    I have Following Questions
    1. For Intake, Do we require a sand trap Intake air louver or is Normal Weather Louver will work?
    2. From which Standard did you get the Maximum Allowable Temperature?
    3. The Intake Air flow-rate Which You have calculated, Does it require a separate Exhaust fan or Radiator Fan will Exhaust this Flow rate?

    Great video.. but why you're using "exhaust gas flow rate" instead of "combustion air inlet flow rate" from the Caterpillar datasheet?

    I think this formula is only applicable for CAT genset. For Cummins, their datasheets are different, thus different and more simple formula. Intake louver size is calculated from the sum of cooling air and combustion air flow.
    By the way, I don't understand why you use exhaust gas flow rate in your calculation, I don't think it's correct. According to my understanding, you need to use combustion air inlet flow rate instead to calculate the intake louver. Exhaust gas flow rate is used to size the exhaust pipe, not the intake louver. Air and gas in the datasheet are different matter.
    Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Why you didn't consider the radiator cooling air flow into the intake calculations, you just considered the heat dissipation and air combustion?

    In a data sheet I have a btu per minute and kw per minute, in your calculation you have only in kw , how to coverts kw per minute or should I use it as kw directly ? Please advise
    Thanks

    How do you calculate temperature at 122deg F by interpolation. Can you tell the formula?

    Hi sir. I have one doubt, regarding the T1 & T2. Does it constant values?

    • @MEPEngineeringTutorials
      @MEPEngineeringTutorials  2 роки тому

      T1 & T2 values as per geographical location. The values which I used here are as per UAE standard.

    You did not consider the net free area

    • @MEPEngineeringTutorials
      @MEPEngineeringTutorials  2 роки тому

      Louver area which I have calculated here is net area not gross area. If you want to check gross area of louver it would be twice of net area because we consider 50% net free area.
