This is a demo from the first incarnation of WASP. I believe the complete collection of demos is refered to as "Face The Attack" or( "Masters of Disaster", but I'm pretty sure its called face the attack). The original Line-up consisted of:
Blackie Lawless - Lead Vocals
Rik Fox - Bass guitar
Tony Richards - Drums
Randy Piper - Lead Guitar

Great demo forever.
This is Awesome!!! Piece of History that needs to be out there for the masses!!
Original Cassette artwork by Rik Fox. I created this box art. We recorded this as a live 3-track at Randy Piper's rehearsal studio shortly after I was accepted in the band Sister in 1982. Then I created the band name WASP. Some years later after we recorded it, this tape was temporarily stored in a car that was stolen. Somehow, someone knew it's potential value and spread it all over the world. This is the mix from my original stolen tape. I wonder who did it?

In the mid 80’s when I was around 15 it was a common thing to swap tapes, especially from live performances and other hard to get recordings. I got a copy of this tape then, and I had it since. I’m glad I kept it, and I’m happy these are also shared here on UA-cam.
Great work Rik!
I think I like this better than the album version!
one more time. thanks Rik

Never heard this before,I like it!
It's a good thing Randy quit doing the lead. WASP isn't WASP without Blackie on vocals.
You can actually hear my tribute-homage to Dennis Dunnaway from Alice Cooper in my 'Muscle of Love' swing-style descending bass runs in the chorus.

RIK is SICK!!! lol.... love you man
Interesting that the guitar of the song Warriors of Metal, from USA Tyrant (released in 1985) , is the same with the guitar here. I suppose the song of Tyrant was also ready much earlier than the LP release date , and they were playing it in live concerts in 1984. But really I wonder if they have listened to the demo here , in 1982 or 1983 , or maybe they have listened to the song while attending a WASP concert in 1983-1984. Or just got the LP on 1984, listened to it , and at some point subconsciously created the song Warriors of Metal , without even realizing they "stole" the riff. Anyway Tyrant produced a good song with different vocal melodies than WASP , and I do not complain that both songs exist.
Rik Fox!!!
this doesn't sound like Blackie singing, sounds like Randy Piper and I know he did background singing on the first album and the Last Command
It is Randy Piper, Blackie Lawless just start to sing at 2:23 ... the difference between the voices is really shoutin... you people should get better with your ears before start talking
I would love a copy of this
FUCK YEAH!
fuck... i fell into the matrix lol. is that Blackie doing backing vocals? thats holmes on lead?
Best of WASP is The Headless Children and Crimson Idol
