Freestyle I grew up on it. This song was one of my fav among many others. Freestyle for life! Born & raised in Brooklyn on this driving on 86th street. Memories !
I was there!! Navy blue 2 door cutlass,2-15” EV’s and a monster subwoofer in the back, windows down with a gorgeous girl next to me,cranking the Rios Sisters,India Corina,Cynthia,SaFire, and the Cover Girls,Bay Parkway to 18th Ave under the L and back around all night long!!!
I’m proud to have been part of the generation that enjoyed and lived for this music, growing up in NYC in the 80’s and 90’s. This was not just freestyle music, it was part of our New York Latin American culture as it helped define us as a people, the way we dressed, hairstyles, cars we drove, the house parties, clubbing, etc. It was our lifestyle. It still lives in us today and it continues to grow through all the music genres electro, regueton, house, dance music, it will never go away, long live freestyle
I was in Club Cielo in NYC recently early evening & they played this. The crowd that was there was FEELING this to the point that the song had a live chorus. This is TRULY a CLASSIC!
Waoo I never hear this song given the fact I grew up listing to freestyle in the 80s but boy oh boy I wish I had found this way back in the day this is truly gonna b on my top favorites of all time, this is definitely a real 💎!!!!
Basement parties in Williamsburg Brooklyn when this was new, it was one of the best true freestyle jams during that time. The Rios sisters were truly one of a kind!!
I remember this came out in 1987. I remember… I was 1 year old, and I remember laying in my crib and hearing my parents playing this in the living room
Reminds me of Club 10:18 I miss the late 80s Freestyle back then was in its prime era I loved it back then still love it now but sometimes I get nostalgic it reminds me of a time in my life when I was young and life was fun didn't have responsibilities or worries Sometimes I get sad because I wish I can go back to those days.
East New York on the set !!!! Freestyle music , brings me back to all the puppy love crushes , all girls rocking the denim mini skirts wit the LA gears. Dam I miss the 80's smh

I heard this song in an mp3 cd a friend burned for me 4 years ago. The song was untagged and for all these years I did not know who the artist was, until now. It's still labeled on my mp3 player as "Oh You, but what about me." Don't laugh at me. LOL. It's a GREAT track; so groovy and heart-breaking romantic.
