      Thanks for your comment and request Vaishali bhaip, wow your request is liked by quite a number. Because of Confidence? You are half right, but that's secondary actually, there is a primary root cause for calmness and composure before that confidence can kick in actually and it's very learnable just like a strategy, a knowledge that can be put into use immediately. You know what? After looking at this request, I actually did a research on the topic and noticed that. There isn't an insightful yet easy to digest video out there that can help you attain that. Hmm..should I do a video on this? If we have a high vote on this I'll do it, because I do not wish to put in so much time and effort just to benefit so few. Hey B Team let's see how many are interested in this topic. Hit thumbs up on this comment and say "Me!" If you guys want me to produce a video on how to attain that level of calmness and composure during play? Let's vote! 😝

    These things are very useful and a bit hard to master. Requires a lot of practice. I have played with players who are good at deceptions. The important thing to remember is to just be relaxed and not anticipate their shots. Only move when the shuttle is already hit. Plus proper positioning and always put in mind that the shuttle cock will always be back from the opponent so you are always ready. Its the weak returns that make way for deceptive shots that result from poor positioning.

    Oh yes, there's always ONE of THOSE at most clubs. I've been told by One of Those I should only position myself in certain parts of the court! My cross court drop shots are legendary - which really upsets them. I find 'Those' always try to smash-smash-smash-smash-smash-smash-smash-smash to win their games, (a losing strategy in my view!)

    Thx a lot for the information. It's another great video as usual.
    Do you need to add a bit slice to the cross net shot so that it doesn't go too far and out?
    Also, I hear some of the people speak FuJian (MinNan) dialect. I am from Fujian and MinNan dialet is my mother tongue.

    • @BadmintonB
      @BadmintonB  4 роки тому

      Haha thanks for the compliment William Xu. As for net crosses, slicing are used for 2 purposes. 1. You are right, it's for distance control, but it's not so much to prevent it from going out. But more to get it over near to the net on the opponent's side, keeping it a tight net shot. 2. It's when you are already fully stretched, or in other words far to reach. You can use slicing to alter the shuttle's flight direction. Oh Wow you are? My ancestors too William! Haha yes he spoke in MinNan dialect in the video. Lots of Singaporeans speaks this dialect here, we call this dialect Hokkien here.
