Your 1st idea about deciding on the type journal you like was priceless. I use an A6 120 gsm Pentalic grid notebook. I really love it but i almost let the planning UA-camrs talk me out of it. I am working on my 3rd journal and very satisfied. If anyone is still improving their lettering skills, I suggest months and days washi tape. Digital stickers are great. I've resized your functional stickers to my A6. It really helps with my spreads. 🎉
Hello dear Kayla, thank you for your new sticker bundles. I couldn't help myself and ordered the lavender honey monthly kit immediately. One of my most important tools is my tweezers and my scissors. Best wishes, Melly ✨
Your videos are so cozy ❤ I also love your excitement and enthusiasm for everything journalling ❤also, if you know you know, Luna’s little head on the shelf and then later her little belly 😂❤
Awww Cassie thank you -- such a compliment to know my videos give a cozy feeling. And I knew you would spot Luna!! It's like a little game at this point trying to find her XD
@@planningwithkay instead of where’s Waldo it’s where’s Luna lol and I knew you wouldn’t deprive us of at least a glimpse of her 😂 100% on the cozy vibes! Also I need to know how many times Luna has knocked your notebooks off the shelf 😂 my cats would totally do it just to spite me lol
I found stamps that have the alphabet & Mon, Tues, Wed, etc. I'm happy to have the option, not having used functional stamps much before. Idk why exactly, more of a sticker gal I guess 😊 eta, I also carry a small tape runner and just found the perfect set of travel scissors that look like a pen, for the little kit I take to work with me.
Yesss! Weekly header stamps are awesome to have on hand just in case (but I totally relate to you being more of a sticker gal myself!). Ohh I need to re-purchase a tape runner - I ran out ages ago and miss having it on hand!
I agree with cookama Zebra Mildliners are great. I also use highlighters ;) Thanks Kay for this video, it was great and I think very useful for beginners. I also use the 2 lines pens and they last forever too, but are hard to find. Ninipies are good too. I also use Distress Oxide and stencils in mine ;)
Also: a pencil (for planning), a small clear ruler, sticky notes for planning, scissors (if you’re adventurous LOL), & some kind of color pens - like dual tip markers (Zebra Midliners

This makes me so happy to hear
Zebra Mildliners are a good investment. They last FOREVER and have two ends so plenty of options for lines! Great for color coders!
I have way too many, if such a thing is possible. They do last forever!
I love Mildliners, but have never had a good collection of colors I like! I need to invest in some soon :)
@@planningwithkay they released a “fall” colour way, and I wanted it so bad. But it was never released in AUS 😓

OMG yes!! It was hard for me to not put tweezers and scissors on this list - totally agree with you that those are must-have tools
I always use at least one accent color, a highlighter or a marker.
Yes!! I love crayola supertips as a staple colorful marker :) Whats your favorite highlighter or marker?

I just LOVE the look of distress oxide and stencils!!!! I may need to try that out in the future!
Hey Kayla, do you know which size of the Contact Crafts ‘American Typewriter’ stamps you have? Cheers :)
The ones I use and love most are the “large” size!! :)
