This is so simple, sp basic, and therefore, perfect. As a psychiatrist, I have now referred it to a number of my patients. It enhances the work we are trying to do together. Thank you, Christian.
Absorbing experience without labelling. Mind analyses in-order to use/gain from the experience. Senses register automatically. Where they come from or where they go nobody knows for sure. Speculation will arise from sun up till sun down. Good work Christian. Thank you for pointing "this" out.
No. Appearances, sights do not appear in experience as you state in this video. They appear in consciousness (which is not an experience). When we say 'I perceive' and we believe (and feel) that there is a person who is doing the perceiving, that is purely a belief. What we refer to as ignorance. We are projecting a SEPARATE, PERSONAL, LIMITED perceiver. It is an add-on. This does mean there is no "I". Let's take a closer look. The 'I' which perceives is not separate from the perception. In fact, it is creation/perception as one. The term 'I' in "I perceive" refers to consciousness. It is a manner of speech in the human realm. There is no me. This does not mean that there is no perceiving element, a perceiving aspect, consciousness. You say 'there is seeing itself, pure experience alone'. That is the idealist view which says everything is mind. You are denying the materialist view which says there is a real world out there. The way to reconcile your POV and the materialist POV is to realize the reality of consciousness includes all realities, since there is only one reality, which is consciousness. You are mistaken in saying there is no seer. What is more correct to understand is that there is no separate seer. There is a seer. I see this screen. The 'I' which sees this screen is a) the screen is not separate from the seer, b) the seer and the seeing are one, c) the seen, the seer and seeing are one. This is the play of consciousness. I hear. Why are you denying 'I hear'? The hearing takes place in consciousness, which has no location, no form, no size, no dimensions. You say 'there is pure experience alone', do you mean it is hanging in the air and there is no knowingness? That would be foolish to deny knowingness, awareness, consciousness. It sounds like neo-advaita. This video is the idealist POV. It falls short in overlooking consciousness.
This is awesome, but I feel I am too lost in thought to actually experience it directly. Any advise on how to "calm" the mind would be appreciated. Thanks for this video though, its great. Points awareness exactly to where I assume the implied centre of cognition resides, which never the less is NOT there. ahahah Its a great discovery!
Not ironic at all. The truth is one, and thus all Orthodox religions contain it, veiled behind their differing forms. Really, all the truths of non-duality are all contained in Christ's statement's "The Kingdom of Heaven is within you", "Love your neighbor AS YOURSELF" and "There is only one that is good, that is, God". You might be interested in the great Christian mystic Meister Eckhart.
Alan Kuntz It's understood that hearing and seeing belong to the senses. The function of the pointing exercises is to bring the experience where there is no separation experienced between senses (the body or "I") and what is being sensed. The body is never actually experienced in the moment. It is only ever experienced in time. When there is awareness of time or location, dual mode is in operation..

As much as it can't be found,
when it happens,
you'll find yourself asking:
"How did I miss it?"
I downloaded this to mp3 and put it on "loop" and meditated with it for an hour. One of the best - simple and to the point.
How its going ?

Wow!
Who is this person you’re asking to self enquire and who could chose to do so?
the knower and the known are not separated it is the knowing presence only separated(illusion) by the human mind
Lovely xxx
Well done.

inquire into these questions you're saying don't think or analyze. It's not possible to do that without some thinking and some analysis.
it is possible, thought says i am thinking ,where is the i am in your here and now actual experience other than thoughts?
Being needs nothing. No permission from you. No thought. ❤️
Did he die?
No, he was never there to begin with. It was just a terrible misunderstanding. 😁😘

There are a lot better, more articulate nondual pointers out here than this.
Can you give an example?
Alan Kuntz If you would be so kind as to provide a link or two that would be appreciated
Hearing happens with your ears and seeing happens with your eyes. That's the location
Alan Kuntz That is what you know to be happening using your memory and the thinking mind. But is your experience?
@@kidyounot3387 so is there a thinker of thoughts?

@@kidyounot3387 So it does NOT happen?
I am sure you won't catch your ears hearing nor your eyes seeing.
