My brother had this song mastered growing up I constantly asked him to play it haha, such nostalgia hearing it again. You played it beautifully too the best rendition i've heard on here, make it look so easy, good job!
@@StuartClayton difficult song but you make it easy for us to play through your books. You're also a great bass player. Greetings from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬
This Amazing! I had this album on cassette in the 90s. You do an absolutely incredible job here. Sounds great - in fact its better than the noisy original cassette I had. Hearing all the nuances from your cover. Great job!
@@StuartClayton You're quite welcome, but considering the amount of content you put out and its quality, we should be thanking you! I've been studying bass my entire life and have studied with many pros from Patrick Pfeiffer to studying at Five towns College and your material has helped me accomplish goals I only ever dreamed of! Thank you Mr. Clayton!
Great stuff, stuart. I'm ordering a copy from amazon, im also wondering by any chance this backing track is available from like a code in the book or can I have it any other way for a practice routine? thanks
There is, I think, a misprint in the book for this song... or at least you're playing it differently here. In the first two bars of the "banjo" bit, the music has us voicing the bass part in double time (every i.e. quarter note) whereas in this video you're playing those same notes every other quarter note. The way you're playing in the video sounds more correct.
The best rendition on you tube of this historycal bass song, and the trascription will be perfect for sure, kudos Stuart
Thanks Mario!

I used to play this in 90's :). Great playing - thank you.
This composition literally uses guitar chords in a lot of places;
I always enjoyed those kinds of bass solos a lot.

You must have an early copy of the book. That is indeed a misprint and it was corrected instantly!
@@StuartClayton ah - good to know! I only bought the book this week though.
