    I absolutely love this stuff!! It’s great, because you’re still not giving away how you do what you’re doing, procedurally, but we can still see… well, the magic happen. Haha!!
    More specifically, it’s not just these videos. I also simply like the fact that you’re changing it up a bit.

      Exactly what I was thinking. I am also pretty sure that with the 8 of spades to the 6 of clubs there was no tell at all. Maybe it is because I want to believe the magic but I clearly see the leaves of the clubs and not the 'heart' shape of spades there. 😅

    great stuff, man! even in slow motion there were some sleights i couldn’t see. it’s always good to self-appraise, and you doing it for your viewers takes balls, because who wants to admit when they mess up?! (even if it looks flawless to most everyone else) keep ‘em coming!

  • @adorf84
    @adorf84 Рік тому

    Honestly, this was awesome! I only found you a few days ago, but I've been watching tons of your shorts. The first one I saw got me hooked, at the end when you use your catch phrase "and that's worth a like and a share" I was already in the process of going to another video, but as it registered in my head I went to my history to open it again and did exactly that! Since then I've probably watched 5-10 a day and shared nearly all of them!
    When this popped up as a recommended video and I saw it was 15 minutes my heart jumped into my throat. When I saw it was a slow-mo video I nearly died. I've never attempted magic (sleight of hand) but it's always fascinated me and this was truly awesome. As others have said, you are very honest with your self assessment, almost to brutally to be honest. We're talking 120 frames per SECOND.... I'm an electrical engineer, and in NA, we use 60Hz(60 cycles per second) and when a fault occurs(short circuit) that last for more than 5-10 cycles(10-20 frames of your video) we classify it as a major upset. And that is electricity!!!! The instant turn on/off of a light, faster than a speeding bullet, so 6 frames (3 cycles) wouldn't even trip a circuit breaker. That's bad ass my man! Keep it up!!!! You're freaking awesome!

    Dude i love how you explain magic as it’s been such a taboo for so long but in my opinion if you explain the magic and then i still can’t figure out anything that is real magic right there! Also I feel like when I do get more understanding of how it’s done I just want to a watch more magic not less.

    It's no secret that the best artists are those most honest with, and highly critical of, themselves. It's the one true way to correct flaws and improve to levels only attained by the best. But what's truly rare is to see someone humbly do that in front of the entire world. With your honesty and attitude, nothing should hold you back. It'd be a trip to see you on Fool Us.

As has been said elsewhere in these comments, at slow mo speeds, yes, there are a couple of flashes but at normal speed - you're the slippery smooth butter king! I doubt anybody, even someone versed in the same sleights, would be able to spot them!

    Regardless, if we can see what you're doing in slo-mo, it is still mind boggling how agile your fingers are to do this stuff. I could practice for years and all I would ever learn how to do is pick up all of the cards off the floor because I have 10 thumbs! I can't even shuffle cards because of my lack of hand agility! I played at quarter speed coupled with your 120 frames per second and the speed at which you pull the Ace behind the six is still phenominal. I know how you do the trick, but it's still magic how quick your hands are!

    The interesting thing about these videos is that it shows you how slow our eyes are and how good you really are at normal speed. Even knowing exactly how a trick works, if you're watching closely at normal speed you're still highly unlikely to see the trick happen. The fact that we have to slow things down that much to catch it is a real testament to how hard you've worked on your craft.
