However, I want to try Valeo which seems fit according to factroy fit list. Would you suggest to do so? The reasons are it is %40 cheaper and it feels more solid, the flywheel doesn't move as much as sachs's product. It would affect the driving experience in a positive way. I just presume.

Just finished doing this job on my Picasso II E-HDI, and truely, what a crime the way they engineered this POS. I hope i never have to replace the starter motor on this thing. Anyone doing this job, be careful, the front bolts of the subframe have retaining nuts held in place by flimsy plastic pieces! It took me 16 hours to replace the flywheel and clutch, by comparison, I replaced the clutch of a Peugeot 107 before in under 4 hours. My local Peugeot dealer dared to ask 3000 euro for this job!
I have send you a small donation, it would have been 10 times harder without this video, keep up the good work! + I wanna encourage anyone watching this video doing this job themselves, please help out this hero!
Does it not have a self-adjusting clutch, on which you have to compress the spring in the pressure plate before tightening it to the fly-wheel? I believe my C3 Picasso from 2010 has it.
It’s a self adjusting clutch. But I’ve never heard or had to compress any springs. Not even for a C3. All you have to do is press the clutch pedal after installation like shown in the video and that’s how it adjusts itself. And as you drive over time and keep pressing the pedal as the clutch plate wears down the auto adjuster keeps releasing so there’s always tension on the clutch system. Hope that helps.
@@WMCS great video, many thanks for your efforts. One question. My car is a C4 grand picasso 1.6hdi egs system... therefore, I dont have clutch pedal. Will self adjusted after drive a bit? I will need to plug the diagnosis tool to calibrate the gearbox? thanks in advance
Hello, very good tutorial, thank you, how much gearbox oil should I put in? There is no other place to put it? There are other models that underneath the battery have a vent for the box and it fills up there, it doesn't. You, what did you put it for the reversing sensor? Thank you so much
Hi Kevin, do you need to lower the subframe to get the job done ? or was it just to get the drain plug out ? need to know to do the job as my car is similar. Cheers
You should always use a torque wrench if unsure. My personal answer is I do these every single day. A bit like you learn how to drive but when you pass your test over time you develop a knowing instinct.
Can you give me spare part numbers for comparison? Did you buy everything as a set or individually? My C4 has run 85000 km. Do you think it makes sense to swap the dual mass flywheel at the same time? best regards
Thanks for supporting the channel. I’m always adjusting the torque setting via my phone app. But it goes up to 1400nm. But in general. There’s are the settings I use. 200nm 150nm 50nm
Here in Canada the manual transmission is going the way of the doh doh... Curious... Do mechanics out your way follow a flat rate system? I like the line up tool you use. Where can I get one?

Great work. I've just bought one of these with a reported clutch/flywheel change less than 10k miles ago. There is a rattle when depressing the clutch on gear changes. Any thoughts on the cause? Do you get over as far as Great Yarmouth? Cheers
Thinking of getting one of these. Are you happy with the C4 Grand Picasso 1.6L Diesel so far? Any thing you think I should look for? Thanks for your time.
Having discovered clutch slip in my brother's similar 2015 Citroen, I sold it today, just as well as it looks a swine of a job to fix, and possibly DMF to have to replace as well. Shame, it was a nice vehicle otherwise, aside from when it broke down in France when someone borrowed it to visit Disneyland and it had to be recovered to the UK - typical French car snags!

@@WMCS doing repair in next few days im a HGV mechanic by trade but I do bits on cars and vans but never done a clutch on one of these yet lol yes the advice would really be appreciated do I need to drop full subframe thanks again 😀

Merry christmas !! Kevin
Thank you Danny and a happy new year ahead .,, thanks for your support to the channel.
Hello, very good tutorial, thank you, how much gearbox oil should I put in?
There is no other place to put it? There are other models that underneath the battery have a vent for the box and it fills up there, it doesn't.
You, what did you put it for the reversing sensor?
Thank you so much
Thankyou.
Were you topping up the gear oil in the side above the driveshaft?
have a happy and health christmis Kevin Albert Williams! and a happy new year
Thank you and merry Christmas 🎄 to you and thanks for supporting the channel., very much appreciated.
Hi Kevin, do you need to lower the subframe to get the job done ? or was it just to get the drain plug out ? need to know to do the job as my car is similar. Cheers
Ideally yes. It’ll make life a lot easier.
I’ve re updated this repair on channel video log.
Look in comment sections for it.
Good job,great video...Thank You.
Chapeau a great job,bravo.
why don't you use the torque wrench?
You should always use a torque wrench if unsure. My personal answer is I do these every single day. A bit like you learn how to drive but when you pass your test over time you develop a knowing instinct.
I always wish all the best, to the engineer who put that one bolt behind the dpf/cat on a 1.6 PSA engine... best of luck to him.
Tell me about it. It’s spilled onto the Ford and mini as well. All use the same engine.
Bonjour et ce que vous nettoyer la Boite a vitesse avec d'eau svp merci ?
vous pouvez utiliser n'importe quel solvant. mais dans ce cas, c'était un nettoyant pour freins.
Respect for making video, subscriber made💪👍
Thanks for the sub!
Excellent work Kevin , Merry Christmas mate.
Is it same process to change 2016 Picasso's clutch?
Great vids Kevin you some grafter and perfect pictures from camera what camera do you use thank you
Thanks for the support Frank .., I’m using an old GoPro 4.,, they don’t do them anymore. It’s the size of a matchbox.
Can you give me spare part numbers for comparison? Did you buy everything as a set or individually? My C4 has run 85000 km. Do you think it makes sense to swap the dual mass flywheel at the same time? best regards
Très bonne vidéo bien détaillé
how long does it take you to change a clutch and flywheel on a 2013 Citroën C4 Picasso 2 please?
Hi how much oil goes in the gear box please
Thanks
Do you do also the one that is automatic gear box c4?
Just subscribed! Great videos! May I ask you what torque/speed settings are you using on your impact gun and for what type of jobs?
Thanks for supporting the channel.
I’m always adjusting the torque setting via my phone app. But it goes up to 1400nm.
But in general. There’s are the settings I use.
200nm
150nm
50nm
@@WMCS thank you!
Great video Kevin. What's the make / size of trim clip removal tool you use at about 2:26 in to remove the wheel arch liner clips?
Szép munka ügyes vagy !
Here in Canada the manual transmission is going the way of the doh doh... Curious... Do mechanics out your way follow a flat rate system? I like the line up tool you use. Where can I get one?
I charge per job.
Good Video already done my clutch once but your way was easier how many clutches can you do in a day I used to be keen like you I’m 55 now I can still do these job just not as fast as a young lad like you
That’s great to know the video came in handy.
I only do one a day now. But a few years ago I was doing two a day.
@@WMCS iv just replaced the clutch again in my c4 grand picasso mk2 them starter motor bolts arnt the easiest to get to but you can get in from drivers side with tiny little extensions much easier first time I changed clutch I removed box all together it’s a heavy old thing better your way loosen sub frame off and just push it over I never had one of those clutch alignment tools but the box whent straight back on thanks kev
just for info how often do you change your socket if you use everytime impact wrench?
The wickets normally last about 4 years.
But things like torx., Allen keys, ratchet spanners., I replace them as they break which is quite often.
@@WMCS wow the problem is 1/2 Square or the hexagon?
👍🏽super ! It was a very long job !
Merci beaucoup et joyeux Noel 🎄🎄
@@WMCS merci à toi ! Joyeux Noel you too✨🌲👍🏽
minutes video 1:17 how many liters of oil go into the manual gearbox? Thanks happy new year
Do you mean this car specifically or in general
@@WMCS I'm talking about this video and then about this citroen picasso 1.6 hdi engine
Usually give or take a few ML it takes 2.8L..,
Just came across the video, very insightful 👌 what kind of labour hours are involved for a job like this??
Book time on this one about 9hrs. But out here about 7hrs
Hi, can you please, tell me how much oil need for gearbox?
Good day!!! Can you tell me the catalog number of the VALEO vaccination kit for the car citroen c4 grand picasso 1.6 diesel 2009 model year robotic gearbox. Thank you...
Hi Kevin hope you got had a good Christmas really enjoy watching your videos no easy task ripping out clutches on the ground keep up the great work 👍 quick question astra h 1.7 diesel do you need to lower the subframe completely our can I just do what you have done with the 1.3 astra h and lower it down and then wedge a lump of timber cheers
Same thing., almost identical.
I have a 1.7 after new year if you can wait that long I’ll film the repair.
Otherwise more than happy to point you in the right direction.
@@WMCS doing repair in next few days im a HGV mechanic by trade but I do bits on cars and vans but never done a clutch on one of these yet lol yes the advice would really be appreciated do I need to drop full subframe thanks again 😀
Only partially .., you’ll have plenty of room to take the clutch and Fly out. You don’t even need to touch the starter motor and it’s bolts.
Subframe gearbox side all bolts out and drop link. Driver’s side slacken about 1/3 of the way out.
Thanks for the advice really appreciate it 🙏 do I need to remove passenger side drive shaft our will it pull with the box cheers 🍻
great video very in formative i will definitely subscribe.a1 man ace.
Thank you. I think you should to honour the Williams surname legacy 😁😎🍻🍻

Hi, did you do any programming after changing the clutch kit, i.e pressurizing etc using Lexia?
Not required mate.

On a diferent note Mr Bolt how much you think will cost to fix my picasso same model am in london
