    I’m sure that you already know that we have been given the completely wrong information for years and years. Eating fat , good fats not seed oils does not make you fat. It’s the carbs and sugar that are the issue. Even if you are diagnosed as type 2 diabetic the information you are given then is completely wrong. They tell you to include grains, vegetable oils and wholewheat pasta and low fat dairy the complete opposite to what you need. This is because they want us to remain ill , illness pays a healthy population doesn’t. Big pharmaceutical giants are running everything.

    • @largefamilymama
      @largefamilymama  Місяць тому +4

      Yes indeed! Everything we have been told is a big fat lie and those that run the show want us sick and dependent. What a sick joke it all is. Recently there seems to be more information coming out about the combination of sugar and seed oils together that’s really triggering diabetes in everyone at such a young age.

    Your channel is such a refreshing change. I ate carnivore for 3 and half years and it changed my life. I think I was pre-diabetic, and within a week of eating carnivore all my health issues started fading away. The last 3 years I havn't eating carnivore as I eat some fruit and veg, but not a lot, a small amount of rice and sourdough. Regarding your foot you might find it takes a while to get rid of your problem. Sores are generally your body detoxing I think. Seed oils can take years to get out of your body. I am almost 7 years clear of eating seed oils etc and I must admit I feel better every year

I was recommended intermittent fasting two years ago then binged watched all the videos then discovered the ketovore/carnivore people and rest is history. I know what to do if I refrain from carbs and have gained and lost many times. Thanks for your inspiration.

    Thank you for sharing about the carnivore diet! It is easy to see that you have lost weight. I have thought about it for a while, I have a lot of health issues, IBS is one of them, and I just know that the diet would be good for me. I am just a little bit afraid of the costs of it. Good meat is very expensive here in Norway. And I think I would keep my butter.

    • @anniec6420
      @anniec6420 Місяць тому +1

      you can eat fatty fish (salmon) as well and the meat doesnt have to be high quality, just meat, bacon, fish, eggs and butter and drink water although i drank green tea instead as i dont like plain water and i couldnt go without my cup of tea and milk in the morning, but i understand coffee may be/is allowed especially with melted butter whisked into it.(helps constipation).....i only lasted two weeks but am going to attempt it again in new year....i dont have major health issues which is probably why i didnt last long, although arthritis seems to be becoming a problem (im 63) and when i came off it i had a lot of pain and stiffness in my feet....interesting...and i really really enjoyed eating rib eye fillet often yummy

    • @largefamilymama
      @largefamilymama  Місяць тому +3

      Good quality meat can be expensive, I buy directly from a farm so that saves me a lot of money. Also, as I am not buying as much of the other food I used to eat it therefore balances out price wise. I keep telling myself I shouldn’t put a price on health because without it I won’t be here.

    • @largefamilymama
      @largefamilymama  Місяць тому

      @anniec6420 Yes so true. I completely forgot to mention seafood! I eat lots of wild salmon, sardines and mussels.
      This diet definitely helps with inflammation and will stop your joints from hurting so yes it might be a good idea to have another go. Be careful with the green tea though as it has a lot of oxalates.

      @@largefamilymama I started on Lion and found it quite easy. I introduced dairy and found that it started to affect me. I seem to be fine with cream in small doses and I have to watch how much cheese I eat and milk seems to be an issue. So when I do lion I'm just going to still use cream in coffee and just go from there. I have low ferritin so going lion will help with that also

    I lost weight on the carnivore in the first two weeks.. but not in the last two months or maybe more now.. also 3rd and 4th week i felt so awful I thought maybe the fat in the diet was hurting me.. I was so tired , feeling so sick, I couldn't function.. so 5 week added some veggies with the odd meal and fruit by it self between meals as a snack a couple days a week. I also cut down on the fat.. This week i decided to do Strick carnivore and a couple days in I received what I call a miracle in my stomach area.. seven year pain and growing lump, that made it hard to bend down or sit up in bed is gone.. I did have some homemade juice with monk sugar one day after the high fat day. So I don't know what took the lump away. I am still feeling leery to go strict carnivore every day and I have not lost any weight since those first two weeks.. I wonder now if that the block in my abdomen is gone maybe my body might work proper.. I don't know,, I will keep working on it. I was new to making sour dough,, i love it and miss it too. lately been thinking i might have a day where i make it for company and enjoy a piece. LOL..

    • @largefamilymama
      @largefamilymama  Місяць тому +1

      I'm glad the carnivore way of eating has helped with getting rid of that lump. I have heard from many that your body will focus on healing before it will allow you to lose weight so maybe you have some more healing to go first.
      Sourdough bread is so satisfying to make and just delicious so I fully understand why you'd want to have a little bit 😁

      @@largefamilymama LOL , I am so surprised you were able to read my comment.. I looked up at it when i came to read your response and OH MY. I think I fixed it up and it is more understandable to read now. The way you responded to me is a thought I had in my mind because I have heard a carnivore person or two mention the healing in the body can take a few months before losing weight. I am still very shocked over what passed through my body , as the object was about 5 inches long and about inch thick at one end, and inch and half wide. I felt so good for a couple of days and two days later passed another piece.. today I sit here feeling that poke in my side like there is still something there.. Hoping my carnivore day of high fat will get rid of the rest. In the mean time that big lump/bulge near my gull bladder and liver is still gone and I feel good, other than the little ache and I have more energy. I think I can smell sourdough now, LOL . Thank you for commenting .

      We go through eggs so quickly in this house so they’re never older than a week but eggs do last ages out of the fridge. Here in the UK eggs are not kept in fridges in the stores either.

    Me and David have been wanting to try this for so long, I have gut issues and I dont sleep well. Plus we want to lose weight. You have given me the motivation to do it, so I am going to do it for November and see how I feel, David wont take any convincing either. I am worried about the sugar cravings though :| could you do a video or post on what you ate in week etc on the diet please ? You can have greek yogurt right? I hope so, as I think that would help some of my sweet cravings xx

    • @largefamilymama
      @largefamilymama  Місяць тому

      I’m glad you’re going to give it a go!!
      The best way to get over the sugar cravings is to completely eliminate anything sweet, no honey, stevia etc absolutely nothing sweet and your cravings will vanish very quickly.
      Funnily enough, when I first started the diet and still had the sugar cravings I would eat a spoonful of unsweetened Greek yoghurt and that really helped. After not having anything sweet for months things like clotted cream would taste so sweet to me, almost like ice cream 😁

      If you did want to try the carnivore diet then it would definitely be worth doing some research first. There are plenty of people that have been on the diet for decades so you should hear what they have to say about the long term benefits. Kelly Hogan has been on the diet for decades she has a channel called My Zero Carb Life. There are some doctors that have been on the diet for many years, my favourites are Anthony Chaffee MD and Ken D Berry MD both their channels are very informative.
