Thanks! Good luck with the tire!
Your the second person that's pointed out the wobbly steering. That doesn't inspire confidence when one is going fast. It's already on tiny wheels which reduce stability. I hope they iron out these things in the next few years. And hydraulic breaks should be standard at those speeds.
The brake noise could be that little metal clip that's supposed to open the brakes once you let go of the handle... You can take it out and widen it a little.. could stop the grind
Wow so cool i feel like getting one myself but Singapore banned e-scooter dam it
Can't wait for the video upgrading the tires. I really want this scooter.
Yeah, did the tire fit, would help make my buying decision. Thanks! EDIT: saw your comment below ('worked'), and look forward to video and results.
Hi Yes, it fit. Kind of a pain to do. The spider has been replaced with the EAGLE that has bigger tires and 2 piece motors that make tire changes a snap.
Nice rundown of the scooter - look forward to seeing it again with the wider tyres attached. This seems to be an issue for everyone who reviews the Spider. Hopefully Minimotors will do the right thing and produce with bigger tyres in the future?
Is it possible to install a lock in order to keep away thiefs? The seat would be albo good to have. I was looking for a seat but it semestr difficult to order.
Now that’s badass!
Great video! Thank you!
that little cable there underneath the board, with which one can UNLEASH THE BEAST, does anyone know of a radio controlled switch for that to control that speeds-limiter with an app or something?
hi more power to your channel, what a detailed review and thanks for it. just wanted to ask if you prefer this over inokim oxo? it has similar topspeed but this is just lighter than the inokim oxo. thanks
May I know where you get the red stand ? It’s awesome tool for repair the dủaltron ! Thank you and have a great works on your video ! Cheers
Great video! How long is the Carbonrevo? I have to buy it too because I'm 190cm tall and the standard one is very low. Thank you
I got the CarbonRevo Dualtron Stem Adapter V3 50mm. Anything taller you might have to do some brake cable magic to extend it. The handle bars are 640mm from Amazon amzn.to/2QzASjD
So awesome there is someone with Dualtron like me. I have the Thunder one time we should explore Chicago. I live in Wisconsin if ever want to meet up let me know.
i have the dualtron 3, count me in too ! i was visiting some body at the waldorf astoria, and i buzzed into town from south shore community , way south on the lake front shore, but buzzed into downtown, near drake hotel and flew around downtown in the streets, and worked my way up to red lights and flew off the line.. scooter downtown was the way to go !!!
Hi. Do you get trouble from cops? Or do they leave you alone as long as you wear a helment and ride at reasonable speeds?
Great review! I wonder if you could hit a higher top speed by tinkering more with the settings? 🤷🏽♂️
Possibly, there is a bunch of settings. But honestly man anything over 30 mph is dancing with the devil on this thing. The tires are so small.
@MidLifeToys
How did you liked the wider tires??? Now it's 2023 4 years later.
Great video. Thank you. 😊
Hi my dualtron eagle is now making that noise from the rear rotor like you mentioned here. How did you fix it?
Well is it the brake noise? or a motor noise? You need to adjust the brake by loosening to 2 caliper screw's and positioning it so it doest rub on the rotor. Unless your rotor is bent then you need to straighten it.
Just so expensive. Is it possible to buy a kit to upgrade the wide wheel what do you think the top speed of the unlocked wide wheel upgrade you did
What type/ brand of stand is that? The red one that you have the Dualtron Spider on. Transmission stand??? Where can I purchase one at? Thanks
its a motorcycle stand on amazon look through comments there is a link somewhere
How does it compare to your old trail ripper suspension and ride?!
The Trail ripper was a bit more aggressive as it had offroad tires. But this is the same ride for sure.
I notice you said your next scooter is going to be a thunder, but looks like you got the Wolf Warrior 11+ instead. Basically same specs as Thunder. So now that you have both you is this still your favorite all around? At 44lbs is way lighter than anything in its competition. Hows the suspension compared to the WW11?
The spider has a great suspension. Although I wouldn't recommend the Spider as the Eagle is now out. It is more reliable. I have never ridden a thunder but the Wolf Warrior II is by far the best scooter I have ever rode. I love it, the suspension is better than the Thunder in my opinion.
@@MidLifeToys yes the Wolf is a beast and was worried about the build quality at first, but as good as Dualtron or better for trails and off-road compared to the more expensive Thunder. Ended up picking up a used Spider Limited and its fun for what it is.
@@MidLifeToys Hi. Great review & shop You have.
💯.Interesting video.
What's the unreliable factor?….. How steep of hill climbing have you tried & how long? Thank you.
do u know if these scooters have handlebar pole height adjustable? Can it be lowered?
It can be raised lowering is going to be hard. Check out the Dualtron Eagle
nice review ! good work on all aspects. ! i bought the dt3 love it too... if your in chicago, we should hook up and ride !! i have been cruzing the lake front trail .. so fun
Thanks and for sure! shoot me an email through here. I'm getting some new scoots soon would be fun to test them on the lakefront and get other riders opinions.
@@MidLifeToys so I am getting a steering Creek in the stem. I have grease alot of area. Where did u grease to get ur Creek to go away !!
@@phamster18 I think used WD40, I cant recall. but all up in the hinge and where the ring goes. Spray the heck out of it and it eventually stops :}
Hi, can you advise on how to adjust the rear suspension arm. the below is from the manual and it says it can be done but not how...Minimotors have not been helpful either - once you buy from them, you're own your own!
Adjustable Suspension Arm Angle (Rear)
The height of the suspension can be adjusted to:
• Level 1 (LOW) Urban roads
• Level 2 (MID) Default
• Level 3 (HIGH) Off road conditions
thought i saw in a video they are referring to shock angle mount (forget what model though), if so, then I assume there are alternate holes (one higher, one lower) to mount the either the bottom or top of the rear suspension.
can anyone answer what itsbthe fastest production e-scooter in Australia?
I see you never made a follow up video regarding the new wheel size. Did it not end up working out?
@@MidLifeToys Thanks for the quick reply. Would you mind telling me your build? Im 6 foot 225 and I see the Spider is barely rated for me, but looks like it handles much more weight than they claim. I was looking at the NanRobot D4+ upgraded version but some people kept pointing me towards this one
What’s the deal with that scooter work station set up you have looks like it goes up and down and clamps onto the deck so the scooter doesn’t move around. Did you buy it or did you make it, hope you bought it somewhere so I can get one
If you could list the components it’s comprised of or just how you came to acquire in the first place I’d really appreciate it thank you
How much do you weigh? Asking so i can compare top speed, i weigh about 220 lbs.
This is a nice scooter but I can’t justify spending almost $3k on a scooter, maybe it’s because I’m poor but it would be dope to have
But the thunder is more the doble of heavy but if you want i trade you your spider for my ultra is basically keep brand new
I already try upgraded wheel of Spider.
My spider= Safety × 100
The tire pressure is rated low because the air inside gets heated up by the motors and expands. Hope you'll get no flats on that 5 psi.
it only charge to 66.1% ?!? that low?
You still happy with this or if you could do it again, would you get an eagle?
@@MidLifeToys I ended up getting a used spider limited to play around on. I'm happy with the range and the 800 watt motors are good enough and won't eat through the battery as fast as the Eagle. I also love the weight advantage, but going forward for folks the eagle is the way unless weight is a major issue.
You guys
Wish they made a slower, lighter version
it's not water resistant though
There's definitely an early adopter tax being paid for these devices. Consider comparable transport devices. Gas powered standing or sitting scooters.
Thicker tires...hydraulic brakes...seems like you should’ve gone with the Dualtron Thunder!
I like all my wheels to be no pop wheels
They have the dualtron x for $6k. Yes, SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS. Are they effen high?
lol Dualtron is expensive but they are a very nice scooter. The X is a bit big and almost more like a motorcycle.
This is the scooter I would buy, if I have enough money to burn.
They sell some pretty expensive toys
6:20 my ultra stop from 25kph just fine.i not ride 80kph(illegal) even it goes.power is there for hills.if not have license you not know traffic signs? right? you cant ride 80kph on road?not stop for red light becouse they are for cars right?look at youtube videos is that legal in your mind. even there is no written laws for scooter. no need brains. how fast and where you need ride
Hi this or rev
MidLife Toys I’m probably gonna stick with the rev for now until I have more money to spend
MidLife Toys if it breaks or something happens where do you get the parts and who to contact I know mini motors is in CA so do I’m
@@hayypapi4281 Thats the first place I would start for parts. ewheels has some also.
$2.5k for 3000w is well overpriced in 2019
E Scooter Life can you recommend an alternative with similar specs?
Nice review, just got my first E. Scooter the city rider and I love it, would’ve like to had gotten the spider the one you just reviewed, but I couldn’t afford it, but am happy with it,
I think the spider would be the one for me I think it’s just fast enough for what I’d need it for, and got pretty good range,
Really liked ur review on it, Thanks
Thanks!
