I plan on reading Wild Love soon. so glad you enjoyed it! I have so many books on my summer tbr that will probably be read in early fall at this point 😂
the first half of the grace year is REALLL strange but then after it gets so good and everything starts making so much more sense and has so much more depth. don’t give up!!!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I really enjoyed this way of doing your July wrap-up. It's interesting to see how diverse peoples reading experiences are. I guess some books just resonate with some people more than others. Given that you enjoy historical fiction, you may like The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon. It is based on a true story, and I loved it. Happy reading 📚
Love how you did this wrap up! So sad to hear about Bookshop by the Sea, I haven’t tried any of her books but want to so bad! Definitely will try another one of hers first!
I have never read Bookshop by the Sea, it is on my tbr. Denise Hunter has a series called the Riverbend Series. I would honestly recommend the series. I do think the 2nd book is a bit better than the 1st, but you want to read them in order. I really like Denise Hunter so I hope this series could sway you to like her writing. But if not, than I won't cry for very long lol
I couldn't even write a proper review for Reckless because while the ending did surprise me, I totally agree that the rest of the book was repetitive and slow. I will read the next one though purely for the banter and chemistry 😅
I’m reading Summer of Yes right now and really enjoying it! I like the idea of the Chestnut Spring series setting, but I’m not crazy about the level of open door scenes - I might have to look up Mandie Blake instead!
New subbie here🙋♀️🙋♀️ personally I thought Heartless has been my fave by Elsie Silver so far (I’ve read 3 of her books) BUT I can see it from your point of view as well. Definitely enjoyed this video and hearing what others are saying about the books we’re all reading💞
@@Jordan_elaine girl of COURSE!! If we all liked the same things we would be super boring. It’s always okay to have a difference of opinion especially when it comes to our forms of entertainment✨
"He's 30 and he skateboards." My brother-in-law picked up skateboarding when he was 30 and loves it. There doesn't need to be an age limit on it 😆 "Did we even read the same book?" I've wondered that about several books over the years 😂 I loved hearing the 5- and 1-star reviews! Such a great idea!
Also, as someone who has read her fair share of Denise Hunter I will say Bookshop By the Sea is by far my least favorite as well. It's not her best at all. I'd say try the Riverbend Gap series or Summer Harbor Series. Book 1 of summer harbor is actually set in the winter so maybe a good time to start in a few months? Sorry you didn't enjoy your read, and I hope the next one you try you do
The Summer of Yes will always hold a special place in my heart! 🫶
This is such a great way to do a wrap up! I want to steal it 😂
😂 you should do it!
Oh I love how you did this wrap up with the Goodreads add-in 😄
I love the way you did this wrap up. It made it so fun 👏🏻💖

I LOVED Summer Romance sooooo much!
For such a small book it really packed a good story! 🥰

The struggle 😂
I didn't like The Grace Year. I like weird but this wasn't good weird 😅 I think I might have liked it more if I read it when I was a teen.

Oh good! Thanks for letting me know!
I can’t wait to read summer romance. It’s been on my list for a while ❤
Love Unscripted and A Novel Proposal is good by Denise ❤ I haven’t liked her older ones usually.
Thank you for the recs! I do want to try another
I loved reading heartless together 💙
And love that we agreed!

I def didn’t love the summer of yes, but I see the appeal if the message ❤
I also loved Wild Love. She was a firecracker!
SUMMER ROMANCE AND SUMMER OF YES ❤❤❤❤❤
I agree that you should try Denise Hunter’s new book, Love, Unscripted. It’s so cute & sweet. Highly recommend!
That’s the one everyone is saying I should try 🥰 added to my list

Your review of Reckless made me even more curious to read it soon🤭
I really hope you enjoy it!

I think Mandie Blake is a good alternative for clean cowboy romance!
Jordan, if your going to try Denise Hunter again, you gotta try her two newer ones. I would recommend “Love, Unscripted.”
Thank you! I have riverbend gap on my shelf :)

Great wrap up 📚🥤
Thanks 🥰
It’s me. 🙋♀️ I’m the crazy person who writes paragraphs long reviews 🤣
😂😂😂😂 I love you!

I think it’s awesome to still pick up new hobbies as we age!
ok, I LOVE this format!! Also, I'm seriously so disappointed about Bookshop by the Sea....🙁
I DNFed The Grace Year a few months ago, so I'm interested to see what you think about when you're finished with it.
Oh no 🤭 how far did you make it?
Same Time Next Summer had such raving reviews 😂
Would love to see some BIPOC authors next time ❤
Reading a Kennedy Ryan book this month :)
📚
Almost every single person who read reckless was a bit disappointed 😕 I'm guessing that the next book is going to be really good though 👏
It better be! Haha
Agreed about Lovely War! I loved it and my mom didn't like it at all!
Hello! Is it good to see you on this most exquisite day 😂
