I have the exact same ceramic white cat in perfect condition. It was my grandmother's. She actually had a beautiful white cat named Charlie that was totally deaf. Great memories seeing this video! Thank you!
I had to watch when I saw the large ceramic cat and the little ones. My mom and I took a ceramics class and I did two large cats.. sitting and one lying down. I did them from the greenware... cleaning the seams from the mold and they did the firing. I painted mine grey. I also have the small ones.. the owners of the shop had done them and I don't remember just how I came to have them.. they were said to be porcelain but I don't know..and don't care.. I love them. Either my mom bought them or the gave them to me. They made their own line of stains and paints, poured their own greenware. It was so much fun. Good grief, that was 55 years ago. My daughter was just a baby and she's 55. Where does the time go. Thank you for buying the kitties. Someone will love them.
How interesting, thank you so much for sharing!! So true Diana, time does go by so quickly!! The large and the two small cats have found good homes, I still have the medium size. 😊💗
The cat laying down with the ball of yarn has been in my family for as long as I have been alive. My grandmother made it before I was born...it's yellow lol. I remember always looking at it as a kid and secretly wishing it was mine. Well fast Forward many years and with the passing of my dad my step mom gave me the yellow cat. It was such a bitter sweet moment but I was happy to have it my possession. Now the yellow cat lives with me and it sits under an end table just like it lived for years when I was growing up😊
The large cat is very similar to the one I have from my grandmas. The only difference is my cat's eyes are an iridescent/opalescence eye. My grandma had it as long as I can remember and I'm 50.
I did all 3 types of those cats and kittens, which was a 3pc set. The cat with yarn I gave to Aunt, but was destroyed in a house fire. What a past from the past! I have the big cat and the set of the kittens which I did in the 8th grade for 4-H.
Thank you sooooo much for moving slowly and letting me see everything. It was my favorite fun thing to do, but now I’m unable to travel. So feeling like I’m there is a wonderful wonderful thing for me. You have a great show. Well done!
Hello Barbara, I'm thrilled and honored to have you thrifting along with me. I thank you so much for your kind words and I'm delighted that you're enjoying my videos!! 🥰❤️
I just found your video on UA-cam and I was amazed at your knowledge on all those pieces. I love your accent and I really enjoyed shopping with you. Definitely gave you a Thumbs Up 👍🏻 and I most definitely subscribed to your channel. I can’t wait to watch your previous videos and to shop with you in the future. What caught my eye was the big White Cat that you found! I have the exact same piece done in different color browns with green eyes. I inherited it for my favorite Aunt a few years ago.She sits by my fireplace in my living room. This is definitely a vintage piece! I wish you the best of luck 🤞🏻 treasure hunting!
I have that same white cat the large one but mine has green eyes I had given it to my mother back when I was about 15 pretty old bought it back in 1977 showing my age lol 😂 came across your channel really love it very interesting you gave me an idea how to make some money since I haven’t been working since we got hit with this craziness hopefully we’ve seen the tail end of it I hope looking forward on seeing some more videos God bless 🙏🏻❤️😊
Wow! I had to watch your video when I saw the Large white cat 🤩 when I was younger probably in the 80’s I painted a cat EXACTLY like this one for my Mom 🥰it brought back many great memories
Tiffany, I just love watching your shopping videos. I learn so much on how to identify pieces that are worth picking up. And I absolutely love seeing the haul at the end, especially when Bandit & Ziggy are there. Bear is adorable. He will be big before you know it!! Thank you for taking me along on your shopping trips 😘
Everytime I see a Video like this all I can think of is the Show "HOARDERS"!! That's how those ppl get their Houses so junked up! They buy stuff & say they are "Collectors" or will resell for Profit, but never do! I've been in Charity Shops at various times & I can never get past the Smell of Old Items & the Depressing Spirit that's attached to the items! It's like walking into a refuse bin! 😱 Bravo to you if you can do it, successfully! I wish you & your Descendents (who would have to do a Clear Out if you get sick or pass away) all the best!! 😊🌷🐤🐇
The galloping horses are my favorite piece from today's haul. They are gorgeous. The Mother cat and 2 small kittens are a set, she is very lovely. My mother got her set in the early 1970s, hand made by a local lady who gave green eyes and nylon whiskers to the mother cat. I still remember her joy and delight when she saw them. They now are fond remembrances of her for the 4 generations who have come after her.
I under-glazed "painted" and glazed 3 of the same cats you showed, I worked with green ware not bisque, it involved a lot of clean up and smoothing of the pieces. I did mine in the early 90's. It brought back a few memories of attending ceramic classes with a dear friend. Thanks for another fun video..
I have the large Cat..life size one.I made it in a ceramics class back in the late 60s I gave it to my Grandma and when she passed it was returned to me! It's in perfect condition! I still love it!
Some cute stuff. My mom has that same tall white cat. To me that Bonsai Tree would been a Treasure. Love that. Not a bad price for that. Love your Black and White cat. Both Cats are so cute.
Great haul! I especially love the cats. They remind me of my cats Frosty. He passed away last year at age 17 yrs. He was a stray & about 3 no old when I gave him a home. He was a laid back cat that got along with my dogs as well as other cats. He’s sorely missed.
I have the big cat. It was my great grandparents..they had it all throughout my childhood. I've had it for at least the past 20yrs. It's in mint condition with the prettiest blue eyes. 💙
I find it interesting that those ceramic cats from the 70's/80's are such a huge hit now. My mom and I both made a set of those cats in the early 80's in a ceramics class and I let mine go at a garage sale about 10 years ago... I think I maybe got $5 for each of them. I made mine in a mother of pearl glaze and green eyes... they were beautiful.
I really enjoyed seeing all the white kittens! Last year I bought a bunch of short haired white cats off of ebay. I have relatives that live in Vegas. I wish my thirift stores were more like yours! Enjoy your videos. KEEP THIRIFTING!
L O L! I had a basket with that “funny little S“ mark on the bottom of it and it took me months to figure out what it was! This video would have saved my eyes a lot of computer research hours!
First time to your channel. Used to have an antique shop, stand alone, in Sacramento. I'm now 70 years old and don't move as well as I used to. Severe arthritis has put an end to those days. (My doctor actually attributes much of it to years of moving heavy furniture, from purchase to restoring to rearranging the shop, and carrying so many heavy boxes. It didn't matter if it was cut glass, heavy Heisey, depression glass, tools, primitives or cast iron. It seems every box was heavy. Unless it was all primitive tim items. Even paper items were heavy if you had many in a box.) I do, though, very much miss the days of thrifting, scouring, hunting and the thrill of finding. Although it was not so much in stores fo me, but sometimes, , it was more garage sales, street sales and we were often invited into whole estates either for pricing or purchase. Oh, and the treasures we'd find. Isn't it amazing what people have and take for granted or not know what they have? And sad in a way that even though the children often know how much something was valued by their parents that they have no interest in it. Often not even in keeping one item for sentimental reasons. However, In the long run I guess so much the better for us, right? I do miss the scavenger days of going through old barns and old buildings in the country and outer skirts of towns. I think I'm going to enjoy your channel. About the wooden goblet you plan to oil I'm thinking it looks like olive wood. Having visited Israel I know that selling olive wood items is quite a little industry there. The wood graining of olive wood is pretty distinctive. Once you know it, you spot it easily. Kind of like quarter sawn oak. You might check online for "olive wood pieces from Israel".Check out the beautiful graining. You might even be able to find the same one, depending on how long ago it was purchased or has continued to be produced. Now my eyes are not as good as the used to be especially when viewing your channel on my phone but I do believe it is Olive wood I look forward to watching more of your videos. Not only is it fun to see what you find it is nostalgic for me
Hello Deborah and welcome to my channel! What an interesting message, thank you very much! Like you, I spend many hours lifting and moving heavy boxes, and I also love the thrill of the hunt when thrifting! I appreciate the olive wood information, thank you! Sending prayers for good health. 😊❤
It's so interesting to watch and see you find what you call "vintage" and we had in our ceramic shop. In the end we had over 8000 molds. Our classes were teaching from greenware to finished piece. My grandmother started in the 50's and my Mom and I ended in the 90's...so sad what it has become.
it's 1030 here at night just calming down for the evening. I am listening to your voice it is so calming and peaceful. i'm ready for bed. I appreciated your video and I am so glad I found you thank you for sharing your knowledge.
When I moved a few years ago, I donated my whole duck collection of around 100 items. From salt and pepper shakers to big cookie jars and everything in between. When I went into the thrift store a week later, my ducks had a 6 foot table dedicated to them in the center aisle. The staff put them all out at once. A man and woman were looking them over, I overheard him say to the woman 'I guess a crazy duck lady died'. 🤣🤣🤣
I love a good treasure hunt! My Nana has a thrift store in Seaside, Ca back in 50-70’s. I loved having out as a little girl. Got lots of great barbies and what not.
My grandmother has the exact same cat to this day! I remember it from childhood and when I saw her last month it is still sitting in her living room looking as beautiful as the day she got it
I'm always on the lookout for another white kitty figurine. My grandfather bought me one that stayed on his fireplace. I remember every time I would go visit, he would give me some coins to put in there. He always picked on me saying he took coins out of my kitty bank but he'd let me put them back lol. Unfortunately one of the last visits there before he got sick, my mom talked grandpa in to letting me bring it home. I never saw it again. That's been over 30 years ago and my heart still breaks a little everytime I think about it. I've forgiven her and she's sober now, I would do anything to find another one. I've come across a couple online but they're not quite the same and none of them have been kitty banks. Thank you for taking me down memory lane. I so enjoy watching your videos
I passed one of those large Persian cats up at a thrift store once because my ex husband said I didn't need it. It's been like 3 years (we're thankfully divorced now) but I am STILL looking for it. My boyfriend's mom has one and the kittens in her house. They're so cute. I can't wait til I find her again. I do collect cat figurines lol
I made 2 of the big cats in the 80’s. My mother and I took ceramic classes and we fell in love with the cats, so we. bought the green ware and made them.
I have the exact same large kitty. My mom did ceramics in the Sixties and early Seventies. I believe my cat was painted in late Sixties, maybe 1965, 1966, 1967?? Mine is matte finish, bone color and antiqued in brown with green eyes. Love it!
The treeeeee! Wowser!!!!! Gorgeous!!! I collect those, but this is out of my range. List high, this can pay for a specific item for your new home!! Sweet Bandit, I enjoy seeing you.💕💕
Love the kitties! My Grandma had all of those! I went thrifting today and come across 2 life size roosters at $10 each. They're beautiful and in perfect condition. Got home with them and decided to look them up. The bottom has the green felt on the bottom to keep them from scratching furniture and/or floors. Found them both and they're Fitz and Floyd! They're selling for around $225 - $250+!!!! Of course I'm not selling them but was never so ecstatic to find the treasures were quiet valuable vintage pieces! To think I was considering painting them grey to incorporate them into a French Country decor! Happy hunting and good luck
I have been collecting cat figurines for more than 50 years. I have some valuable Fenton glass cats, I have large drawings of cats. Every kind of cat you can think of. Even the ones like you found this last time at the goodwill store.
Thanks for picking up the hand painted cats. I like handmade things, I think of them as folk art. I use to have the wallet that go with the Vera Bradley purse. I wore it out. Enjoy your videos.
So very glad to have stumbled across your video! I have so many, considered too many by some, cat figurines. I actually have three of the large cats! One of the sitting cats is unique in the fact that it is a smokey gray and cream color with blue eyes. It is actually a 'piggy bank' piece. I usually see them solid white so this one is beautiful to me. I have another sitting cat that is white. I found her in a thrift shop but she is actually missing her eyes. I found 2 very pretty blue marbles that I plan to glue in place to give her new eyes. The third large cat I have is actually laying down. He has been painted gray and has green eyes. The paint job on the eyes is not good and takes away from the piece. I plan to touch up the eyes by highlighting them with a lighter paint, which will bring this piece back to life. I have numerous smaller cat and kitten pieces. One of my daughters was visiting recently and made the comment that she supposes that me having real fur babies is not enough and that is why I have the big pieces by the fireplace! They laugh at me but it's all in fun. I was so excited to see your reaction to many if the pieces you picked up, the pieces were items I would have picked up myself so I almost felt as if I was there! Thank you for sharing your time and the treasures you found!
I luv the càts, they r beautiful. But I luv the swans so beautiful, I collect crystal. I also luv the Lil an big beautiful ducks. I have some old 1s, I also have a fancy for frogs lol
Im learning so much from you and Crazy Lamp Lady.I started yard saling and thrifting at a young age.I never knew much about antiques and boy im having so much with fun. I already have a wish list. Thanks so much for all the knowledge and tips Tiffany.Have a blessed Day💕🤗😃
Awesome haul of treasures you found! Appreciate your teaching as I shop along with you. Every video I learn more insight about treasures in the wild. The kitties were the top finds. Such cute darlings.
I found that same large ceramic kitty in my Goodwill in Arizona, she is beautiful and I'm so happy to have her. Lovely that you found the kittens as well😍 Love your channel, tfs!
We had that beautiful big white Persian kitty in our kitchen in the early 1980’s. My sister and I lived with my dad. I still don’t know what he did with it. Thank you for sharing the beautiful memories ❤️🙏
Bandit is a nosey little stinker, with the most unusual facial markings. Beautiful!!! Patricia Nash is expensive new. Usually she sells leather. I had 2 cats that looked like Ziggy. Ebby & Lilly. ❤
A great trip and wonderful selection, Tiffany! Your practiced eye and inherent optimism reunited the board and cloche, which is awesome. And, you rescue ceramic cats too!
Awesome finds. I’ve got 4 of the cats. Two curled up, one laying with its head raised and one sitting like this one you found. I’ve had them since 1976-77. I wouldn’t part with them for any amount of money.
Hi Tiffany! Looking forward to thrifting! 🤗 The beaded copper wired bonsai it lovely! ❤️ I like that you explain about the items whether you put them in your cart or not. Thank you for taking us along! ☺️💐🇬🇧
Tiffany, the large cat was something that my mother painted in the early eighties. My father passed in 79 and prior to that, she was caring for him, so I know hers was done in the early eighties. She did a ceramics class just to get out of the house. The pieces were already created and fired, so you only had to go in and paint them (and the eyes, of course, were the biggest part of it) then they would glaze it for you and after 2 or 3 classes you were finished and could do another piece. I also have a pencil cup with a horse rearing on its hind legs that is attached that she also did. The coloring doesn't reflect much depth as far as the horse's body and mane go, but I still treasure it, because she made it for me.
Those are the things Tiffany and other thrifters call “hobbyist pieces.” They have to be awfully unusual and professionally rendered before they’ll pick them up.
@@kit2130 I have seen Michael Todd of The Cult of Vintage buy "hobbyist" pieces. 1 halloween figurine he sold on his You Tube sales brought north of 40$ bucks. He has even sold a broken spider sitting on a pumpkin sold for really good bit. $25 ??? Really don't remember. But look him up. And Thrifter, Junker, Vintage Hunter also on UT. They often do sells together. Enjoy ur pieces.
Do you ever worry about space when buying? I've had a eBay storage unit just for eBay re sell. Bicycles and some clothing. If it doesn't sell the house fills up fast. 😂
Great walk-thru and haul Tiffany! Those apothecaries where so nice! They look amazing in the bathroom filled with bath salts, bath bombs, Q-tips, cotton balls etc.. They would look gorgeous in your new bathroom.☺️😉♥️
I have never seen a Goodwill this big with shopping carts or this organized and neat. Wow!
So many dear kittens and cats!
Now the yellow cat lives with me and it sits under an end table just like it lived for years when I was growing up😊
What a precious yellow cat you have!! Thank you so much for sharing!! 😊💕
The large cat is very similar to the one I have from my grandmas. The only difference is my cat's eyes are an iridescent/opalescence eye. My grandma had it as long as I can remember and I'm 50.
❤️❤️❤️
I did all 3 types of those cats and kittens, which was a 3pc set. The cat with yarn I gave to Aunt, but was destroyed in a house fire. What a past from the past! I have the big cat and the set of the kittens which I did in the 8th grade for 4-H.
My grandma made just wonderful ceramics as well. We need to revive the hobby☺️
Thank goodness you went back and seen the beaded tree!!! I spotted it earlier 😊

I am pretty sure my grandma had that Persian cat when i was little. So cool to see that!
I love your THRIFTING VEGAS quilt. I like the monogramming on both ends. Multi-purposed...protect your treasures and market your brand.
I wish i could get into that store!!! I LOVE thrift shops and i have seen you pick up things that i would love!!

I have always loved the old rose plates.
Tiffany, I just love watching your shopping videos. I learn so much on how to identify pieces that are worth picking up. I found a copper wire tree with jade leaves on a piece of sliced agate rock, I love it!
I did also but mine is in brown stone
@Dee Dee Nice find!
The galloping horses are my favorite piece from today's haul. They are gorgeous. The Mother cat and 2 small kittens are a set, she is very lovely. Love the bonsai tree.
I really loved the multiple cats, that large Persian was gorgeous. I am envious.
I love them too! 💗
The shark candle holder😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍. ADORABLE

Some cute stuff. My mom has that same tall white cat. To me that Bonsai Tree would been a Treasure. Love that. Not a bad price for that. Love your Black and White cat. Both Cats are so cute.
I have been looking for one of those for decades! You found the motherload!!!
My babysitter have my that cat for a house warming gift in! 1969. I love it!!!
Great haul! I especially love the cats. They remind me of my cats Frosty. He passed away last year at age 17 yrs. He was a stray & about 3 no old when I gave him a home. He was a laid back cat that got along with my dogs as well as other cats. He’s sorely missed.

Love the cats as well, my "Baby Kitty" passed last yr as well at 17 yrs, Bless you Marcia

Its a huge furbaby craze in this year of 2022
I painted one in 1970. I still have it.
I was gifted the set 25 odd years ago I doubt I would get $20 Aus for the set at a garage sale.
I made one in the early 70s for my grandma i still habe it
i had the mother and the two babies made in the 70s in 2016 they were stolen ,so i guess people still like them
I really enjoyed seeing all the white kittens! Last year I bought a bunch of short haired white cats off of ebay. I have relatives that live in Vegas. I wish my thirift stores were more like yours! Enjoy your videos. KEEP THIRIFTING!
OMGosh! I painted one of those cats - and the matching lying down - in my youth. They are packed in a box somewhere.
He is gorgeous, so smart looking🥰It’s like he’s looking right through you🥰
Love watching, my grandma had that very same vintage white kitty, seeing that gave me great memories ☺️
Thank you, I'm so happy the kitty brought back good memories!! 😊💗
Those candycane mugs were darling!! I would have wanted those from you. Just adorable 😍 💕 ❤️

The big white cat is gorgeous! My sister made one for me in the late 1970's because I had a white Persian cat that looked just like it.
I had two cats . That same one sitting up and one laying down. Both broke and gone now. But they were some of my favorite things
Kat, the Nurse Flipper would LOVE the Kokopelli glasses!

It's so special having family treasures!! 😊❤

I have the large cat it was my grandmothers ..I love it.
Aw I just found a kitty too! Just like this. So glad to know the small chips didn’t deter you from picking them up either 💕
I made 2 of the big cats in the 80’s. My mother and I took ceramic classes and we fell in love with the cats, so we. bought the green ware and made them.
Hi Tiffany. Lovely cats. You have a wonderful eye for vintage. I’m learning from you. Thank you. I love when you have a little chuckle sometimes. 😊
Hi Beverly! I appreciate that, thank you! 😊
) l
I have the exact same large kitty. My mom did ceramics in the Sixties and early Seventies. I believe my cat was painted in late Sixties, maybe 1965, 1966, 1967?? Mine is matte finish, bone color and antiqued in brown with green eyes. Love it!
Your cat sounds very interesting and unique!! 😊💕
The treeeeee! Wowser!!!!! Gorgeous!!!
I collect those, but this is out of my range. List high, this can pay for a specific item for your new home!!
Sweet Bandit, I enjoy seeing you.💕💕
I use to have a large ceramic Persian cat when I was a little girl. It was painted great. I loved it so much.
Life size roosters, they must be huge!! Wonderful find, so exciting!! 😄💕
I just found that 70s cat on there back piece a few weeks back. Love it
Aww the door stopper with the kitty with her yarn my grandma had one when I was little. Her cat was black with a red ball of yarn that took me back ❤️
It's hollow ceramic, so def not a doorstopper
I have been collecting cat figurines for more than 50 years. I have some valuable Fenton glass cats, I have large drawings of cats. Every kind of cat you can think of. Even the ones like you found this last time at the goodwill store.
What wonderful treasures you found, Tiffany!! Love the restored cloche! Big white cats & the carnival bowl are all stunning! 👍👍👍❤️🤗
I literally have one in my living room 💕💕OUR FAMILY LOVES HER
My grandog Hazel is a diabetic and use to gulp down her food way too fast. The doggie bowl with holes helps dogs to slow down thier digestion.
Thank you for the info! 😊
I really love watching your shopping at Goodwill.
The large Persian cat is a nice find ..my Aunt had 2 of those back in the 1970's.
I have one!!
I have one too. She's supposed to scare off mice.
I love your channel. I can't wait for new videos. You're the best
Thanks for picking up the hand painted cats. I like handmade things, I think of them as folk art. I use to have the wallet that go with the Vera Bradley purse. I wore it out. Enjoy your videos.
You're so welcome, I really appreciate handmade items too. Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Thank you so much for sharing Jan! All your kitties sound absolutely beautiful! 😊❤

We had that beautiful big white Persian kitty in our kitchen in the early 1980’s. My sister and I lived with my dad. I still don’t know what he did with it. Thank you for sharing the beautiful memories ❤️🙏
My mother painted ceramics back in the day. I have a white cat like those that you picked up that she made. I cherish that cat!
Hello! I LOVE all your treasures you found today! I especially LOVE the Bonsai tree! If I found that, I would probably HAVE TO KEEP IT! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! I am often tempted! 😄💞

I’ve collected Fenton glass for years. I work with a cat rescue and collects trinket cats as well. I have this beautiful white cat too. Love him.
How lovely Lisa! Thank you for sharing! 😊❤
@@ThriftingVegas do you perhaps still have the bowl with the S STAMP ON THE BOTTOM?
Bandit is a nosey little stinker, with the most unusual facial markings. Beautiful!!! Patricia Nash is expensive new. Usually she sells leather. I had 2 cats that looked like Ziggy. Ebby & Lilly. ❤
A great trip and wonderful selection, Tiffany! Your practiced eye and inherent optimism reunited the board and cloche, which is awesome. And, you rescue ceramic cats too!
Thank you so much! 💞
Can I get that beautiful black and white cat .... 😂 Love your videos and seeing what you pick up and explain why you get it.
Great haul Tiffany, hope we get to see your shipping set up when your settled in your new home!💞
You are right about the Xmas tins, I do collect for my baked treats during Xmas, so handy!
I love the cats, my mother had them when I was growing up.
Awesome finds. I’ve got 4 of the cats. Two curled up, one laying with its head raised and one sitting like this one you found. I’ve had them since 1976-77. I wouldn’t part with them for any amount of money.
Thank you Tiffany! Great finds.
Thank you!! 😊
I painted the small white kitten laying on her back in ceramics in the 1970's . And I remember them having the large Persian cat mold too!
Hi Tiffany! Looking forward to thrifting! 🤗
The beaded copper wired bonsai it lovely! ❤️

@@patrickmckinley9937 Hi ! I’m well. Thank you for asking. Hope you are also. 👍
I actually have one of those vintage large porcelain cats, that my grandmother painted. I'm never gonna get rid of it because of sentimental reasons.
LOVED all the kitties! That was great and they are so adorable and besides the chip in the kitten's ear, they looked fantastic!
I have had the big white cat for yrs. Love her.
You got some really gorgeous pieces! I love the copper wire bonsai.
Love how your cat grooms the other one.
Adorable.
Are ceramics from the 70’s & 80’s all worth something? I have several I did as a kid in 4-H 😃
@@kit2130 I know....my mother would be overjoyed to know her cat was worth $80!
You have a great store with lots of nice things 😉
That’s so cool your trivet is a cloche!! I bet you’re getting so anxious to get into your new home!!💕
Can't wait!! 💞
The pretty German plates make an excellent gift when you put cookies on them! Cookies & a pretty plate to keep :-)
Lovely, thank you!! 😊
Great walk-thru and haul Tiffany! Those apothecaries where so nice! They look amazing in the bathroom filled with bath salts, bath bombs, Q-tips, cotton balls etc.. They would look gorgeous in your new bathroom.☺️😉♥️
Lovely idea, thank you! 😊💞
