The only tip, while not changing the pattern, would be to use a thinner yarn and a smaller crochet hook.

Hi. Thank you for pointing that out. I added the stitches in the description and will also post them here.
The stitches are (using US crochet terms):
▪️ a chain stitch
▪️ a single crochet stitch
▪️ an increase stitch (2sc in 1) - make two single crochet stitches in the same one
▪️ a decrease stitch (sc tog 2) - single crochet two stitches together

For the jumper perhaps make just one letter but what I would still do is the edge.
Think it will also be easier to sew it on.
