Mike, the Mack, all of your fellow plow and clean-up folks and special equipment are incredibly durable. 21 hours, shovel and then do it again so we can be safe. THANK YOU for your skills and dedication. You are all unsung heroes.

I know people give the snowplow drivers crap for tearing up the roads and contributing to their cars rusting into nothing, but the alternative is only people with 4x4 offroaders being able to get anywhere. I always give them the thumbs up when I see them
If you want to stay up at night plowing snow? Chocolate covered coffee beans. They served me well between 3-4am. Another thing after many, many years of plowing snow, the smaller the flake the more snow you get.
I remember those days all too well! We had some big snow when I was growing up in NJ. Ran a 922 Cat and HOUGH pay loader. Plowed with tandem dump trucks as well. Slept many a night in all of them. Thanks for taking me back. Ohh by the way not only did I lean out of the window too see the curb, I was trying to stay awake! Lol
Fun to watch so thanks! First started plowing 50+ driveways in Lexington during the blizzard of '78 (Don Kent predicted 3-4" at 9:30AM); still miss it as I live in Atlanta.
Awesome post! Up here in eastern Ontario Canada, we've been dealing with the first legitimate January winter in 3 years. We've had some decent snow falls but "NOTHING" like what that nor-easter dumped on you. But we've got temperatures in the minus 30s.....so we've got you beat there. Our trucks don't like being woken up when it's that cold. That's when you find out how good your hydraulic seals are......
I remember the blizzard of 78 very well. We were snowed in for 4 days. Our son was born 9 months later. Then there was the blizzard of 82. Our daughter was born during it. Now everyone but us are getting blizzards. Give back our winter!!! lolol
Marcia Marcia Marcia! Pretty sure I was watching the Brady Bunch during the Blizzard of 78! It's nice that you have such great memories from those big storms! I agree, we really haven't had a real Boston winter since 2015.
Who doesn't love a Trojan 😂 especially with a screamer 😂 love watching old iron work glad to hear that you didn't get as much as they was thinking great video as always mike keep up the good work stay safe and warm out there mike
Watching this video was trip down memory lane. Raised in Waltham, I plowed snow for Cochran Construction back in the late 60s before I joined the Air Force.
Great video i love plowing i am a 22 year plow driver in central Mn and love my job i hope we get at least 1 good storm like the before i retire it just dosnt snow like this in Mn i run a 2021 westernstar tandem with a plow a wing and belly blade sander and brine system i have all the toys just not enough snow to play with have a great day be safe.
I've been out of Mass for 17 yrs but I immediately recognized 1030 as being WBZ. My mother always had that on in the background. We used to be glued to WBZ snow days in the 70s in hopes of school cancellations. Dave Maynard in the Morning. I was born Oct '69 so I "survived" the Blizzard of '78 and I know these weather people in New England have been lusting over forecasting the next '78. They all want to have their hat blow off live on TV like the newscaster back in '78 did. None have had the power of '78 since. Although I remember one being close in '94. I can't comment on winter 2015 because I was already gone 10 yrs by then. Thanks for the memories. Now I need to text back home and see how much they got up on the North Shore.
Slick ol truck nice plow set up i have a sbowplow business I carry all kinds of snacks and goodies to I also keep a good chain in case i get hung up or in a emergency situation I need to yank somebody out or a situation I had to yank the door open to get the people out of a wreck with no help around in the freezing temperature
We got about 10" in my area out of that storm. Went out just after 10pm, got home around 5:30am, then jumped in the tractor for a couple hours to snowblow the driveways on my road. I miss the action of my commercial account in Portland, but I don't miss the 24 hours to do one complete round and cleanup of my route
first time i see one of your videos. GREAT VIDEO..:) great filming with all the filming view points. continue doing great work plowing...lol and yes, it gave me YOUR point of view while plowing with a big truck...really cool..:)
I was in Boston January 78 after that snow fell. Driving on packed snow that became ice about 6 " thick. If you found a pothole , you didn't move. Watched army APC drive across fields while traffic backed up unable to move.
One good think about plowing parking lots, especially on weekends. We called it a night a 8 pm after the heavy snow fell in Woburn. And picked it up again at 6 on Sunday. The only place that was opening Sunday was the cinemas in Woburn. I think I played mechanic more that plowing this storm. 2 flats, and a rear brake rotor broke.

First time viewer here.... are you a private company that is contracted by your local city to plow the roads? That seems weird to me. It might be normal in your area but around here it's only municipality owned vehicles that plow city streets. Great video! I will be watching more. Thanks
Thanks for watching! In Massachusetts it is very common for cities and the state to hire contractors as well as municipal trucks for plowing and salting.
Thank you for keeping the roads safe for us all Mike.
It's my pleasure 😊
My Dad is 90, and he's still the Mr Plow of his rural area. Amazing guy.
God bless him!
As a kid, I would love staying up to watch the plows pass my house.
