It was broken in multiple pieces and the seller refused to take it back for repairs or send him a new one. So he got to work and repaired it renaming it the Phoenix pack and it became probably the coolest proton pack in the world.
If someone tells you that you are a nerd-god, you say "HECK YA"! Would be pretty awesome to have fans blowing out from the sides of the pack (somehow) so when you activate/blast proton streams, it simulates the windblowing we see in the films. Could probably do it easily with a bunch of 80mm fans or smaller - would also create some cool feeling of atmosphere as well. Beautiful design. Gets me pretty excited to see the film again... And the game... And everything else Ghostbusters.
The only thing I'm noticing is that after the pack vents it doesn't do the pack restart sound effect like it should. Other than that, this is amazingly awesome and I'd love to make or buy one.
what did you use in the hose from the pack to the gun to have light running through it? I'm currently working on a pack for me and my 4 year old son and we are going as ghostbusters for halloween trick or treat!!
Having made one myself, and not as great as this one, I have to tell you that it'll take a bit longer than a Month to put one of these together. Primarily It depends on how accurate you want to make it. Less accurate packs are quicker to build than screen accurate packs.
You should try to add those 3 lights for the Messon collider and retracting and opening arms for the stasis/shock blaster. I believe vikingprops make a nice slime thrower pump that attaches to the neutrino wand.
