I feel that most people want to drag you down to their negative, unhealthy level rather than let you inspire them to become more healthy and more happy.

My sis is the only one that know I quit. She was just surprised like ... I didn't know you were quitting completely. I thought you were just taking a break... because she had offered me some vodka. I said oh no,no! Alcohol!Than she threw a slur saying. Well I'm going to have a drink at least. After a hard day of work. I just looked at her like so what. That's just her, I'm not for it . She know she will be more bored now. So she keep making ignorant remarks. Like how good drinking make her feel.
Trying to reel me but she don't know. I'm not even paying attention lol. She act like I haven't been there lol. I have been drinking for eleven years

The worst thing you can do is brag about having quit Alcohol to others who still drink. But don't be ashamed about it and don't let people downgrade you. They're the real losers. (N they know it deep down)Now,encourage people who want to quit by giving your testimony.

That my friend, as old as that video is and you'll probably not even read this, was exactly what I needed to hear..i just dropped the news to my closest friend via text today about not drinking anymore and he didn't respond to it but responded to another topic we were discussing..it was a bit expected but upsetting too for me..I wanted him to say " good for you" or something of that nature but im guessing he's a bit unnerved by it..we may get together in the next few days and I'm sure it'll be hashed out but I'm nervous to be honest, I'd hate to see a bad result at the end of it😔 your talk helped, thx!

When you stop drinking, you don't serve the same purpose to the party crowd. They don't know how to handle the change that they see in you. Deep down, they know that they can not stop, and it stirs them up emotionally. The easy route for them is to behave as if you're the problem or too good for them.

Thank you for another wise, informative video. When I stopped drinking I didn't realize the "ripple" effects it would have in my family. After a few months I think I'm beginning to resent a little others I live with who drink consistently
It's ju1st not part of my life anymore and creates a bit of a divide in our relationship.

I remember feeling like my party wasnt complete if a non drinker was there...or like they take a bit of "fun" away from my delusion of fun. Haaa. So weird. Like it was a chapparone hanging around....or jesus watching us and smiling in all his glory. 😂 so dumb...I'm now that person who is hanging out with the boozers feeling good and actually having real fun that continues thru the next morning . !

Nobody told me to stop, though there were some concerns raised by my couple, but on new years day, I said this ends here, I was fed up of the hangovers etc. 3 weeks now. reading books, watching youtube videos, podcasts... I think I am regaining control of my life. So happy I did take the step.

    • @jhart1127

You don't have the will power to just drink once in a while so quit. Sorry that probably hurts but I've been there 🤷‍♀️ if not drinking and numbing yourself concerns you that much you have a problem. And I disagree with the "8 beers isn't a lot". Maybe for someone who drinks a tonne.

    • @BasilVII

Yeah i was like u. Altho i drank 6 beers when i chose to drink. Even if u don't drink everyday it's still extremely bad for ur health. So i quit. Best decision.
