First of all, Union Flag (Jack if flown at sea). Second, I think the flags were already combined sometime after the Union of the Crowns in 1603 as England and Scotland became part of a personal union under King James the 6th of Scotland (and 1st of England).

James VI/I proposed the designs. However they were never used as Scotland and England still had separate parliaments till 1707
the combined flags werent used, for a sort of combined flag google the flag of the "Commonwealth of England and Scotland" used in the mid 1600s

As far as I know, Spanish has the second highest native speakers with over 470 million
And in third place us English with over 350 million (I think... I don't remember)
In terms of total speakers as far I know... English is the most spoken language just surpassing mandarin with over 100 million and Spanish is on third place with a bit over 500 million.
But mandarin is... I don't know, overrated? It's mainly spoken in China meanwhile Spanish is spoken in a big chunk of south America, the Caribbean and the United States and English is spoken in the United States, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa (I think), India (besides its own language that I can't remember in this moment) and well basically former British colonies, but I must say.... I only now the top 3 most spoken languages as in speakers and natives speakers.
And I also need a more accurate source because all of them agree with English, Mandarin and Spanish but not agree what are I 4th 5th 6th... places soo...

Once small detail, England and Scotland had the same monarch (or Cromwell) for about 100 years before they unified to form Great Britain, despite both being indepent countries during that time.
Yes because, Scotland’s King inherited England’s crown, so Scotland basically took over England but let them be an independent nation...
@@innesmacneil That's a gross oversimplification if I've ever seen one. It's not at all like Scotland took over England, like at all. When James I inherited the throne of England, it wasn't like he was a foreign invader taking the throne against the will of England, it was actually England that made sure he'd inherit the throne as opposed to some other, more Catholic claimants (that's also why England executed the former Queen of Scotland, Mary who was James I's mother. James I based his reign in England, only ever returning to Scotland once, he also pushed for a united British Parliament, and styled himself as King of Great Britain and Ireland, bringing me to my next point.
The point of my comment was to show that England and Scotland wouldn't have been enemies leading up to the acts of union like the video suggests, as between the reigns or James I and Queen Anne, since during that time they both had the same Monarch/Cromwell. Obviously before James I they had different monarchs, and during the reign of Queen Anne, the acts of Union were implemented so England and Scotland ceased to be Kingdoms.

Brittany was actually settled by Britons fleeing the Anglo-Saxons and was independent from France for over 1000 years until 1532 when they became separate kingdoms under the same crown and Brittany was finally absorbed into France during the French revolution.
