Man-O-Man what a car. So much fun to hear the story behind the build of this model. Can't wait to see witch one you share with us next Sunday. See you Tuesday 😃
GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
Hi. Yup many more coming soon. But first a funeral. For a very good cat. Blessings back.
Awesome models. Don’t know how you find these events but glad you do. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Ken. This one grew up in my yard. Literally. So it found me! But time marches on. But what a ride.
Yet another awesome car 😱 The time and dedication to the CRAFT is just astounding.
Super Cool! Definitely a great show and build of this fabulous looking car.
Thank you sir and ma'am!
Boy nostalgia central this AM. Beings back memories of of glue, paint screen porches and wind in the willows.😂😊
I don’t build these anymore, but I still have a big love for plastic model kits. I use to build them as a kid, and enter them in the local fair. 👍 awesome video thanks for sharing 😎
I was more and still am into modeling though my interest is in military modeling or dioramas. Everytime I see a T-55 Soviet tank model and an M-48 Patton tank model I think how it would create a fascinating view of a standoff at Checkpoint Charlie in the American sector of Berlin during the 1960s.
Modeling is fun. Subjects are pretty darn subjective. But it’s really fun to just do it!
Another outstanding model is all I can say!
Back in the day you were the top dog if you had that limited edition model in your collection.
Nice Job .those where the days
cool car
I built the 60’s era Big T with one of the optional sets adding the 6 carburetors to it I really wish I still had the model as finding the hop up parts are nearly impossible
I was wondering how the drivetrain was going to work for 2 engines, in photos of the second real car you could see the dual differentials in the back. So it would have to have dual transmissions and dual driveshafts. To answer the question about what happens if one of the engines isn't running you would need automatic transmissions some of which can coast if the engine isn't powering them. With manual transmissions you would need dual clutches and you would need a mechanism to synchronize the clutches as well as a mechanism to synchronize the gear shifting between 2 transmissions. In photos of the model it appears to have a tall gear shift lever which wouldn't be all that necessary with automatic transmissions.
As it was a show car, it was only intended to look like both engines worked. The reality is only one engine ran, and the other was just an empty block.
Would it not be possible to have a new person sponsor this show and continue the marvelous tradition. (Hint, Hint). Just kidding.
Really The only hold back is finding someone who can organize the show. It would be very sad to see this go away. Change nothing, rule, category, etc. wise. Maybe one of the contestants could step up.
Craftsmanship of this level should be given a platform so that the modelers have a reason and place to display their ability, and thereby motivate new folks to try their hand, just like with model trains. Could you imagine having no more model train show contests?
Hi. I think NNL will fill the void to some extent. The NNL guys are talking about an NNLGSL. Well I hope not and I know Mark is against it. The GSL was great and was a thing that happened for like 40 years. If NNL wants to fill the void they need to get their heads together and designate one of the NNL what’s competitions to be their flagship, and then mix that out a world class contest.
I greatly enjoyed assembling Ed Roth models as a preteen. So much fun loved it.
Us too. Or should that be we as well. NO MATTER. Thing is those were fun times building models. And stuff like that.
