong and focused on Christ Jesus! God bless you!
Well said
Stop Fox Entertainment hope you are still waiting for the right person. Pray about it daily. Your spouse will be worth the wait.
God bless ~
Archynan so true
My future sister-in-law just informed me that this is going to be her and my brother's first dance song. This song is so beautiful and it makes me so happy to know they picked it!
Love this song! Powerful lyrics! I want my first marriage to be my only marriage :)
Oh I just heard of Andrew Peterson and this song for the first time. I am in tears!
