Just looking through all reaction videos now and very moved by yours, so amazing to see such a genuine feeling for a song I love so much too from my country. 🙏💕💖
Deserved winner - Alika's performance was the best today. I also liked the performances of Inger, Andreas and Sissi. Many songs from this NS are on my playlist. I wish Alika all the best in Liverpool.
Im Estonian and of course love Estonian songs. BUT i think Alika is very talented, despite of her place in Eurovision, she will have big future because of her unique voice.
I was (and still am) team Ollie. Venom is my favourite song this year 🖤 so I'm devasted 😔 but Alika is a great singer and she will represent Estonia very well.
Yknow what Ollie was my winner but I honestly cannot be mad at this. This is pure quality and I had a feeling it'd win because Estonians I saw on different yt videos and everything said Alika is known in Estonia, she won a singing competition. Especially given that Ollie wasn't known at all in Estonia prior to Eesti Laul this year and the winners are typically known, it was huge for Ollie to get 2nd. This should realistically be a handy qualifier and hopfully do well in the final.
Ollie was my winner as well and I geniunely started to think he might win last evening when I was at Eesti Laul - Ollie got the wildest cheers from the crowd whenever he was mentioned. I don't think being not known is a big deal here, nobody really cares. Alika is kinda a newcomer too, nobody really knew her before she won the Estonian Idol in the end of 2021. Nobody also knew who Victor Crone was, heck he wasn't even from Estonia. Also nobody knew Sandra Nurmsalu & Urban Symphony, Elina Nechayeva wasn't and isn't a popular pop singer, her main thing remains opera and it's not mainstream. Eesti Laul is expected to be the best platform for newcomers and people want new artists. Ollie was a true blessing! Can't wait his collab with Bedwetters :D
Yay! Shane, Team Alika, she won!! 😊 I am SO happy! So well deserved! Her singing quality is incredible, this was just right! She is a star with a powerful song full of dynamics and crescendo at the end! I was on your side in the "eurovision tea" - I saw it later. Personally I did not agree with some opinions that there were a lack of feeling in her performance. Of course it can always be even more. But to be able to deliver like her, you must have knowledge of intonation, breathing technique, phrasing etc. It requires feeling, presence and interpretation of the music regarding basically every note she sings. I saw and felt the power coming from within, even in her expression. Especially when she holds out the notes and in the crescendo at the end. Her singing was perfectly on pitch. I agree that the "camera effects" for Ollie were a bit "distracting". Such a great song though, all my respect to him and good job! 💖
I had to work and came home and looked up the livestream so fast. I was just in time for the result, it was pretty confusing bc it looked like they announced Bedwetters and they were like celebrating, and then they said Alika and I thought it was a super final between them but she had already won 🤣 my personal favourite was Ollie but she was my number 2 so I’m very happy. That last note gives me chills. I can enjoy Venom on my spotify playlist 😊
It was a toss up for me between Ollie and Alika in the end both I could see getting a top 10 result in Liverpool. Alika's I feel was already the complete product in terms of song, vocals and staging which I could see being copy and pasted onto a Eurovision stage. I'm happy for you that your favourite won the selection :)
Ah Shane, I think I have my overal number 1 of Eurovision 2023. I have been on such a journey with this song I just can't see anything disloging it from my top spot. Kinda like Chanel from last year. I am so so so pleased Alika won. I too had convinced myself that Ollie was going to win, and whilst I enjoyed "Venom", there was only one choice from Estonia for me, and I am so happy they made it. 😍 That being said, maybe the moment Ollie and Bedwetters lost it was when they opened those umbrella's inside the arena. Everyone knows you don't do that 😄
I am with you, Shane! This song is also my no.1 from the beginning ❤ (Ollie's performance is incredible too but in terms of the song, nothing special to me, I set higher standards to rock songs lol) So happy Alika made it, especially after my another favorite- Elsie Bay didn't make it in MGP.
Dw about the people voting, usually its the jury that sends something horrible to represent us. I dont think we will get a high ranking this year, since its not your typical pop song, but personally Im happy with this years pick.
I like the song and love the performance. Would have I preferred Ollie? Maybe, but this is also a good choice. My winner is still Janek, but that didn't go to plan.
Not gonna lie, i'm more team Ollie and i think Ollie was the better song, and, we've sent ballads before which didn't really do all that well, but all things considered, we had not just one, but TWO absolutely amazing songs in the NF, each very strong in their own way, so i'm not even mad. Alika has the most perfect voice i've heard in a very long time, so silky smooth, yet so powerful and colorful. As far as i'm concerned, i think we have an equal shot at the top this year, especially since the selection of other contenders so far is nearly void of ballads, which will separate Alika from others. In any case, good luck to all countries, it's gonna be a great show this year, many quite good entries.
I am happy for Alika, she's come a long way to get there, yet I'm thoroughly disappointed with our result. Alika won the equivalent of "American idol" or "pop idol" in here, so she's built a fan base, while Ollie is pretty much unknown and Bedwetters is an old returning band. Also the super-final was a scam, 2 rock songs competing with each other, so a strong ballad has an easy time given my previous statement. I don't know what else to say, I would have been hyped for our entry for once if Ollie had made it, now I just don't really care how far we make it.
Hey Mirko! The happiness in this video comes.from surprise. It was pretty clear to most people Blanca was going to win Benidorm Fest. Everything I was reading I kind of assumed Ollie was going to win so my happiness is also from shock as well. Also, whilst I think Spain made a great choice picking Blanca - I genuinely believe that - i was always clear Blanca was not my favourite in Benidorm fest and Alika was my favourite in Eesti LAUL. For these reasons I guess that's why my reactions are different to both victories. BUT be assured....Spain have a good entry this year and will do very well with it 💖💖💖
What are your thoughts of the result and Alika's victory? Let me know in the comments below 👇 ⬇
I’m thinking Tallinn 2024
My wife and I watched this here in the USA and both cried when she won. It was the only final we could watch today. We loved this song
💖💖💖💖💖
❤
Alika has the voice and the command of the stage will be perfect for Eurovision.
Her vocals are totally on point :)
Good luck Estonia!!
It's so good to see that someone has such a good opinion of Alika's song! There's something about this song that haunts...
I love it 💖
This song is one of my favourite Eurovision songs ever :D
Love your reaction ❤

Deserved!!! Could this win for you Shane?? Looks like she could ☮❤
I was (and still am) team Ollie. Venom is my favourite song this year 🖤 so I'm devasted 😔 but Alika is a great singer and she will represent Estonia very well.
I prefered Alika, it's different. Ollie was more of a radio friendly song.
The only strong result from this “Super Saturday” thank god!
I knew I could count on you for liking this song 😅 everybody else seems to be a fan of Ollie. Alika is fantastic
💖💖
You've a lot of videos to do tonight 😂. Should do a livestream in the future.

Hahaha 😂 thanks for being on my side in the little debate on Eurovision Tea 💖
I am VERY happy this has won 💖
@@ShanesEurovisionReview Of course! Me too! 💖💖
This song should win Eurovision
I have high hopes for the song

Well firstly, it is not a boring song.I think it will do a lot better in Eurovision than people think.
I never said it was was boring haha. I love this song 💖

Ollie is my winner.
I am so sad because Ollie didnt win😥😥, Bridges is good I dont doubt It, but to me is a little bit flat. Happy that at least you love it.
I like the song and love the performance.
Would have I preferred Ollie? Maybe, but this is also a good choice.
My winner is still Janek, but that didn't go to plan.
Personally this song does nothing for me but I’m happy you’re happy Shane. :)

Do you get Adele vibes?
I've been thinking this from the start. I get Adele vibes from this as well.
I love her vocals and I’m rooting for Estonia all the time but the song is too boring for me.
Absolutely gutted that i’ve lost Ollie to this😔 Come May i will be hoping not to hear Estonia announced in qualifying for the Final as a result🤭
No te alegraste tanto cuando ganó Blanca Paloma 🙄.
Ollie hubiera sido una opción mucho mejor para jurado y televoto. Suerte queridas.

so boring
M Els was my winner
Alika....nice voice, but boring song. sorry estonia.
So many good songs this year. I like Janek, Bedwetters, Sissi much more.
Well. That sucked. NO ESC for me this year.
bye 👋
