This "our way or the highway" series issue with tracks has been going on for years. When I asked the OWNER of a well-known track that has hosted one WoO show each spring a few YEARS ago and asked why he didn't have a Lucas late model show, he said he'd lose his WoO date if he hosted Lucas. He further said the politics of the various series are bad.

With Sweet gone, I can't see the top Outlaw guys leaving. Getting that WoO championship is prestigious. High Limit not so much. Not yet, anyway.

Forcing tracks to choose is going to negatively affect EVERYONE. There are plenty of tracks and weekends that they can both run the same tracks. They need to get over themselves. Mostly I think it's WRG who can't share the sandbox

I drive 500+miles from Maine to watch sprint cars at Port Royal. This year, I was going to stay home because of the costs of hotels and gas. When I saw that the Tuscarora 50 rainout date was the day before the Nittany Showdown with the Outlaws, I decided to go. With three straight nights of racing and a Sunday rain date,I wasn't too concerned with a rain out. Port and Lincoln are my two favorite tracks in PA.. You can sit on the bottom row and still see the whole track, unlike at the Grove, where I haven't gone back in the last ten years. The competition from the All Stars was never as tough as the Outlaws, and that won't change with only Brad running full time!

Didn’t I see the same thing back in 1989 with USA? I woulda’ve never went to East Alabama motor speedway or Oglethorpe raceway park without the USA series attending those venues. By the way the inaugural USA event at the Memphis motorsports park was something else. All kinda cars at a beautiful venue. I don’t have a dog in the fight. I’ll attend WoO HL and Maverick series races next year. I don’t have a preference.

I watched this movie once already. in 1989. USA took Steve Kinser, Mark Kinser, and Sammy Swindell. Doug Wolfgang split time between them and took the cash.
    USA lasted one year.
The difference? USA was a ground up new series, with nothing to build on but 3 drivers. High Limit is the ASCoC at it's base... and has the backing of streaming service FloRacing. In contrast, in 1989, internet wasn't even really a thing yet that most of the country even knew about.
For the record... USA pulled larger crowds than WoO did that season at tracks I attended where both series had dates.

Probably broke after you posted this but glad to hear WoO at Kennedale Speedway Park in Fort Worth. Big O Speedway just south of Dallas is sure to be a cluster. They are known to last until 3am on a 50 car night. If you head to Big O, be sure to eat before you get there... you will see why once you get there. But I'll be at both with food and drinks in the car because Kennedale is not known for their speedy concession line... singular.

While I understand that all the regional tracks are competitors in a sense, I also feel like they would be better off coming together and agreeing on certain expectations that promote and protect their own interests. Right now it's every track for themselves and that atomized nature puts them all in a deleveraged position when, e.g., WoO or whoever comes in and tells them they have to do this or that. If they worked as one body on some of these things, they would have much more leverage and wouldn't get pushed around as much.

WRG sucks and I’ll never change that feeling, but, that being said, 2024 is going to be special and I honestly hope that after this upcoming year they can work together because we on to something right now, 410 sprint car racing could get bigger and better than ever.

I do find it interesting that WRG has two very different sets of rules and expectations for teams signed on with their two big series. But, no one around here goes to the Devils Bowl so being at a different track in the DFW area will be like a mad house. The Devils Bowl was sold and is closed after 2023 season so they will never race there again. They have also been to a track about 4 hours south of the metroplex but it's not worth the drive to watch dust. With that said, I used to go to 125+ races a year and in recent years we have traveled several times 10-12+ hours to tracks such as I-55, Eagle and Knoxville... but we didn't care to make the 40 minute drive across town to Devils Bowl or 4 hour drive south. I purchased advanced tickets for the original $100k show in October just to be disappointed by it's mysterious postponement and reformat. Now it's being cancelled because of "cold temps." (79/62 for Friday, 78/66 for Saturday) and "rain chances" (39% for Saturday). I don't know if the track is responsible for this or the sanctioning body but it seems that someone really didn't want to have this race and now I'm stuck with an AirBnB that I can't cancel without losing my money and I won't be near enough to any other race track to get to see any racing. "How would you respond?" I'd respond by saying making tracks choose a side is complete bullshit. Not only are you not helping yourself as an owner of one of these series, you aren't helping the track, the fans, or the drivers who may love the track (a ton of them love port just as an example). I understand the all-stars weren't a threat to the Outlaws, but by choosing to not run a track because they're running another series, you're just alienating that fanbase, making them less likely to seek out shows at the other PA tracks. This is exactly why this needed to happen. WRG are the ones playing hardball, they always are, it's why most people are going to root for HL to succeed, not just because it would be good for the sport, but WRG won't be able to play bully if they become any kind of real threat in a few years. It needs to happen. Fuck em.

This is a fight between FLO and Dirtvision and nothing more... However, the local tracks are going to need to pick and chose... Unfortunately, the local drivers will end up losing in the end... For example, the World of Outlaws had 6 races at the Grove, and 4 shows for the All Stars... Now, no shows for High limits at the Grove, and only 6 for the WoO... Same for Port Royal... The locals are going to end up losing because of less national tours coming... Unless there will be a back to back show at the Grove of Outlaws and the next week Port Royal for High Limits.. Yes Larson is the best driver across the land right now but, being from Ohio, I don't like the direction High Limit is going. I don't see why Port can't run both series???

you're in the area, go make your money. lernerville not being on the sprint car schedule for the outlaws is literally because they went to lucas. that place was always packed for the outlaws. just go make your money and move on.

World outlaws are constantly trying to flex their muscles on promoters and threaten the with dates. HL absolutely has not done this.

At Port Royal the WoO don't put on a very good show anyway, they like the track slower and slicker compared to the All Stars.

Selinsgrove will not be slower and slicker than Port Royal

Insane your gonna claim to be the best series in the world but not race at one of the top 5 tracks in the world!!!! Bc the other series has dates
